*Beauty & Brutality*
@@VicerExciser007 😂😂 That's a good one. A little Slipknot pun. That's funny right there.
beautality
Beauty and the beast
@@Animasitas Brutafully
Phil Bozeman is such a talented vocalist, so clear with his lows and his clean singing is beautiful as well as he proved on The Valley
Yes but Bring Me Home was also a good one. And that's off the Mark Of The Blade album in 2016.
Phil’s singing has improved since Bring Me Home. Sounds even better hear.
His cleans just get better and better
@@markdemars7648 Bring Me Home was truly experimental, but I would say his singing since then has become MUCH better.
@@KidKat__ Ooh. An experiment for Phil? Is that so? I didn't know that was experimental for Whitechapel.
Toolchapel is here to stay and I can't wait for the future and this album
Why insult whitechapel by comparing them to tool
@@hytellus Good point
@@hytellus dir en grey pic noice
@@hytellus Lmao, I too have never been a fan of Tool. Whitechapel is Whitechapel and way better than Tool, IMO.
Damn right, both are amazing
This song makes me so happy it isn't even funny. Being a fan of Tool, deathcore, Opeth, etc I'm in love. Those cleans were FIRE
Same.
The bridge section really reminded me of tool. The guitar riff had the feel of Vicarious, and the cleans really had that Maynard tone, loved it!
Couldnt agree more. Very relatable.
Love Whitechapel leaning more into death metal, deathcore is cool and all but what direction the band is taking is super cool imo
Wouldn't it come under tech death
i really feel its prog deathcore
Very proggy, technical and melodic - really fucking love it
dude, thats what I thought too, feels like old In Flames stuff if they made it today \m/ oh boy I need that cause In Flames.. well we know what happened to In Flames :\
@@Sanilonely it has some techy sections because of the syncopation in the verses and the way rudi plays the clean parts but it’s definitely progressive deathcore if you have to have the elitist genre descriptions but even those elitists refuse to think you can have prog* elements in deathcore
That clean section sounded like it could have been written by The Contortionist, I absolutely loved it!
A Perfect Circle too
I thought the same!
@@rammonpinheiro9650 Man, I miss A Perfect Circle, soo much. What a supergroup power house. 🤘
Still waiting on the next Contortionist album. They’re one of the few bands that evolved away from raw heaviness in a way that I actually like.
@@cmillspa1 Same, them and Whitechapel.
It went from demonic deathcore to spacious prog-metal. I love this new Whitechapel!
Only Whitechapel can make a song that comes from the pit of hell and then make you float in the skies on a bed of flowers. I am so stoked for Kin. Also Nik, it is indeed Rudinger doing the drums!
Edit: I would've imagined you would've mentioned bass. At least thrown a nod as per usual, but it is what it is. Bass MvP for chill.

They haven't confirmed Rudi as a permanent member, but he's in their most recent press photo which makes your suspicion very likely correct.
@@fromdepthswerise3024 I just recall reading it somewhere, but I must've been mistaken then. Thanks, editing for clarity.
@@mavericklebo1970 different style but okay, I get your point.
Ever since I heard Phil's cleans, I keep comparing them to Maynard from Tool, very eerie and melodic in the best ways possible, and I'm so glad he utilizes them more.
Same
I think Phil’s cleans sound more like Mike Lessard from The Contortionist, especially their Clairvoyant album. Either way, Phil has proven himself again to be one hell of a singer in addition to having the voice of a demon.
This song is a god damned masterpiece
Love that pfp. My fave band
IT'S BRUTIFUL
Also, Whitechapel has gotten better with age. As much as i love the old stuff, they've really grown into something even more special.
I haven't heard this band since they were straight deathcore and known for open note chunk. I never would've guessed this was Whitechapel if someone just put it on without telling me who it was. I can't believe this is even the same band, but again it's been several years since I've listened. Wow. This was beautiful.
Nik makes me smile even in this nightmare of a world we live in
I've always enjoyed Whitechapel and fk me I really like how they're using cleans, Phil sounds way more confident in his singing now too. Structure here was cool af
if the new one is anything like The Valley it's going to be a slapper
It took everything I liked from The Valley album and added to it. I'm really looking forward to more.
It is because of Whitechapel I’m big into Other bands like slaughter to Prevail, shadow of intent, traitors etc.
