I am one of the few who thinks Twilight Princess is the best Zelda game.
Ethan Small it was my first zelda and will always hold a special place in my heart. it introduced me to my now favorite game series, and is my favorite game to this day.

Hearing all these incredible songs again brings tears to my eyes. Twilight Princess was the first game I ever played. When I was little, I was at my best friends house and he dad was playing it on their Wii. After we watched him play for HOURS, I asked if I could play, so he handed me the controller. I picked up that controller, and I haven't put it down since. :) It's the first game I ever played, and it's always been my favorite. I don't know if its the story, the art, the music, all of it together makes this game perfect to me. I first beat it when I was 8, and my dad helped me with the boss battle, but we did it together. It's literally the first thing I can remember and even if it probably won't happen, it's always been my dream to move to Japan and work for Nintendo. These games have all changed my life for the better, and one day I want to be able to help create one that will change other peoples lives. :)
Great and heartwarming story! I hope your dream come true.. Nintendo needs people like you! I was once in Japan and its really really great but I think working there is very hard. Buuuut to make dreams come true you must give it all :]

There is really something about playing your first zelda game. the music, the story, etc. It gives you such an amazing feeling. This game really hit me, and no other game can ever top it

How bout before these events
Technically if we’re following a Zelda timeline, the one that follows through the longest (up to BotW) is the Child Link timeline, which goes Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, then Breath of the Wild. So in a way (I guess??) Breath of the Wild is a sequel/timeline continuation.

TP is my all time favorite, it's such a melancholic and philosophical and eternal zelda game. You have the best partner in the world, with a relationship that almost becomes romantic. Imagine how lonely TP would be without midna, if it was link alone. Midna and Link together made the adventure so much more fun and cozy in a very lonely world.. you felt like you really had to win and survive, not for Hyrule but for them. But, why does no one ever mention Minish Cap? That zelda game is my 3rd favorite 😭 It has one of the best villains, namely vaati 😭

I am actually not aware of that one... though I am a pretty recent Zelda fan, having only played Botw and watched playthroughs of 4 other games, but just because of you, I'll look it up!

Minish Cap is a DS game that generally speaking was poorly received because it has some of the longest side quests out of any Zelda game however... with that said, it has genuinely some of the most charming characters I have yet to encounter in ANY Zelda game to date.
Twilight Princess is my favourite mainstream Zelda game but Minish Cap is my favourite handheld Zelda game to date in large part due to the sheer charm and engaging characters, both major and minor ones, there are in that game.
So I highly recommend playing Minish Cap if you find yourself able to do so! ^^

Me and my uncle beat
the game ALOT... I was 3 and 4 years old and I would always go to his house to play it.. he died when I was 7. The flow of time is unforgiving and cruel it seems, the best memories are those of your childhood. You must use portals even as simple as a complex game like this to be your key to your best times and use this to build yourself for the future.
Edit: 3 years gone like a flash today marks 10 years of his passing ;( still some of my best memories are right here in the storyline of this game. Thank you game for giving me something to cherish as a memory.
Edit: 6 years have gone since writing this message - unbelievable! As I look back to my childhood this was the game we played together, growing up and only after his passing, did I later get into Ocarina of Time. I’d like to think he left me that game to myself as a link to my childhood and growing up similar to the storyline. As if his presence is always there even as I grow older.

Lake Hylia was my favourite place in the game to just relax. I never actually do this in a game, but in this one, I would travel to Lake Hylia just to listen to the soothing music and look at the calm lake at different times of the day.
YES! I did that exact thing. Just sit back and chill at Lake Hylia for the day or go to the Fishing Hole and just swim around and fish and listen to the beautiful music and look at the gorgeous trees and watch the leaves gently fall around. Only game that I have ever done this in ever.

Deadass I thought I was the only one who did this lmao. Lake Hylia was my absolute favorite place to be. I always went to chill and listen to the amazing music and watch the sun set or rise from the tower. I loved it there. I still do.

A lot of people call this game dark/edgy, but honestly i find this to be the zelda game with the most heart! I like playing as a link that lives in a tight-knit community who’s main motivation is protecting his village and the families that live there

I played this as a kid not even understanding English, I kind of just absorbed the atmosphere through the music and the images. I have no idea what the story is about and I'm waiting for a switch port to launch so I can play it and understand it for the first time. It has a very valuable place in my heart

Yep, that winter was spent next to the fireplace, eating warm food and playing this game nonstop. One of my favorite memories. I really felt like I was embarking on an epic adventure and I’ll always cherish that. I’m really, really glad that this was my first Zelda game.

