You'd think that it would be the other way around, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as the few football players who came from wealthy households, like Kaka to mention one, seem to display a much more humble character. In more modern times, Martin Odegaard is another example of someone who came from a relatively affluent background, yet seems to be one of the more humble players that comes to mind.
It makes sense Ronaldo also came from a poor background they're cocky to compensate for their feelings of inadequacy from coming from a disadvantaged background because they had to build themselves up from the bottom and people doubted them they have to work extra harder than players from more privileged backgrounds in his case he was a poor immigrant he had to fight even harder to be seen
