My ex bought the original bolt a few years ago. Although I like it, don't expect it to start a car with a dead battery. I tried to use it to start my daughter's Dodge Journey and no go, I had to hook my mini SUV up to her Journey to get it started. The same thing happened with a schumacher jump starter, both have electronics that won't let you start a car if the battery is below a certain percentage. I'm looking at a Povasee Jump Starter, 3000A Battery Jump Starter on amz that started an old Winnebago on amz over the halo bolt air, it's less and has more power.

I bought two of the first ones they came out with and they wouldn't jump a car. I hope these are better with stronger units inside, also instead of reading just 12.6v any battery will take at least a good 13v to jump start.

Between us we have 2 of these devices and we’ve jumped cars at least half a dozen times with no issues. Thanks for the comment.

I have one and it seems to work well, however this video intentionally shows 1 semi major flaw- lack of an organizer case that many competitors offer. Did you see him pull out of the bag a bunch of tangled thingies? I ended up buying some generic brand case off of Amazon for $20- plan on spending that or messing w the mess. Also. Propietary charger vs USB-c like it should be.

Can it CHARGE a riding lawn mower battery?

How do I use the portable power inverter that came with it ?

You must have a newer model. Ours does not come with that accessory. Here is a video from the QVC site: www.qvc.com/HALO-Bolt-Air%2B-Car-Jump-Starter-%26-Air-Compressor-w-AC-Outlet.product.E236768.html

I turned it off when you started the music. You don't do review with loud music.

This was a much earlier video. I think I’ve gotten a lot better at editing since then. I hope you’ll give our channel another chance. Anyway, thanks for watching. 😃

@@badbloodoutdoors1874 What I wanted to see was the performance on the airing up of a tire but when the music starts I stop. Nothing personal against you, that's just me. The Halo I have has the 110v outlet, the air + bolt would probably be a better choice. Have a great week and stay safe.

i also received one for xmas. but you can not call this a review as you did not show how any of it worked. you showed hooking things to it but did not show a tire being inflated, did not actually show the car being jumped started. the phone being charged, most cars have that so I do not think it is that useful unless your car battery is dead!

    • @badbloodoutdoors1874

First of all, this device isn’t just for use in a car. If you need to charge a mobile device somewhere where with no access to electricity (ie camping, long hunting trips, etc). Secondly, we are not QVC and did not happen to have a car with a dead battery and a flat tire on hand 😆. I’m sorry if We did not show enough detail, but thanks for watching anyway. We always appreciate comments!

@@badbloodoutdoors1874 I understand that it has other uses. but the major ones are car related. yes you can do other things with it but there are other items that can charge phones and things of that type that are smaller and a heck of a lot lighter. beaches for blowing up floats and things like that or camping blowing up inflatable beds possibly powering a radio and there is the light. also you played music when it was inflating the tire. it would be nice to know if it was noisy, how long it took to inflate a tire. when you connected it to the tire we see you set the tire pressure but does it show what it is before you start? no I do not want you to kill your battery or flatten your tire but you could have dropped it by a few lbs and show it inflating the tire back to what it was to give an idea of the time it would take. but either way thanks for the time you took to review. ps both of us that got this got it for xmas and now i know what she paid!!! lol

@@jerryloo416 well had not given this anymore thought since I last posted here then I see I am called a troll haha. funny how an honest comment is called trolling. since the last post I have tried to use this with no luck. I will not say my use of it for jumping my older car was a good test as the mv sat since the day before thanksgiving only being turned on once in early December. I had to take the car to get an inspection sticker so I tried to jump the car with no luck at all. this is not saying that it was the fault of the unit as the battery was 6 years old. called AAA and the driver comes with one of the huge jump packs and hooks it up and the car started after the 2nd try. battery though would not hold a charge so had the battery replaced by AAA. while taking the old battery out the protective cover would not come off. after the driver actually having to pry the cover off he showed me that the battery had frozen? and one end had bulged out enough to lock the battery against the sides of the covering.

The Halo is smarter than that, it won’t do anything if it’s connected wrong and gives you a red warning light.
