  • Digitalization the automotive aftermarket is key to the future of mobility. I used to think that aftermarket in automotive was guys customizing their cars.
    According to McKinsey they expect new digital players to gain a significant share of revenues and profits of the automotive aftermarket by 2030. Which is why it's important for the incumbents like ZF Group to have a progressive position.
    Don Dahlmann and I were sponsored to attend “Digital ZF Aftermarket at Automechanika 2021” www.zfaftermarketlive.com we learned about the companies direction and how they are working with workshops to move into a digital and electrified future.

    software being unlocked after purchasing isn't a sustainable business model. Once other companies catch up they will just offer this software for free.
    I would really like to see a 'rapsberry pi' style car that is completely unlocked so people can experiment with the software easily and see what they can do
