Hi Brett. We spoke years ago on the phone and I was hoping you were still around because I'd like to speak with you again. I want to see how you've been, and discuss some things with you. I remember you having some strong views on marriage and divorce and I have been thinking of this issue a lot lately because I had a real life situation arise and it brought the issue of marriage to the forefront for me. My main questions: is sex marriage in God's eyes (two become one flesh)? Is virginity important? If a women has had past lovers, but never been married in the way the world views marriage, can a Christian man marry her?
My personal answers to these questions at this time is: Yes. Yes. No.
Can you please email me @ sovereign.free at gmail.com and I'll give you my phone number so we can talk. I'd love to hear from you again.

Just an FYI, the inspired NT Greek...this word translated as "Lust" is epithumo (verb) or the noun epithumos. ..they are not limited to sexual passions but ALL intemperate passions that are unrighteous. please keep this in mind. In Matthew 5:28 and the like, it is the context that tells us it is sexual desire. God wants...yay he demands we become temperate and self controlled, as Paul preached in Acts 24:24-25.

Jesus revealed a chain of adultery - The lustful look leads to the affair, the affair leads to the divorce, the divorce to remarriage. If the seed (the look) is adultery, so is the fruit (the remarriage).
Jesus calls the Look adultery only once, but He calls remarriage adultery eight times. Yet, the Look (although it needs to be discussed) gets nearly all the focus in our churches. The reason is obvious - D&R people are welcomed as is because the pulpits have gone mute on the topic. Worse, pastors officiate remarriages! There's also fear of controversy if it's addressed Biblically with fear of losing $$ if they do. Their salt has lost its savor. No wonder Jesus calls this an *adulterous* and evil generation with a warning about being ashamed of His words. Woe is all I see. God help us.

      Friend me
I'm guessing your point is that not all lust is sin or adultery
But this verse is the opening context of defiling other men's wives
Example in James: lust bringeth forth sin and the completion of the lusted sin bringeth forth death
The lust of a woman that is adultery in the heart is the coveting of another mans wife(the 10th commandment)
Jesus was explaining a commandment that nobody feared because their was no external evidence until the covetous sin of the heart is done and finished
      So take heed
You can't get stoned for adultery in your but when you find a way(Deut 24:1-4) to justify it then you might not get stoned but God knows the Truth and hell is prepared

Mathew 5:28 is the 10th commandment preached
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife
    No more and no less