Yessssss
Same, chapel pooped the deathcore cherry for me
@@punkrez872 I think you mean popped lol
Same
@@josephprince3111 yes lmaooo whoops
Phil's ability to annunciate so clearly in those harsh vocals. Truly impressive
I remember when The Valley came out and some fans were shitting on them for mixing up their sound. Personally I loved this because it was just the right amount of heavy, aggressive, and pissed off as well as super melodic and beautiful when it needed to be. Great song
This year feels like so many bands are evolving beyond what they were before and I love it
Agreed
The reason why Whitechapel is so classical is the fact that they dare to try more than death core and yet keep their original style. Absolutely legendary!
So hyped for this album!!! This year is just ridiculous for metal releases!
I can't wait to hear the acoustic track in the album.
This has probably been the best year for all things metal music. Some heavy hitting albums coming still this year
The main riff killed me! This is like a step up from every core value of The Valley! More interesting melodies, more well executed cleans, more face melting riffs
That solo was perfect. Had some technical parts fast trems a few sweeps and didn’t go on for what to long
You really should react to Before I Turn, especially their lat album "Lovelorn" ! Songs like Masquerade or Gallows are amazing ! Before I Turn is literally the unknown pearl of the metalcore world.
They truly are! I liked the last album before Lovelorn. One of my favorite metalcore bands
@@thelastdaybreathinginetern1385 Claustrophobic was awesome as well, but Lovelorn was just a masterpiece in my opinion.
@@gabmozes7858 I agree 👍
City State.
@@bvanquish777 their song Vein is amazing.
Guess it's Rudinger on the drums with this upcoming album. Killing it! 🔥
Rudi tracked all the drums, yeah!
Deathcore is awesome, but it does get kind of repetitive in an album where every song is brutal and fast. So I enjoy these little clean singing parts because it breaks up the brutality and makes you wanna listen to it more, instead of getting tired of it. Can’t wait for this new album!
I 1000% agree with you!!!
Mixing atmospheric melodic sections with the heaviness never fails to make the heavy parts hit me harder than a song which never lets you breathe.
This new style is seriously great! The combination of death metal, deathcore and blended into more Modern Prog seriously flowed so well and kept the song interesting and dynamic
I don’t even really like deathcore personally but I LOVE Whitechapel
This song is more like melodic death tho.
@@user-mq8cp6jz6d No it's a deathcore song melodeath sounds nothing like this
Clean vocals giving tool vibes
There's just something about this type of vocal that brings out a new level of heaviness in music that hasn't been around too much before. It's not just lows, it's not just "deep" and growly, you can feel the power from every word; more like a roar than a growl without losing any clarity or enunciation. Phil Bozeman and Joe from Fit for an Autopsy are on their own level with this. Incredible vocalists leading the way for modern deathcore.
How are Phil's lows so damn clean????! His vocal chords are a paradox
Love when Phil's cleans come in along with the bass!
Kind of reminds me of early WC but with the clean vocals it’s an interesting combination.
Definitely got Tool vibes during the clean section!
I LOVE this song already!!!! The second time listening to this made me love this song!!! The drums are amazing in this song
I'd give this a 4.8 out of 5. So damn good I fucking loved this so much this just made my day way better and it was already going good this just tops it off.
For a second I thought Tool started playing when the song switched lol
2:40 Nik "We in space now?" Me "I'm expecting some clean vocals from Phil."
2:42 Cleans kick in and smiles all around.
i get so many maynard james keenan vibes when phil hits his clean vocals
I REALLY recommend checking out the IRIS Official band. They're fucking rad and their new album is just 👌👌👌👌👌👌
Man Rudi just kills it on drums no matter what band he plays for or what music he plays in general.
Oh shit this Alex?!
@@gSWG3R Yes! They just announced him as an official member of the band after so many years of him filling in, playing live, and recording all the drums on the new album. He's an incredible drummer.
I am so excited for this album. I love how much this band has progressed and how they incorporate Phil’s amazing vocals.
Those lows and cleans are so clear and perfected! Yes!!
Love the Tool-inspired chill section
Nik, keep up the great work. I love your content and you have helped me discover so many bands! 😁👌
The clean part reminded me of tool so sick!!!
It reminds me of TOOL somehow, absolutely love it!
I feel like if you took every one of Nik's faces in his thumbnails, you could make a sweet gif of him sneezing in hardcore.
😂
On a side note ur pp hurts me😂
Phil's cleans are so damn beautiful
You think you've heard it all, then something like this pops out of nowhere and blows your fucking mind. The pure energy in this track is insane !
This is such great blending of clean soft sections into heavy music. Not just the same heavy verse clean chorus template over and over again
This track is frickin amazing
I actually got Shivers when the cleans kicked in... God I love phily bo
This song is very much like "when a demon defiles a witch" imo, and I love it!
