- It's finally here! 10 pieces from the Golden Sun OST, played by a virtual orchestra (a.k.a. my pc) with the most realistic sound I could.

It took forever to finish this album, but I'm so happy that it's finally published! It will be available on all straming services from October 12.
I've remastered everything, so it has overall a better sound quality (I hope) than the original videos I've been posting.

I love how Sheba's theme goes from loneliness to contentment to strength and power. I always imagined her having a sense of found family with Felix, Jenna, and Piers, and growing in confidence and purpose over her journey. I really want to see who she became in the Dark Dawn era.

5 months ago? Feels like people are finally talking about this masterpiece of a game. There won't be a fourth game, I'm not that naive, but the games already out are fantastic. The story, characters, gameplay... and the astoundingly beautiful music. Thank you for this.
Well, to be fair, I posted this 5 months ago because before I was too young to ever know how to do this xD Maybe that's why it's been resurging lately, because all of us that played it now have the skill or the equipment to do something in youtube with it hahah

Ahaha, mb ^^U Besides Garoh theme, Venus Lighthouse and Elemental Stars are my top three. And Altin mines I think is an underapreciated one, with a misterious and dangerous feel.

Whoa! That would take some time 😂 But I'm kind of trying to do that; there's this initiative to make a fanmade remake of the game, and they contacted me to try to make at least the first zones of the game playable, and I offered my music to it, so let's see what happens xD

Those gorgeous trills in Page One are magificent. I can easily imagine this in the background of the OG game, even without updated graphics. As it was, the old GBA game had truly beautiful sound, and hearing it reimaged like this is a treat.
And I was delighted to hear the lovely and sombre Forest's Requiem! I feel like the tranquil horror of Kolima was understated because of the GBA graphics, but I mean. People. Turning into trees. Trees that are dying and determined to take the population with them. It's pretty fucked up, if you think about it.
(P.S. My favourite has and always will be 'A little friendship', or Ivan's theme :D Just, you know. If you're taking suggestions.)

GOLDEN SUN is the most underrated JRPG it’s if Chrono Trugger and either FF or Fire Emblem merged together and became one game
Golden Sun OG is actually the second game I got ahold of. The Lost Age is actually the game I have the most nostalgia for, and personally, I adore the globe trotting antics in TLA as opposed to 1, but I have more nostalgia for them. It was a really fun game and the two games together are the most tragic case of underrated games to me. Especially because my childhood consisted of Half the game and I still appreciate them both dearly.
@@stinkypitz0005 I issued to play that game when I could emulate it in my phone but barely anyone talks about it as JRPG except Sea of Stars in reviews but even then it has Chrono Trigger but switch dud add the two games it’s a v underrated and in the shadow JRPG
@@boomingbob1579 i love the djinni class system as I call it and honestly think it has potential, imagine in a spiritual successor we could eventually change the elements of our "Adepts" and have access to different classes for each character (maybe themed around physical classes and magical classes for your physical and magical characters like in GS) but that's just wishful thinking. And I might like FF5 and bravely default a lot.

Plus the exploration was actually pretty cool in GS which i haven't seen much of in other JRPGs of the era. The tales games tried but i think GS pulled it off better. Honestly we were all kinda spoiled in dungeon and level design from platformers and Zeldas of the era too.

You did a great job, especially with the first theme, for it evokes a key moment whenever you ran the game. I wonder if you played the game yourself? Most of these songs have a good vibe, yet I think could add songs that constituted defining moments in the game. One of such themes is the song “Marching Forward with Determination” from the TLA. When this song plays, it is when Isaac and Felix meet each other and form the ultimate team to reach the game’s final destination. Listen to it if you haven't! Kudos!
I'm a great fan of the triology! So yes, I'm well acquainted with its OST :D
I'm reserving other key songs for other albums; it would be a shame to burn all the good themes in the first one, don't you think? ;)

@@eternalsonja Yeah! It depends on what you are looking for, tho. If you want to only write the notes, and make the program do its magic, then finale, dorico or even musescore will do. If what you want is absolute control over your sound, then you'd need some libraries and a DAW like FL Studio or Cubase.

Thanks for your words!! :D and yes, it wasn't as simple lol I tried using vsts that are kind of more realistic, but with the great drawback of having to automate a lot of things to make it mildly pleasing to listen to xD

@@ravravrav ohhh i get it hahah well, as for the hardware, I used my digital piano and midi controller with some faders. There I recorded everything in FL Studio, where then I edited each instrument to make each note more precise and with the articulation I wanted. After that, I put in some effects, like reverbs, compression, eq, etc. And finally, export each song, mush them together using audacity, and then using the resulting audio in videobolt for creating the animated video. That's kind of it, although there are a lot of other nuances and details xD

@@TrillingDragons Thanks for the detailed reply! Yes I do compose too but I am mostly a guitarist however I written parts for other instruments before. If you'd like you can check the band called Issel on the youtube - I composed most stuff we played there. Also if you go on my channel there is a "We shall sail together" cover which I rearranged recorded mixed and mastered. Also I have one more original project in the works which hopefully will be released this year :)

hahahaha nothing fancy, just a poor way of describing a cover which its main focus was to replicate in a realistic context what once was made in 16-bit. But then people started to mention my covers as the "ultra-realistic" album, so it was already too late for a change of name xD
