We got our 69 after over a year wait and the mini tubs are in crooked, the roof does not meet the window pillars right and the body will not not sit right on our body jig.
these body's are junk ! very poor craftsmanship. i know first hand. I bought one of these and spent well over 100 hours fixing the things they did wrong. had to completely remove the firewall and cowl due to poor fitment. quarters were screwed to the rockers and not welded. windshield opening had to be completely re worked. i would not recommend buying one of these bodies.
Got their full floor pan with mini tub and my floor was twisted and had horrible cuts. Spending time fixing those cuts and needing a frame shop to fix the twist. Smh
@@mishaladara if i would have known how crappy their craftsmanship was i would have done it all myself. By the way i did fix all of the issues they had my self. so don't start making comments about a something you know nothing about.
@@CT-qg3gw I Got a complete body from them and it was so so bad i spent over 200 hours fixing everything they screwed up. The had screws where spot welds should have been and about half of the spot welds as the factory did. truck didn't fit doors didn't fit front and back glass didn't fit. looks like they had a bunch of kids putting it together unsupervised and they all had ADD
@@jcook69camaro the floors were cut so bad on my tubbed version, I ended up having to have custom tubs built as the DSE they sold and another set, didn’t work. FML
I don’t work for Real Deal they were just kind enough to give us a tour and interview when we were purchasing doors for the 55 Chevy project. Don’t think they do Chevelle and as of this date we haven’t restored a 66 Chevelle. But that would be a cool project.
I'm really impressed at how much they've effort put into making the jigs for building the bodies.
The real deal steel really have their act together the way they put these cars together it's amazing
They are awesome!
I just spent an hour, and toured this shop, they are are real deal.. Cannot wait to start my project their parts. 69 Camaro
They are great! Good luck on your project!
I hope to do a 67/68 Camaro from them one day.
Everyone is trying to get piece of the muscle action!
Yes they are! 👍

I am sorry to hear that! That is awful!!!
Very cool!!!
Are you hiring? I would love a job like that since steel fabrication is what I do and old Classic cars is my passion.
I don’t work for RDS they were just kind enough to give me a tour of the shop and talk about all the awesome cars they build. Give them a call

If you know so much you should have just probably built your own Camaro out of fiberglass or sheet metal

No not yet sorry
@@cvclassics thanks for prompt reply.
These new bodies dont have VIN do they?
No, no VIN. If you check out my previous video Joe talks about the different ways you can register these bodies. They also have it on their web site.
They just can not get away from the chinese sheet metal. At least they admit it, I guess.
Taiwan actually. Dynacorn.
The steel is superior to the original.
