1.18.2 broke this machine with some falling sand changes. The concept still works, you just need to add some leaves under where the sand will drop. That is to say, under each downwards facing piston at the same level as the lowest slime block. Hope the bug that causes this gets a patch.

I made it first
They keep stealing videos from creators who spend alot of time making the design, and often times earn way more views than the original creators, you being one of them. This feels scummy, I don't know how you can stay so positive ray.
@@LeviAckerman-ry4nk most people aren't purposely trying to reshow designs as their own. They just forgot to mention it's from someone else. I think it's important to give them the benefit of the doubt.
@@RaysWorks The credit part is not the whole problem tho, they remake tutorials for farms which already have a block by block tutorial. They have stolen alot of content from Ianxofour, and he even has block by block tutorials but they still remade it on their channel, even tho they gave credit. This tends to make them unable to give tips for trouble shooting, too. They sometimes even build the farms wrong which results in lower rates, for example the concrete maker they made from you and one more creator and they forgot to give credit to the other creator who helped you make the farm. These are just some of the problems which I see, I am sure there are alot more.

@@apocrophon2199 I haven't tried it, but I read somewhere that dragon eggs can be duped with a method like this, but that because they fall slower the timings need to be different.

Hey guys, in case your chunk loader is not working (i.e. only fires one way and doesn't come back) make sure that the direction you face going into the portal to the nether is the direction you face when you build the wall on the nether side. For example, I built my portal in the overworld and the dropper would shoot it out in the west direction. When I went into the nether, I built my chunk loader with the dropper facing east. This messed up the build because the item coming through wouldn't be stopped by the wall. So to ensure it works, make sure both that your dropper systems face the same direction (west in my case) and this should solve the issue of the item not coming back through.

Hey. In 1.19 you may struggle with that the pistonsdont catch the sand and it falls to the ground.
I have solution. Place Leaves over the redstone where the sand drops!

i did the mushroom thing on my server but instead of deleting the end portal frames it just didnt place mushroom blocks there. Did it get patched?

@@snappy4212 what i did was that i downloaded the world from your server and removed the world file from your server change to vanilla and drag the world files back and done it can be a bit tricky o have done it multiple times but you can watch on yt

@@jessesimms5642 it works... For me Atleast. I'm playing on 1.16.5 on a server and it works in single player as well. Your chunk loader may be in the wrong chunk (no way of knowing what's the right one besides trial and error)

Works perfectly in 1.18 and you could also make this an afk obsidian farm. Just grab your pick and mine the obsidian platform below, it will be constantly regenerated

@Michal Medvedík to be honest I don’t rlly play mc anymore but I remember that when I did I normally just afked in th end as if I used a chunk loader and went outside the end for anymore than 5 minutes my game crashed from all the items, so I would just afk in the end
Works perfectly in 1.18.1 in 2022! Just make sure you follow every step, correctly ( i rebuilt like 6 times cos i messed up). I ran all 4 machines for 1 minute and got 10 stacks of sand and some very happy endermen with a bunch of blocks.

Just finished it with the lead trick and it works great. I will be needing all of this sand for a ocean monument draining base
2 years later a little tip, place a bed next to your sand duper (IN OVERWORLD) so you can go to the overworld and turn it off, otherwise you might have to travel to your end portal while the duper is activate casing ur end to crash

Mushroom didn't remove end portal frames. Disabled Forge and Optifine - ran in pure vanilla from the Mojang launcher. Worked like a charm.

You see where the sand is falling? Place three leaves over the sand and then just put the sand on the slimes again and it will work.

