  • In this episode of Talking with Docs, two medical professionals, Dr. Zalzal and Dr. Weening, share their insights and research on the controversial topic of the carnivore diet. The carnivore diet is a highly restrictive diet that consists solely of animal products, excluding all plant-based foods.
Throughout the episode, Dr. Zalzal and Dr. Weening highlight the potential health risks associated with the carnivore diet. They explain that the diet may lead to nutrient deficiencies, digestive issues, and an increased risk of heart disease. They also discuss the lack of long-term studies on the carnivore diet and its potential harm to the environment and animal welfare.
The doctors provide viewers with alternative dietary approaches that are balanced, safe, and provide optimal nutrition for long-term health. They emphasize the importance of a diet that includes a variety of whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
This episode of Talking with Docs is an engaging and informative discussion on the carnivore diet. Dr. Zalzal and Dr. Weening's expertise in the field of medicine offers valuable insights and information for viewers to make informed decisions about their dietary choices and overall health.

4 year carnivore here. I came from the diet you recommend, yet I was pre diabetic, had gum disease, IBS, arthritis, dangerously high BP and more. Since eliminating grains, fruit (apart from wild berries) and veggies, and eating considerably more saturated fat, I have cured all my issues, and in the best health (backed up with blood tests) and with the best body of my life. Sorry gents, your profession is based on keeping people drugged and sick, your advice is worthless.

@@jisyang8781 My dearest relative did not overeat. He had a thyroid issue and speaking as someone of average (not fat nor thin), but with a thyroid issue myself, let me just say that most people with thyroid work out more consistently, eat sensibly than most people. Most people without thyroid issues neglect to realize it is a real thing and is often undiagnosed. People with thyroid (whether hypo or hyper) take endocrinologist ordered medication, do blood work and lab tests and frequently have to readjust levels over their lifetime. And sometimes people with hypothyroid eat virtually nothing and work out and gain just as people with hyperthyroid eat like crazy and might lose to dangerous levels. And we wish that our thyroid gland was like the average individual who could just choose fad diets and lose (or gain). After years of being both hypo and hyper (thanks to the wrong dosage of medication which is also not fun), I do not mess with any silly fad diet and just eat healthfully as my mother did and in moderation. Also FYI tragic loss (which I recently had) or even overstimulation can kick the thyroid from low to high. Contrary to what the average person may think, neither is great as you realize you are not in control of how your body responds. To just be of average weight after working out as a paid dancer and singer for years is a relief. Frankly, I believe people should listen to their doctors and their bodies and not the latest fad that runs down the pike.

@@ribeyemanster You can't with certainty but we do know from many studies that elevated cholesterol is not healthy in the long term. We also know that elevated animal based protein strongly stimulates IGF-1/leptin which is linked to cancer. We also know that animal based does not supply various plant phyto-nutrients and other anti cancer compounds. Cooking meat (which most people do) destroys the enzyme complement critical for proper digestion and creates a variety of toxic/cancer causing compounds. As well, with a lack of fiber the critical microbiome will suffer creating leaky gut which can promote autoimmune and immune dysfunction issues. Good studies need to be done between a junk food diet, raw/organic plant based and animal based to get a full picture but based on what we do know so far about large consumption of animal products I suspect this is not the way to go long term.

