This exactly...I've wanted to be a fan of them but I really don't like a lot of current death core bands, they are way to cringey for me...but I love me some traditional death metal and I had the same thought as you...I was like....this is a really nice balance of good death metal with some flavors of deathcore over top. Much better than the last album imo.
Deathcore is genre where everything is sounding so similar these days. But there's a few bands like SOI and FFAA that change it up and set the bar for the rest of genre. This song is so fun.

I really like the more current deathcore guys that play around with more classical deathmetal (or melodeath) stuff and throw in symphonic elements. When done well it sounds really nice. This song and for example ''To the Hellfire'' and ''Of the Abyss'' from Lorna Shore come to mind as examples.

First I've heard of these guys. I'm old school, and not into the "core this" and "core" that. This, is really, really good; it's a cohesive song, and doesn't go off in different directions. Will definitely be checking them out; thanks, Nik. 🤘☠
