    Und der Antrieb soll leise sein, laut Proschüre 😂 Da ist ja der Wittur und Ziehl-Abbeg leiser. Ich kenne einige 5500er und sind alle laut, egal ob Baujahr 2020 oder 2023 sind. Bei Schindler sind die alle laut, außer dir 3300er, die sind schön leise.

      Hahaha. Ja ich glaub bei nem sich entwickelnden Lagerschaden (ist zumindest meine Vermutung hier) ist wohl kein Antrieb mehr leise xD
      Die anderen beiden Anlagen der Gruppe sind da bedeutend angenehmer.

      Durchaus, der 5500 ist vielseitig einsetzbar und dank der schnellen Steuerungsabläufe auch in der Lage, grosse Personenströme zu befördern. Eine echte Allroundlösung für den Mid- und niedrigen High-Rise Bereich.

      @@TheLiftDragon don't they said that it was mid-rise 50 floor? Or 50floor(150m) is called high rise

    • @TheLiftDragon
      @TheLiftDragon  Před 10 měsíci +3

      @@Aut5500_MAIN I'd say that depends on the region. Around here we would call a building with more then 20 floors a high-rise building, that's about 50 meters. But as of lifts most of them installed in these buildings are not technically "high-rise lifts" because of the conventional technology they use and the rather slow speed. But also the opposite exists: I have seen lifts with less then 50 meters of travel that use high-rise components, an extreme example has 19 floors only and travels at 4m/s.
      So in general the lines are kinda blurred and there are more factors than just the height.

      Bei dieser Anlage möchte ich keine genauere Standortagabe öffentlich preisgeben, sie befindet sich aber in einer der Grossstädte in der Deutschschweiz. In der Schweiz wie auch in Deutschland gibt es zudem einige 5500 mit 2.5m/s und es gibt auch Eurolifte mit 2.5m/s.

    • @TheLiftDragon
      @TheLiftDragon  Před 11 měsíci +2

      The 5500 is mechanically built much better than the Gen2, let alone the CO-MX controller, which is far superior than the GECB in any way.

      @@TheLiftDragon not where I'm from. Schindler rides like garbage and are built like tin cans. The difference in fixtures alone should tell me all I need to know

    • @TheLiftDragon
      @TheLiftDragon  Před 11 měsíci +4

      Judging a lift by its fixtures is like judging a book by its cover.
      I assume you're from the US as that's the only place I know where Otis generally performs better than Schindler. The very same thing you say about Schindler is true for modern Otis lifts in Europe. Gen2s from the year 2010 onwards are built like cardboard, especially the walls of the cheaper models feel like they could be punched through.
      The Schindler 3300 is the equivalent to the said cheap Gen2.
      But this here is not a 3300, it is a 5500 and it is built far better. There also are more durable modern-day models of Gen2 in Europe but they are very rare. The only other truly solid Gen2s I have come across are the old models from 2005 around but they are not subject of this comparison as it is about the 5500 and that did not exist back then. 2005 was the era of the Eurolift and these were built better than any belt traction MRL.
      But this comparison of mechanical systems still doesn't account for the controller deficit of all Gen2s: The GECB, which is the controller used in Gen2s since approx. 2008, is completely inferior to the CO-MX by Schindler. It has bad ESD protection, it is unreliable and it is very unintuitive to operate. The Otis controllers reside in a closed proprietary ecosystem, same as Schindler. But Schindler managed to build an intuitive and simple Interface for technicians into their system which can also easily be understood by 3rd party companies. Changes in the controller are directly written to the drive and the whole system just works flawlessly when parameters are changed. And that is not possible with Otis' GECB. Setting up the controller is overcomplicated, which should never be the case for a modern day controller. The last truly good controller system built by Otis was the MCS 321 with the RCB 2 controller inside, everything after that is just garbage.

      @@TheLiftDragon I agree with you about the Otis Gen2 in Europe. We have a 2018 Gen2 lift which feels very flimsy. The cabin makes metallic noises when boarding and un-boarding as if everything was not secured properly (you can actually push back some panels with your hand), the color LCD screen (the modern ones displaying time, weather, and some customizable info along with the floor) and the electronic voice inside the cabin do not work (freeze) since we changed our maintenance provider (because OTIS still doesn't let them access their interface). When it was installed the lift spent about 3 months almost permanently shut down because of "motor encoder failure". And by two times I had to call a technician because when traveling down the lift developed a scratching noise like tin cans rubbing against concrete would do. Today it still makes a loud clunk when arriving at the basement depending on where you stand inside the cabin.
      Yeah this is a "brand new" lift ... At least it moves up and down !
      Otis seems capable of building some of the best lifts, but most of their recent residential lifts I've seen seemed flimsy to me. I see them often in new residential buildings, I suspect they really drag their prices and quality down to win bids.