Getting that heart pumping faster, will help to make the heart muscle stronger and healthier. It appears these ‘doctors’ have had ZERO nutritional training whatsoever…
Telling my N=1 story to help get the message out there:
During the extreme lockdown here in the Philippines, January 2021 I was obese type 2 with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. I was suffering from metabolic syndrome. I understood the comorbidity I had as a 58 year old would greatly affect me if I contracted the Rona. I had to lose fat, reverse hypertension, reverse my NAFLD and reduce my HbA1c.
Sitting in my armchair at the beginning of lockdown I saw that the keto/ketovore/carnivore diet claimed it could ‘cure’ my ailments. I watched a bunch of videos and tried to make sense of the linked papers supporting the claims. End result was that it simply made a lot of sense to me.
8 months later, whilst still sitting in my armchair (most of the time). I had lost the 30kg/66lbs of fat that was required to get me down to a ‘normal’ BMI, I GREATLY improved my blood pressure to the point it raised my wife’s eyebrows, she’s a First Responder. My blood sugar was well back in to the ‘normal’ range and I vastly reduced inflammation.
I also reversed IBS that had controlled my life for 40 years (I lost jobs because of it), got rid of decades long debilitating heartburn, my Testosterone went up drastically and I stopped snoring … my wife is happy 🤓 I was ‘foggy’ & forgetful, possible early stage MCI, I sometimes also slurred my words and forgot what I was talking about mid sentence, this has completely reversed! Undiagnosed but recognised by my family I got out of a bad case of lockdown depression.
A few months ago I further decided to cut out most vegetables from my meat heavy Keto WOE, only adding on occasion a little onion, garlic, green peppers and tomato for some flavour… always salting to taste. Improvements are continuing with a pace with better mental health, blood markers, skin condition etc.
Simply eating nutrient dense meat, HEAVY in animal fat, eggs, seafood, salmon … single ingredient real food is all it took …
Whilst cutting out processed food, sugar/carbohydrates and seed/‘vegetable’ oils and most dairy.
We THRIVE when eating our evolved, species specific Proper Human Diet along with some intermittent fasting to mimic the way our ancestors survived.
I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of people that have similar anecdotal stories to tell … Please tell them … get the message out there!

You are correct we can get all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need from eating all meat when you include the liver and heart. When we are not running off pure carbs and sugar, our body requires far less vitamins like vitamin C! Not to mention... for carb and sugar eaters, their bodies are unable to absorb Vitamin C as well, no matter how much chomping they do on vegetables and fruit.

Hey no one said don't eat meat. Sorry if we offended you by saying eat fruits and vegetables in addition to meat. We feel we owe it to the viewers to share this as they have many anti cancer, anti aging and other health benefits that meat simply doesn't have. Again did not mean to offend and are certainly not trying to convert the world to veganism. If you can share why this community is so defensive it would really be helpful as so many of the comments have been rude, condescending and attacking in nature. We hope you have a great day. We are just trying to help people make educated choices.

Factor in how many children and mothers died during child birth or how many broke a leg or cut themselves and died. Think how many times you would have died wirhout modern medicine?
Meanwhile you dont have to wear scrubs to look at the data we have. As plant matter consumption has gone up so has the rates of diabetes, cancer and heart diease. The average American has a diet that is over 70% plant based and they are sicker than ever.
You also made the fallacy of assuming that because food was scarce our ancestors didn't eat optimally. You could as easyisly assume when food was scarce or they failed at a hunt they became foragers and ate plant matter out of necessity to survive. And given most people would naturally pick a steak over and handful of leafy veg it seems more likely to me. You said it yourself. You had to force your kids to eat veg cos they naturally dont want to. You put beef or chicken in front of a child and they will yum it up.
Finally id say this idea of "balanced" is nonsense. They is nothing inherently good about a balanced diet, I believe it was a marketing slogan. You need to eat a species appropriate diet. A cow doesnt have a balanced diet.
Over 84% of vegans quit. 90% of those cite catestrophic health failure. Meanwhile your comments section below is overflowing with peoole who have come off all meds and healed themselves on carnivore. Your balanced diet logic is "well you need to cut down on the stuff that healed you and add in a load of the stuff that makes almost everyone ill weak and sickly". Not logical
Ah so much wrong with this video im going to end up writing an essay. Understanding of calories and CICO is false its also not the reason people lose weight on keto. statements about cholesterol are wildly wrong, youre not "making too much of it".
Vitamin c statement is wrong. You require a very small amount and it is found in muscle meat. Never heard of a single genuine case of scurvy. Kelly Hogan been on carnivore 13 years l, there are people in the online community who have been on it over 40 years and no scury. It takes weeks to develop. Not a life time.
Sat fat isnt linked to heart disease.

We don't do it for the money. We have no sponsors. We are only trying to help people.
As for vitamin C there is some in muscle meat but unless you are eating it raw it typically would be broken down with the heat of cooking because it's water soluble. Organ meat is a better choice for that reason.
Regardless of how inconvenient it is, decades of scientific research that is peer reviewed and published shows saturated fat tied to heart disease and cancer.
What you eat is up to you. We are just trying to help people be healthy. No need to name call or try to shame us for that. All the best to you.