Best classic-zelda-formula game
No other zelda game quite matches the formula of Twilight princess, it was so well crafted everything meshed together perfectly. the art style , the music, the dark themes can't be found in any other zelda game with the exception of oot. which is why they are my two favourite. It's a shame they took a different route when it came to these areas in botw. I hope to see botw 2 bring these back. and from the trailer it does certainly look like it will.

Courage, it will pass (or maybe it has already?). You have the right to be happy so please be happy. You may have or haven't done things you regret now, or maybe everything around you seems a mess, I don't know of course, but you are here now and I think what counts is what you choose now. There is alway good around us, and I believe the saddest and the worst people as well have to enjoy life. Sometime the worst situations that seem impossible to cross only need time to reveal they were in fact lessons or challenge that give us more strength or more compassion for the others :)
It doesn't make sens to get "sad" for things that Were in the past, or things you can't do nothing about. We have to accept that, to accept us (we don't know why we are how we are, why our life is the way it is.) It doesn't depend on us). what we can do is only trying to give our best right now. If being sad doesn't allow you to do things that can make this world and your life better, it is just madness to maintain such a state of mind. So go on! Your life is waiting for you to live it fully now you may have understood some lessons or get a bit stronger through difficult moments.

I played this game when I was 12, it was an escape in turbulent times. Now I am 24, life is great but I still get a sad feeling in my gut when I hear this music - nostalgia is a funny thing.
Crazy how nostalgia can make us wish for times past even when our current lives are brighter. Some music/games remind me of my times in middle/high school fondly, even though life now (about to graduate college) is better in most ways. Nostalgia is a very strange emotion, but I love experiencing it and reigniting memories I thought were long gone. It's the best thing to hear a noise, or smell a smell - and boom, all the sudden you are teleported 5, 10, or 15 years into your past.

@@the_21_blurry_faced_heathe16 I’m 2 years late but after TP, the next Zelda game I played through was actually A Link Between Worlds, quite a few years later. Then I played Ocarina of Time, then Majora’s Mask (both on the 3DS but the original versions are cool too). Then Breath of the Wild. I still need to finish a few others that I have started playing, but I think those first 5 are a really good order in which to play the series, especially with MM and BotW coming later since they deviate a lot from the standard Zelda formula. A Link Between Worlds could also probably be substituted for A Link to the Past if you prefer the old-school flavor of that game.

I would get pissed off when the combat music would interrupt the more beautiful songs, especially at Midna's Lament.
It wasnt even possible for me to ignore the music or even not notice it, I would often just pause it and let the music play on.

I think Twilight Princess has some of the most relaxing music. Snow Peak is one of my favorites - I could fall asleep in like 2 minutes listening to that before bed.
After suffering a concussion from a year ago, my whole life has changed. This is really comforting to listen to and makes me forget about all the bad things that happened this year. Twilight Princess is a good game. I can't describe how it makes me feel exactly but it will always make me feel content. I enjoy this playlist very much. Edit: still enjoying this playlist. Listening to help me forget about my problems and go finish my homework.

23:13 ah memories, when I heard this all I could remember was the shopkeepers cat that I use to chase around the village, that one monkey that enjoyed stealing cradles from people.. The Village of Odin had so many things that I loved to do, and the music and beautiful graphics made it even better. Each part of the world had a different sound track and that make the game so wonderful. I remember as a little kid I like running around for hours trying to smash pumpkins and get gems but I always got so scared when the guy on top of that rock that always loved taking naps yelled at me. Zelda was the first real video game that I ever played and I have loved growing up playing it. Listening to all the different song brought so many different memories and I’m not mad at it, I loved all the cool things that were in the game and all the crazy adventures I went on. This game is so beautiful and so many people are missing out, It’s so underrated..

Twilight Princess will always have a very special place in my heart-especially around Christmas. It's my favorite Zelda game. I remember eagerly waiting for Santa to deliver a Wii with this game when I was little. It was so magical seeing the commercials and learning of the little tid-bits of the game in magazines before I learned how to use the internet.
The game is amazing, seriously so underrated the graphics the creativity just all of it is so fucking amazing and entire word with exact detail, makes you forgot about the real world. Much Love, my childhood.

This is, without a doubt, the best zelda game ever made. i dont care BoTW is open world, open world doesnt always mean better. Newer doesnt always mean better. The love and passion the creators put into this game (especilly in regards to and with ties to OoT and MM) its no doubt this is the best zelda game ever.

