  • Just received my Cajun Gun Works Shadow 2 from the guys at CGW and wow... Just wow...
Incredible work - yes, they take an already excellent pistol and as they say:
"A professionally built Cajun Shadow 2 built to maximize your Shadow 2 to the upper limit of performance. We’ve taken an already great platform and elevated it to “elite” status capable of taking you all the way to the top of your game.
Based on a blue Shadow 2 and enhanced with CGW’s proven line of EDM cut parts, music wire springs, S-7 tool steel firing pin, and ultra-accurate precision match grade barrel bushing. A stellar package for those that demand the best in a CZ."

I faced a frustrating experience with Cajun Gun Works' $285 upgrade kit. David directly stated that if I couldn't skillfully use a Dremel to remove approximately .0035" from the 1489-T6 disconnector, I shouldn't be working on my Shadow 2. This directness was unwelcomed. In contrast, Eemann Tech’s $80 Ultimate Disconnector provided a hassle-free, drop-in installation and stellar customer service, a refreshing experience from the earlier disappointment.

Cajuns disconnector is only like 40 right. And to remove that little you don't even need a dreamed. You need a file or sandpaper.

Taking .0035 off with a Dremel is crazy you could definitely take off more if you're not careful. Sandpaper will do just fine

I’m thinking about switching over to a cz shadow 2 Cajunized for carry optics. I run a staccato p with an sro for idpa and a canik rival fully kitted out trigger and brass weight kit for USPSA carry optics. So we will see how it is switching over from these two platforms.

Really curious how this compares to the "Accushadow 2".

@@exxonv1719 I recently purchased a Accushadow 2, I later found out about Cajun Gunworks, and Henning. (I guess I have buyer's remorse? I also found out lokgrips sells custom mag release, and customized grips, cool!)
From what I've researched, it seems a common theme that CZ Customs is not as friendly to their customers under the motto "use of a good gunsmith highly suggested", as if to say, don't try this at home.
When I bought my 1st gen Scorpion, I was very dissatisfied with the trigger, it was mushy, and the travel was ridiculous for follow up shots. Some suggested polishing parts inside the trigger mechanism, some suggested cheap drop in replacements, and lastly.. the CZ Custom trigger was supposed to be the "end-all, be-all".
I bought their Dis-connector Upgrade (less likely to brake), AR-style to push button safety (really like this thing), a black flat THETA trigger, and a $222 trigger upgrade kit.
Took to my local gunsmith, a guy who works on guns all day, and he told me after 3 months that he couldn't do it because he didn't realize he'd have to shave off something like 0.04" of metal off. He didn't want to be held liable if the gun went off on it's own. (Not sure why he waited 3 months to tell me that.. ?)
I went to Tornado Technologies (on a referral), a company well known for machining gun parts. After some go between between tornado and cz custom.
Adam Motter from CZ Custom wrote something like 9 sentences regarding the specifics for installing the trigger. Needless to say, I thought at $222 for a single trigger, it would have been a drop in replacement.. I ended up paying around $150 for tornado to machine it properly for use.
The results on the CZ Scorpion was a fantastic safety, a trigger that works real well, and some feed issues. I haven't tried experimenting with different grains of bullets. Most of the time I use 115 and 147 Syntech Purple ammo, which faithfully replicates P9HST2 (147gr JHP), and plinking federal 115 grain FMJ. If I fire too fast, sometimes spent cases don't eject fast enough for the next shot.
Anyway, that's my story. Too bad Cajun Gunworks doesn't offer anything for CZ Scorpion buyers! I also own a FN Five-seveN, which shoots 5.7 mm bullets amazingly well out of the gate, even if the gun does look unwieldy.

I'm sorry to hear your Scorpion woes! Mine had a welded trigger group and was a challenge to setup, but runs well now (czcams.com/video/Nbc_FHz3uIU/video.html).

BTW, I've heard CZ Custom isn't as friendly, but don't know much more as I've never dealt with them like you have, but wow... Cajun folks are awesome!!! Can't say enough positive things about hem. Humble, skillful, good men. I too wish they worked on Scorpions.

So you did no other trigger upgrades after getting it?. Because on there website it says the SA trigger pull is around 2.75 to 3.00. And your over here getting 1.20?

ExxonV but you did no other trigger adjustments after you bought it? Because cgw advertises 2.75 SA Pull and you got 1.2 1.1

@@exxonv1719 147 grain Montana Gold over 3.4 grains of Titegroup and CCI primers....makes power factor at 133-137. This coming winter, I'll be changing over to Sport Pistol. Titegroup is extremely dirty and a bit more temp sensitive than I like.