@@TalkingWithDocs I can provide as much data as you did in the video. A lot of what a state were just counter statements. That's the point. Just throwing out words like "may do" or "could cause" isn't useful either way.
But there are plenty of studies on cholesterol and sat fat now. There was another recently from RCSI. Plenty have come out of Australian academia recently if you care to research. Statins do not increase your life expectancy. Where are the wards of heart patients on carnivore diet?
The vitamin c statement is a fact, meat does contain it. It's found in meat and we don't require very much, as a carnivore diet is high in hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine. It's also demonstrable that there isn't an epidemic of scurvy amongst the carnivore community . You made the claim that the carnivore diet causes it so the burden is on you to provide evidence, which again you didn't.
The vegan stats come from the humane research council. Even so you're asking people to discount reality. I look online at vegan influencers and they almost all look Ill weak and aged and I'm not sure I've seen a vegan with healthy skin.
I look at carnivore and they almost all look younger than their age, healthy and strong.
Perhaps not scientific but if youre going to tell people to ignore all that observable evidence you need to come with some hard scientific facts, not "maybes" and "could bes".
If you want more studies on the negative effects of plant based diet dr mason can provide. There have been zero controlled studies to show the benefit of a plant based diet...in fact it's impossible to do so, both for plant and meat based.
I don't know if you two lads are nutritionists or your doctorate is in the field of nutrition but it does not sound like it. One thing in the scientific field is that it's incredibly focused and specialised . Once you wonder out of your field it is easy to make false assumptions and claims. A climatologist , for example, should not be making claims that pertain to meteorology .

Fact is, many carnivores (including myself) find themselves coming OFF supplements after being carnivore long term, because their vitamin and mineral deficiencies disappear. When I first went keto (from SAD) in 2018, my naturopath put me on 11 supplements to address my (tested) deficiencies. By the time I had been carnivore for 6 months, I was not taking ANY supplements.
Oh, I know - but if I stay on it for 20 years it'll kill me! Well, I'm 70 now, so if I live to 90, having normalized my A1c, BG, BP, lost 50 lb, cleared up my tinnitus, eliminated my lower back pain, shoulder pain, arthritic joints and ribs, reversed my asthma and chronic athletes foot, then I'll get 20 years of feeling like I was in my 20's, that'l l be a nice trade for spending the next 25 years in chronic pain (the last 10 of which would probably be in an extended care ward!) 🤣🤣🤣

You don't necessarily go daily, because you absorb more food (less waste)
Also glucose and vitC use the same receptors. Without glucose in the body, the same receptors for vitamin C won’t have to fight off glucose from the bloodstream in order to nourish the rest of the body. Once some stability is found, one should SLOWLY reintroduce certain foods at a time, after weighing the benefits of that food. Inflammatory grains like white rice (high sugars) or buckwheat (high oxalates), might never be the best to reintroduce, due to the negative effects outweighing the positive. So, why are you're saying something that's blatantly wrong? After recovering from serious drug/alcohol addiction, I regained my strength and endurance by a 90% heme diet. I eat about 6-7 lbs of red meat a week, as well as two dozen eggs a week, excellent meat from distributors that sell meat with no extras pumped into it. I do not eat meat from the supermarket that has red food coloring in it as well as growth hormones, etc. That's crap. Yeah, I pay about 15 bucks a pound for my meats. I spend a lot of money on meat. I'm almost 70, and I am now in peak shape. I work out at the gym every day working on different muscle groups. It's about a 4000 calorie a day diet. No, meat is good for me. I do appreciate your guys profession and I applaud and thank you for wanting to help people but please don't disregard the fallacy behind research and its a big enough fallacy to void research done on meat by itself.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. We did not mean to offend you by suggesting that people eat fruits and vegetables. We looked for any research behind the carnivore diet but couldn't find any other than anecdotes. If you have access to any please forward as we are keen to improve our knowledge on any topic we do a video on. There is however lots of research on the benefits of plants. Anti cancer. Anti aging. And countless other health benefits. We aren't saying don't eat meat but that if you eat only meat you will be missing out on so many good things. Get rid of sugar obviously. Get rid of white bread and refined grains. Duh. And get rid of processed foods with all of their preservatives, artificial flavours and colors, sweeteners and whatever else. No brainer. The SAD is just that. Sad. But please don't take offence at the suggestion that some plants can help you live a better and healthier life. We aren't selling anything. This isn't our job like many carnivore CZcamsrs. We don't need the money. We are simply trying to help our loyal audience make informed choices for themselves. Hope that clears it up and again our apologies if we offended you. We just don't understand why this community feels the need to degrade, belittle and launch personal attacks over their food. Seems very odd