I'm really happy to see everybody taking the clean vocals so nicely. As much as the old stuff slaps and how wrong/out of place clean vocals can be (looking at you Doris), it makes me so happy knowing Phil is making music from the heart. The cleans feel more like a bridge to the final section than it does something they want to jam into a chorus for the sake of having clean vocals.
This new track was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cannot wait for a new album
When I heard this it sounds like a cross between Bloodbath and Opeth. Great song!!
they need some of that born of osiris saxophone. That sax on the new album is absolutely epic.
"It was just pounding at the speed of... DEMON"
LMFAO
Being more of a fan of tech death, this song freaking rips! Whitechapel continue to evolve further into something more than deathcore, all without losing their edge. Phil's vocals are phenomenal and the guitar work is bliss. I'm also so glad you acknowledged my boi Rudy on drums. Dude absolutely kills it on everything he's apart of and I knew he would bring the heat after touring with the band.
Rudi is a beast. I hope he becomes a permanent member, he truly deserves it.
@@KidKat__ He's featured in the press photos so I think he has. But there hasn't been an announcement yet. We'll have to wait and see.
That clean section gave me tool/karnavool vibes I love this
This is masterpiece
funny story, my buddy is actually neighbors with Phil and didn't even know it. He always knew the guy was in a metal band but didn't think much of it except he knew he was gone a lot on the road until one day he was home and he asked what band he was part of and Phil told him. Kinda crazy, he had seen and spoke to him several times and never knew that's who it was.
Wow,this band come better and better :O when the clean part started, 1 sec I was think this is Tool :D
Absolutely amazing track and can’t wait for the rest of what’s to come.
It’s awesome that WC are not only a pioneering force that helped put deathcore on the map, but they’re evolving and maturing with their listeners. Phil tapping into his clean singing has to be one of the best things to happen not only to WC, but the genre as a whole.
This song was such a ride. I want more of this.
People: “this sounds so much like tool”
Me: “isn’t that pray for plagues influence in the beginning?!”
When i expecting for breakdown but guitar dude started solo
Pokachu face
That was fantastic. I am so happy for them pushing the envelope and grateful for that.
Phil’s cleans are so beautiful
I love Whitechapel, great reaction nik!
Phil can totally substitute for Maynard James Keenan with his cleans. Toolchapel FTW
Yesss best reactions!!!
Nik, you matched my emotion to this song. So damn pumped for the new LP.
It's even better than an LP, it's an entire album they're releasing.
@Kidda an LP is pretty much an album and what I meant none the less.
This sounded more like melodic death metal than anything else, but I'm not complaining
It’s just art stop putting a fucking title on everything just enjoy it for what it is doesn’t matter what genre it is ffs
@@cambrowndrums Calm brown, son, I am enjoying, getting triggered like this isn't healthy
im sorry but i dont think u know what mdm is, complete bs.
just that progressive feel... i like they are going into a new direction.... i cant call them deathcore anymore
I really liked the song. The funny thing is, i think many people got into this genre of metal because of them, but i am kind of "late to the party", because i am listening them only now, besides 2-3 songs i have listened prior, and i have been into this genre for a very long time. I think i should go back and really give a proper listen to their work, so i can appreciate more.
Got a quick question: Doesn't this with the incredible cleans sound a bit like Misery Signals? Either way, I love it!
I'm so hyped for Spiritbox and Whitechapel new material 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Mayn, 3 seconds in and you had me wheezing, "White SHApell". love your work brother.
PLEASE listen to Void of Visions 'THE LONELY PEOPLE'. Is a groovy LOUD mix.
I’m not sure if this exists but an all clean whitechapel I’m all for
This was a beautiful metal song.
I was NOT expecting Tool influences in a Whitechapel song [surprised Pikachu face]
Checkout Cold Night for Alligators new song Verism. Its super cool and definitely unique!
Never ever got into Whitechapel but I enjoyed this song
Phil has a beautiful vocals … want more clean vocals from him & like their new turn from the valley onwards…
Their new stuff is next level! I love it :D
This Opeth vibes ❤
Its like death metal tool
Fucking awesome, this new album is going to be so amazing.
really excited for this one.
Can you make a reaction to the IRIS Official band? It's very underrated
Those cleans are very tool like, what an amazing song, 5 Nicks for me!
I actually think Alex used his Meinl Mb20 Heavy Bell Ride if I'm not mistaking.
Sounded like it 100% though owo
fantastic song, my ears came blood
Kin is no joke the best album of 2021