Wow. This brings me way back, a decade ago. I open my present which turns out to be a Wii and a copy of Twilight Princess. I spend the whole morning playing while my aunt watches. Then for the next few months I play the hell out of this game. Good times. Twilight Princess is great.
This game is a work of art and the pinnacle of the entire Zelda series. I love it more than Ocarina, Majora, and Botw and I don't see that changing ever
Considering this was the first fully orchestrated Legend of Zelda game, this soundtrack is incredible; there's so much emotion laced into every piece. Midna's Lament made me cry when I first played the game.

When we firs bought the game my mom didn't like it ,do she was about to return it to Gamestop but couldn't.So she decided to play the game afterwards she liked it a lot and so did I.Each time she played the game I would fall asleep and dream that I was in Hyrule.It was the best dream ever.After my mom finished it, I decided to play it as well.But then our wii didn't work anymore so I was sad.2 Years later my dad got me a new wii u so I could play zelda there and that's when I finally finished it.So much happy memories i would never forget!!!!!!BEST GAME EVER

I remember that when I was à kid I used to love this game I love how link look on this game I love everything in it ❤️😄
It was the year 2007 and I remember, after a long day at a piano recital, coming home to my dad playing TP on the Wii in the living room. My brothers and I immediately plopped in front of the tv to watch him play. We all took turns fighting mini-bosses and enemies, and sometimes two people would try to control Link (one control moving and the other control attacking). The room was filled with laughter and warmth. Those were simpler times.

@Isaac Schmitt I'm not going to speak for others, but for me it's simply that the novelty of it ended years ago. Instead of seeming futuristic and engaging, it just comes off as a hassle and an annoyance. That said, there's been some games that were so clever with their use of motion controls that they've stood the test of time; but the ones where they were tacked on as an after-thought just for the "wow" factor aren't included for me.
I am a HUGE Legend of Zelda fan and I have to say that I always come back to this game to hear the music. The soundtrack to this game is like no other. It's absolutely fantastic and congratulations to the creators for producing the BEST and most fitting music for the style and theme of the game. Easily one of the best game soundtracks in existence in my own personal opinion! 👌

This game brought me and my family happiness. I Remember sitting down with my dad, shaking at the enemy goblins and fishing together trying to beat the game. Here I am now, glad that this game is apart of my childhood, and feeling nostalgia towards this game because of the music. I still play this game with my dad 9 years later, and have beat it 4 times, each time trying something new. I've introduced my friends and family to this game. Thank you Zelda for the experience.

Stuck in bed and i cant stop happy crying, Twilight Princess was one of the three Zelda games my parents grew me up with, wind waker and ocarina being the other two. My dad told me I beat TP when i was younger but had no recollection and i only had fleeting memories of the game so it was always enigmatic to me. I finally played it when i was 20 and to call it an adventure would be an understatement.
Nostalgia is one weird feeling but i am not mad at it, not one bit. Thank you Legend of if Zelda, for being such an integral part of my life and who i am. May the Triforce guide us all to our happiest lives 💜

It’s funny how vividly you can remember things just from hearing music… sitting on the floor of my parents bedroom watching my dad play this for the first time. As a kid you want nothing more than to grow up but I can say that I wish I could go back to being a kid, no worries except finishing dinner as fast as possible so you can watch your dad, or brother play video games, I miss it

My brother and I would always play this game. He never had any brothers growing up, so I stepped up to be 'that sister' that would play video games with him. Now we're grown up, and he's in the marines, and I don't know when I'll see him next. I just sent him a letter with a drawing of Link and Midna leaning on each other's shoulder, with the caption:

This game and MM always get labeled as the “dark” Zelda games, but it’s often overlooked how perfectly that darkness contrasts with the rest of the game.
As moody, creepy, bizarre, stressful, terrifying, depressing, and heartbreaking as they can be, they are equally (if not more) beautiful, humorous, relaxing, serene, meditative, uplifting, healing, and inspiring.
The stories, characters, environments, art design, and especially the music do an incredible job of making that work. They are effective at transporting you to a foreboding and seemingly hopeless atmosphere, but they can also help you during a depressive episode to remember the value of the struggle of life. So many of the characters are stuck in despair, fear, confusion and shadow, but you return things back to normal, and they heal, they come closer together, things become brighter and warmer....literally, sometimes. And it is a reminder that you, too, can come out of that shadow, it takes some heroic effort, but it can be done and it is so worth it. Yes, these games can be dark, but it feels so good once you feel the light wash over you again. If you’re ever going through something, you will get through it and you will heal.