@@TalkingWithDocs I never stated once that I was offended at your claims that plant matter is beneficial to humans. My problem comes with your claims on meat that are not scientifically backed by meaningful research done SOLY on a 100% carnivore diet, and I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. Spreading misinformation is quite dangerous and could get people hurt.
As far of what you could be "missing out on", on a strictly 100% carnivore diet, that has NO context in your video. There is no evidence or hell even any anecdotes to suggest you'll be missing out on anything; Fiber? I've never seen one study showing low fiber intake is bad, vitamin c? Muscle meat has vitamin c and competes for the same transport receptors as carbs. Vitamin C is not a problem on carnivore, vitamin k1? Your body clearly retro- converts vitamin k2 to vitamin k1, phytonutrients? If you are consuming cows that graze on grass their entire lives, the muscle meat by itself has sufficient amounts of phytonutrients, calcium? You can simply consume bone broth or even egg shells, and even then calcium isn't an issue on a 100% carnivore diet. If people can make negative claims based off of opinion, I can do the same. Please don't spread misinformation a subject that has little veracity.

Please forward as we are always looking to expand our knowledge. We were under the impression that yes muscle has vitamin C but if you are cooking it and due to its water soluble nature that much of it is degraded. Organ meat is a different story. I am a surgeon for 25 years . From my experience cholesterol is not a fact on heart problems . Half the people have cholesterol the other half don't . I would advise you to stop sugar and eliminate carbs and starch to 20% of your daily intake , And the rest 80% out of meat , fish, olive oil avocados vegetables and eat only 2 times a day .

Hi guys. I subscribed to do penitence for calling you out of something minor....well not minor for me, it made my life quality drop, but most people didn't have my problem. And here you are, making my life hard again. People are different. In one hand I have some malnutrition and in the other hand I have debilitating conditions that benefit from a carnivore diet. Not me, but people I have known. If you did a little homework you would know that one of the battle cries of the carnivores is, "Where's the scurvy?" Ten years on the diet and where's the scurvy? The real truth teller is in your blood tests. There are some people that should never go on a carnivore diet and there are some people that find it a miracle that changes their quality of life. When false information gets into the medical community, do you know how long it takes to get it out? I have read that it takes 17 years.
Ok kidney disease. A lot of people have waited too long. There "balanced" diet has damaged their kidneys so they can't go back. I have a doctor in my family, 6 years younger than me. He had to retire because he was in such bad physical shape. He tried a Keto diet and it almost killed him. It was too late for him. If he had tried it ten years earlier, who knows, could have been a happy ending. Now he just has to be miserable for the rest of his life.
No studies....so the truth is, all this is opinion? The biggest research study in history is happening right in front of you...people are networking on the internet and experimenting on themselves and documenting their results, trying to find relief from conditions that their doctors can't fix. And you call it "anecdotal information"....it isn't true until there is an official medical study and yet you give us your opinion?
Hay, I can tell, you guys are really good guys. You do what you do because you are true believers. You really want to help people. Lord knows, you aren't going to get rich making CZcams videos. You are going to be wrong about some things in life, there's no shame in it, we are all wrong about some things. The shame comes when you are so invested that you can't be converted. Without question, the truth is going to come out...even if it takes 17 years.

