- 35 mins of filming, around 500 people had a chance to see the hungry boy and only a few people helped. In the original video we focused on one incredible group who cared. Now it's time to acknowledge a few others who did the same #icareenough
This boy is actully really good actor, makes me think that he really is homeless. And he showed us a life of real homeless person.
I can feel that boy's pain, b'cus I experienced it 100's of time.
I have got your back my little bro, anything you want the food all you can eat. God bless to those kiwis who opened they heart's to one of our own.
Everyone should care about a child. Children need to be loved and protected.
Thank God it was a social experiment..... I literally cried😞😭 when the boy was eat out of the trash can.
Bless those people who cared about him!(^^) I know people noticed about this boy but most of them ignored him... There were few people who stood right next to him to throw the trash while he was putting his hand in the trash can....yet they said nothing to him... It angered me to see so many had no compassion.... I'm sure I'd talk to him & feed him right away. I've done it to a homeless guy who was sitting on the sidewalks right next to the hamburger shop. I bought an extra burgers & sodas & offered it to him & he looked at me with disbelief but he accepted it & smiled while thanking me many times. It's heartbreaking to see anyone hungry... especially the children... We all need to protect them. I hope more people start caring others....other than themselves for a better future.
Its a reality in most countries even Nz, but thank god for the kind hearted people who do care 💙💜

The other day I saw an old man doing just this (rummaging rubbish bins in Auckland city), I asked if he was alright but he ignored me and moved onto another bin... And gave me a creepy stare. Looks like he didn't want help. However this doesn't discourage me from reaching out. Those who politely respond to me are the ones who want help, not that rude man.

I wouldn't care if it is a child...a grown man or woman or an animal...nothing and nobody deserves to eat out of the trash. 😭 we lack such compassion as humans these days it's so sad.

It was incomprehensible to me that people actually threw trash into the bin that the child was rummaging through and didn't ask him if he was hungry. They just walked away, really shocking.

The other day l was at the local service station/convenience store,the old bloke in front of me whom I'd seen walk in (no car) was fumbling with silver coins for his milk and newspaper, it's clear he doesn't have enough so l handed the girl a $5 dollar note and said l'd pay for it and the look on his face was shock/disbelief .My actual cost was $2.50 when did such a small gift become a shocking thing for someone else to do

It may have been a social experiment, and the boy may have been a perfectly safe actor (who did a fantastic job, by the way), but it's a sad reality for too many kids (one is too many), and most people just can't be bothered to care. Try explaining that to God on judgement day. Oh wait, most people don't believe in that either.

A child used for NZ police recruitment, are cops generally caring ? NZ does not have a great reputation for child welfare. In "Hungry Boy 1 " many of the passers by were asian , all these factors can affect such experimental results.