For anyone wondering, yes it works as of 1.16.2.
If you are having trouble, here are some issues I had with this design.
The portal chunk loader sometimes spits the item out without the hoppers picking it up. I solved this by moving the observer tower to the side of the droppers opposite the portal and blocking off both sides of the portal completely.
I also had to move my regular nether portal over 100 blocks away because items were coming through the wrong one.
This means if you want a portal to travel yourself, move it 100 blocks away from this one and leave this one blocked up in the overworld. (I blocked off my nether side as well. And I had no issues after that! well worth the effort. Finally I can afk farm sand for large projects. Thank you once again!
what do you mean by moving the observer tower?
@@ashxd3411 Just mirror the design. If your observer tower is on the left of your portal, move it to the right, and mirror the circuit in the other side. Just do it on a single side, the one where the item is not being picked up.
Is there a solution if my portal is in two chunks?
Thx, I was really struggling to find a fix for the portal chunk loader issue.
Alternative options:
If the items are spat out, mirror the whole observer + dropper thing to the other side of the portal in one dimension (either nether or overworld), should also work.
If two portals near each other, move them to the same height (in nether specifically) and make sure the portal coordinates exactly match (nether coords x 8 = overworld coords), because most of the times the automatically generated portal coordinates don't match. Doing that allowed me to place portals in nether 4 blocks apart and still function perfectly.

Still working. At 4:52 you just have to make sure the chunkloader is in the same chunk as the 6 missing portal frames, the rest of the machine does not matter.

For those who have an obsidian farm in their end portals, you can build this in the end where it will be duped to your original spawn point. you can figure out where this is by dropping a load of sand into the portal in the end, then look for the pillar and build the stuff he shows to build in the end , at your spawn point.

For those wondering, one chunk loader should be enough even if the left and right dupers are partially in different chunks. My chunk border intersects the machine almost in the middle as you see the left and right dupers. One chunk loader is able to keep them both running.
But I don't know what happens if the chunk border runs through the middle of the sand line.

Portals load a 48x48 area (for entities) and this machine is only 21 blocks wide at the most, you can never run into a situation where 1 chunk loader is not enough for this farm.

chunk loaders load a 3x3 chunk area around the chunk where the portal was made. so assuming your farm was 6 chunks long, youd need 2 of them.
One thing to remember is when building the chunk loader in the nether, make sure the dropper that faces the portal is facing the same direction as the one in the overworld otherwise it won't work

But you would think that someone who can crush gold with their bare hands with such tremendous force that it becomes a solid, one cubic meter piece would be able to grind gravel for a few minutes. Not even that unrealistic since that’s how concrete is recycled. Hell, we now have hydraulic machines that pulverize glass back into crystalline sand. Mojang just doesn’t want us to actually have fun building in a building game I guess.

Oh yeah, rays work design. I always make this in every world or server I play in. It's so op. If anyone is wondering, you can have up to 4 modules in one portal if you want a more efficient duper. I suggest you make an item collection in the end as well, the blocks go flying out in a "t" shape when they enter the end, so use that to your advantage when you're building the collection system.

Can confirm that it works in 1.18pre2. Chunkloader is important to make, otherwise you won't get blocks in the end.
Also, don't afk at the machine, you need to afk in the END.
For those who ask it works in 1.20 with a few adjustements :
- For the chunk loader you have to redirect the redstone flow and build a wall in front of the portal or else the item will escape
- For the duplicator you have to put obsidian 2 blocks below the upper slime blocks (put only in the first and 3rd block)
This cuts the efficiency by 2/3 but at least it works

I absolutely love that you take the time to show us everything and build everything in survival.
If anybody forgot to turn off the machine in the overworld, what you need to do is enter the end and hit escape immediately. Then open to LAN.
turn your render distance to "2" and it should lag at the start but after a few minutes, it should work. If game crashes try it again

Tip: make bigger collection system in end
And afk in overworld and when your afk is done don't go to end wait for about 30min to collect all the sand by Hopper
Then you can go to end ( make sure to drop a random thing or block in end portal to refresh it) then you can go.
This thing doesn't require any chunk loader.

So I built this farm in my world and at first the sand fell right in front of the 2 blocks placed on the repeater at 2:46, and so I placed 3 leaves in a line 3 blocks below the triple sticky pistons at the top. After that it works like its supposed to so this farm technically still works!