carnivore diet and keto are actually lifestyles not diets, diets are just changes to lifestyle and as such i agree they could fail. But if your living a certain way, and happy to do taht each day then its a way of living. Ive lost 42 kgs and off my blood pressure, and 3 other meds, simply because Ive adopted a "ketovore" lifestyle for the past 2 years and I would not go back to eating rubbish ever again. Docs Im sorry but Im not one of your best customers now. If everyone was healthy and didnt need a doctor, what would the medical practitioners do in order to feed their families and pay their Mortgage, BMW or even Porsche repayments? Exactly. Im not saying doctors want to see people stay sick. Not at all. But Doctors are in the maintaining industry, they just want to maintain you, so every month you see your doctor and he wants to ensure you have enough scripts for your meds, and maybe send you for some scans to find new things going on (not hard to find sickness with all the sugar and grains we are eating) and they will gladly write you a script for new pills and ensure you stay maintained. So when i lost weight, my doctor got worried, thought i was dying. He said what have you been doing...I replied, i listened to you, stopped the coke, stopped all sugar or food that turns into sugar when i eat it like bread etc..stopped the ice cream, stopped the high processed crabs in a box...just like you said doc! he said, "we better do a full check up to make sure you have no underlying conditions here Im really worried about you" LOLOLOL of course you are worried, about your BMW repayment. I feel 20 again. I saw a woman in the UK who had a fear of food and the only thing she could eat were potato chips, she had about 6 bags a day for at least 15 years. People...if you try carnivore or keto for 2 months, it will change your life for the better. Its not even a risk, if you dont like it after 2 months then go back to your sad diet and no harm done, if a lady can eat packet crisps for 15 years and still be alive surely you can take a 2 month break from shit food and just eat keto or carnivore for a couple months. Oh and docs while i agree on some things you said i think your simply wrong about other points, factually wrong actually. There is vitamin C in meat and organ meats, no you wont get scurvy if you dont eat fruits and veges, and just the fact that you said "dont eat processed food from a box , dont eat refined processed carbs (breads with 30 ingredients come on!, sugars etc" tells me you know whats up. What else is there if you eliminate all that crap, things that grown in the land or on the land, pure and simple. The fact that you denounce us as Apex predators shows your delusion.

I don't know what your specialities are. Are you two doctors experts in nutrition, human physiology, biochemistry/biochemical pathways and bioenergetics?
If not then I will respectfully say that you are talking about a subject that's completely out of your field of expertise. You two should do much more unbiased research before influencing others considering your online reach (it is irresponsible). You clearly have a bias as your lack of knowledge about the carnivore, the keto diet and most importantly on physiology/bioenergetics is obvious. You lost me completely the moment you said "when you eat a diet that's restrictive regardless of what it is, chances are your calories are going to go down". Do you guys understand what a calorie is? That's shockingly ignorant coming from two doctors. I'm sure you are good in your respective field of expertise but you certainly missed the mark completely with that presentation.
I am asking as I DO have a level of expertise on the matter and as such cannot agree with the core of what you are saying. I just finished another debated on another channel and don't have much time right now. I'll try and get back to this another time. Suffice to say for now that real unbiased science clearly demonstrates that the carnivore or ketogenic diet is absolutely NOT restrictive and are actually among the healthiest diets you could have. Science is not a "one size fits all" concept so people should pay attention to what works best for them. For instance I know many who do better on a bit of non-starchy vegetables (e.g. sauerkraut..good source of k2) along with their carnivore/keto lifestyle (better bowel movement for example). But also note that fibre can be a problem for a huge proportion of people with IBS/IBD. Having said that, I absolutely do NOT support vegetarianism and veganisms for scientific and health reasons as they have a strong impact on insulin resistance/pre-diabetes/type2 diabetes, inflammation, hormonal imbalance (due to low consumption of healthy animal fats), autoimmune disease, fatty liver disease (including juvenile NAFL and NASH), plant toxicity (oxalates, phytates and lectins), mitochondrial damage/cancer through glycation/production of reactive oxygen species or free radicals among other things, nutritional deficiencies (DHA/EPA (only a small percentage of ALA from plants gets converted),B12, amino acid deficiencies such as methionine, lysine, leucine among others depending on what you are eating). A meat based diet is more bio available and more complete. I also suggest you brush up on your paleopathology. That's a crude summary. I can't elaborate further for now. You cannot possibly put veganism and carnivore or keto in the same "extreme and unhealthy" category. That is pure IGNORANCE. So to you two doctors I say DO BETTER.

Carnivore is the human ancestral way of eating! Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story!
So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet!
Carnivore diet cured so much for me!
    * No more perimenopause- completely reversed!
*Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself!
    *No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
    *No more life long eczema
    *No more cold hands
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun.
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter
    *No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight.
*Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing!
*Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well.
*Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s.
*Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me.
*No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach!
*Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup!
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
*No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods
    * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller.
*feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that.
    * i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming before Carnivore. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights.
    * no more body odor!
    * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much.
*I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that.
    * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But 9 months on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!
If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻
I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

Glad you are doing well but most studies would contradict what you are asserting such as this metadata study from the National Institutes of Health: Plant-based diets like vegetarian or vegan diets might influence circulating levels of inflammatory biomarkers, thereby reducing the risk of chronic diseases. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate the associations of veganism and vegetarianism with circulating inflammatory biomarkers in comparison to omnivores. Literature search was conducted in Pubmed and EMBASE until April 2020 and mean differences of biomarkers were assessed for: C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-18 (IL-18), interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1 RA), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-ɑ), E-selectin, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), adiponectin, omentin-1 and resistin. Of initially identified 1073 publications, 21 cross-sectional studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the systematic review and meta-analysis. Vegan diet was associated with lower levels of CRP compared to omnivores [mean difference − 0.54 mg/l, 95%-CI: − 0.79 to − 0.28, p

And this also from the NIH on animal based diets and inflammation: Diet is a major factor determining gut microbiota composition and perturbances in this complex ecosystem are associated with the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Here, we used gnotobiotic approach to analyze, how interaction between diet rich in proteins and gut microbiota influences the sensitivity to intestinal inflammation in murine model of ulcerative colitis. We found that diet rich in animal protein (aHPD) exacerbates acute dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis while diet rich in plant protein (pHPD) does not. The deleterious effect of aHPD was also apparent in chronic DSS colitis and was associated with distinct changes in gut bacteria and fungi. Therefore, we induced acute DSS-colitis in germ-free mice and transferred gut microbiota from aCD or aHPD fed mice to find that this effect requires presence of microbes and aHPD at the same time. The aHPD did not change the number of regulatory T cells or Th17 cells and still worsened the colitis in immuno-deficient RAG2 knock-out mice suggesting that this effect was not dependent on adaptive immunity. The pro-inflammatory effect of aHPD was, however, abrogated when splenic macrophages were depleted with clodronate liposomes. This treatment prevented aHPD induced increase in colonic Ly-6Chigh pro-inflammatory monocytes, but the ratio of resident Ly-6C−/low macrophages was not changed. These data show that the interactions between dietary protein of animal origin and gut microbiota increase sensitivity to intestinal inflammation by promoting pro-inflammatory response of monocytes.

Also from the NIH on breast cancer and cruciferous vegetables: In summary, the current study suggests that cruciferous vegetable intake is associated with reduced breast cancer risk, in particular with broccoli and cauliflower intakes. The inverse association of cruciferous vegetable consumption with breast cancer risk seems to be more apparent in premenopausal women. Biologically, dietary ITCs obtained from cruciferous vegetables have been shown to modulate estrogen metabolism, which may, at least partly, explain the differential effect of cruciferous vegetable intake on pre- and postmenopausal women, although other mechanisms may apply. These data also indicate the successful impact of public health efforts on encouraging vegetable consumption, which may change consumption patterns and modify the results of association studies on vegetables and disease.

Based on the available research the thought behind the constipation is a diet low or lacking any fiber. Due to the lack of carbohydrates there is dependence on glycogen breakdown with which there is obligatory water reabsorption which can contribute to dehydration and constipation. There are other concerns abkur the disruption to the gut microbiome shifting from a diet that contains no carbs but high fat so the bacterial populations undergo a drastic change that can lead to altered gut motility. Seems in the comments that some have had it. Some haven't. There are no real studies to look at. Hope that helps

I have to wonder where you got your facts. Constipation is not a problem. I don't poop as much or as often on carnivore. Why? I actually absorb the nutrients in the food instead of pooping them out. I used to take a basket full of medications to fix all the problems i had. None of it worked. The carnivore diet did. The medicine went in the trashcan.

A study by Ogilvie et al. (2022) found that vegetarians, vegans, and others who eschew meat "show a lower bone mineral density," and "vegans consistently have higher risk of fracture at multiple bone sites, especially at the hip."
A study by Simeone et al. (2022) looking at infants between 4-18 months of age on a macrobiotic diet free of animal protein found a "significantly higher risk [...] of skin and muscle wasting in 30% of macrobiotic infants compared with 2% of the controls" as well as "a higher prevalence of children with inadequate growth [...] with insufficient energy and long-term nutrient intake, or classified as wasted, with severe malnutrition," observed in nearly 8% of vegetarian/vegan children compared to only 0.6% of omnivorous children.
Perhaps equally shocking, it was found that "babies in the macrobiotic diet group reached independent walking on average 3 months later" than omnivorous diet babies (Dagnelie et al. 1994).
After researching and analyzing multiple different studies, Simeone et al. (2022) quite definitively concludes:

"...the case reports are all consistent in demonstrating severe neurological outcomes and growth deficits in children on a vegan diet, due to low vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels, with anemia, stunting, brain abnormalities and demyelination. The children with vitamin B12 deficiency all had psychomotor developmental deficits or neurological symptoms, some even anemia. In one case, in addition to psychomotor regression, four bone fractures were found due to nutritional rickets. The reason was prolonged breastfeeding from a vegetarian mother followed by a vegan diet for the infant after weaning. [...] in diets without meat, fish and meat products, the most critically deficient nutrient is vitamin B12, but deficiencies in calcium, iron, iodine, zinc, and selenium, essential amino acids, ω-3 LC-PUFAs (EPA and DHA) and vitamins (riboflavin, vitamin D) may also occur. […] Finally, although vegetarian diets are often recommended as a prevention tool for overweight and obesity, […] the meta-analysis of the results found no protective effect of vegetarian diets in the early years of life."
A 2021 study found "recent epidemiological studies suggest that higher consumption of ultra-processed food is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). […] Research ranging from laboratory-based to prospective epidemiological studies and experimental evidence suggest that ultra-processed foods may affect cardiometabolic health through a myriad of mechanisms, beyond the traditionally recognized individual nutrients. Processing induces significant changes to the food matrix, for which ultra-processed foods may affect health outcomes differently than unrefined whole foods with similar nutritional composition. Notably, the highly degraded physical structure of ultra-processed foods may affect cardiometabolic health by influencing absorption kinetics, satiety, glycemic response, and the gut microbiota composition and function. Food additives and neo-formed contaminants produced during processing may also play a role in CVD risk. Key biological pathways include altered serum lipid concentrations, modified gut microbiota and host-microbiota interactions, obesity, inflammation, oxidative stress, dysglycemia, insulin resistance, and hypertension." (Juul et al., 2021)
Lending further credibility to this link are the findings of Lee et al., (2022) which state “Processed and ultra-processed foods increased from 60% of foods” between 1800 to 2019, and that “non-communicable diseases rose over the twentieth century in parallel with increased consumption of processed foods, including sugar, refined flour and rice, and vegetable oils. Saturated fats from animal sources were inversely correlated with the prevalence of NCDs.” (Lee et al., 2022) The data suggests consumption of meat promotes health, counteracts obesity, and is correlated with far fewer diseases than carb-laden, processed plant foods.
Oxalates are an organic compound commonly found in many plants, including leafy greens, vegetables, fruits, cocoa, nuts, and seeds. Though it has beneficial functions in plants (such as binding excess calcium which would otherwise hinder sunlight absorption) the effects of oxalate in humans is a very different story.
It has been found to cause:
    Autoimmune conditions
    Thyroid conditions
    Gut Inflammation
    Kidney Stones
    Chronic Pain
    Localized Irritation
    Chronic Inflammation
    Impairment of normal functions
and a whole host of other less well-known diseases.

@@TalkingWithDocs What context were these studies taken out of? In what way does that context invalidate the results? And in what way is this different to the studies taken out of context on a regular basis by the plant-based industry?
Or should we simply be trusting studies like the Food Compass, a "nutrition profiling system using expanded characteristics for assessing healthfulness of foods" a project heavily funded by Bill Gates and authored by Nutrition Advisor to the White House, Dr. Mozaffarian, which states Almond M&Ms and Ice Cream Cones with Nuts are healthier than Ground Beef or Cheddar Cheese, Canned Pineapple in Heavy Syrup and Lucky Charms are healthier than a Boiled or Poached Egg and Whole Milk, and Frosted Mini Wheats, Chocolate Covered Almonds, and Honey Nut Cheerios are healthier than Skinless Chicken Breast and Whole Eggs?
It sure would behoove medical practitioners to stop acting as though they alone are the arbiters of what is opinion and what is fact. So much damage has been done to your profession because of individuals with this exact mentality.

The Carnivore diet has become popular over the past 4-5 years, and I've read very good feedback from many people. I would try it myself, but I had my gallbladder removed about 15 years ago, so my body doesn't produce enough bile to break down the fat. The best I can do is a meat and salad diet, which has worked quite well for me. I do believe that family genetics are part of the process. ( myself and one of my sisters had the same gallbladder issues at around the same age ) I also had kidney stones from drinking too much black tea to stay warm one winter. ( the heating at work was broken for 3 weeks, so I was drinking gallons of black tea to stay warm, but this gave me big kidney stones that I had to pass naturally. Ouch! )