I’m just gonna comment this incase anyone is having the same problem. This might just be because I built it in realms but idk. After adding the leaves to fix the falling sand, the machine still broke sometimes, and sometimes one would work and then the second one would break and stuff like that. I found if you setup a lever with a repeater going into each respective block in place of the lever to power the machines, they both turn on at the same time and it fixes the issue.

I've actually tested it. And I'm a bit dumb.
You don't need to do anything to the repeaters. You can just mine the obsidian, but make sure to not mine under the obsidian platform because it could fly somewhere which isn't down and you wouldn't get all the obsidian
if you accidentally leave it on, then this can be a all item dupe glitch. basically you place your block down or put it in a chest or smth, enter end, get kicked for lag, then when you come back you have your inventory along with the items in chest.

Tips for 1.18.2 :
1- For sand falling, use leaves in front of slimes block near the portal, with 1 block gap
2- You can use the same chunck loader to farm obsidian in the End (Shulkercraft made an obsidian farm but I think this method works). Just make your plateform with hoppers and double chests under the obsidian plateform and use autoclick or F3 + T to straight mining.

Is the chunk loader working for you? When I go to the end some sands spawn by after like 5 seconds they stop spawning
nvm I was using a spigot server which the chunk loader doesnt work in
@@RD8_ Yes, but you have to block one side of the nether portal to make sure the block in the dropper doesn’t drop out of the range of the chunk loader
If your sands are not there, just replace them and make sure having leaves with you in case of break failure

it works in 1.17 problems u could run in to
-if the sand disappears its ur repeater timings
-if the frames aren't breaking try growing the mushrooms on the same level as everything else instead of digging down
I also ran into an issue with the chunk loader where my wall was on the wrong side of the portal. Not really a 1.17 thing I guess but I can confirm it still works.

@@Kronox637 I saw a different comment about it but basically you put leaves under where the sand falls, otherwise it falls onto the ground. I recommend finding that comment because it goes into more detail. It was the first comment for me so it shouldn’t be hard to find.

If you are building this on a server, the chunk loader is arbitrary because the chunks in the end are always loaded, meaning you can sit in the overworld as long as you need and check when your done afking, all the sand will still be there

Try going to creative and then place end portal frames again. No other option. If you want to penalize yourself for going to creative in survival world, just throw at least 32 diamonds in lava and 5 netherite in cactus. That must be helpful

I have been trying to figure this out for an hour but Ive found out how
1. Close Minecraft
2. Open files of your Minecraft world
3. Open the folder named "DIM1"
4. Delete the folder named "Entities"
that's it

Before you start AFKing, set your spawn point in the stronghold portal room. That way, when you leave the end, your thing won't keep running, and you can turn it off as soon as you're done.
If you don't want to set your spawn point, save and quit the game before leaving the end, and reload the world.
9:25 u can place any semi block if u dont have buttons... for example u can place slabs,extinguished campfire , farmland,leverpressure plates / even torches ...

I'm not gonna use this in my world but I just wanna give this Legend some views
if the sand is coming through to the end but is being placed instead of dropped as entities, try using a hopper minecart collection system under a patch of blocks with torches on them. the torches ensure the gravity blocks turn into entities and the hopper minecart picks up the entities through the blocks the torches are placed on :)

I need a lot of TNT in my survival world so this is going to be absolutely necessary
I recently found out that this duper only works properly in vanilla, in paper it doesn't work at all, it immediately throws the 3 sands through the portal and with spigot it works until you leave the chunk pretty much, what happens then is that somehow the blocks fall to the ground and two rows of slime stick together. I tested them both many times.

Big brain tip: if you get sa haste 2 beacon and efiicency 5 pickaxe you can make an obisdian farm by putting a hopper under an obsidian block from the spawning platformand then mine the obsidian while the sand farm is on, 2 in 1
