Completely frustrating video. Just a hint. If you advertise a video about stopping your border collie from pulling on a walk, actually explain and demo how to do it. If you are really interested in getting to have your border collie not pull on a walk, you will learn nothing about that from this video. Don't waste your time. Sorry.

my exact thought. People need to learn by seeing as anyone can sit there telling you what to do and also makes sense to them and not possibly the trainer. I love this guy and i follow their page as i have just got a border collie pup and i want to do things right as he knows what he is doing but I agree the video needs better editing

In our current culture any sort of discipline is seen as abuse (both for pets and children). Thank you for touching on the fact that training and disciplining a dog is not negative, it results in the long run a much better relationship. Well trained dogs truly are a joy, and they know that you are happy with them so they are happy and have a great life too.

Sorry, I have no suggestions but just wanted to say it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who has not found success with the change-direction technique. All these youtubers make out that ANY dog can be trained to stop pulling in 10 mins of using the change-direction method. Well, I've tried with my collie hundreds of time and it's barely made any difference. She often pulls to the point of choking on the slip lead, especially when a car is passing!

We’re doing obedience training (puppy class), some skills he’s doing great (sit, stay) but as soon something moving fast appears…bye. I knew it would be challenging, but to be honest, I’m really really exhausted…which he can feel, so it’s a vicious cycle. Ideas????

I had the same thing with the crate, as a puppy he hated it. I reintroduced it correctly at 9 months old verses 2 months and he loves it now

About the harnesses... Why don't you say it as it is? We are coming into a "vibe" where corrections are NOT DONE. Beating up, smacking, kicking, hurting the dog etcetera are NOT CORRECT corrections... But what you are actually saying: the "vibe" of "never correct your dog" is wrong... Let's just face it that that inspiration is just wrong... Corrections are okay, as long as they are into persception and animal-friendly

How to stop 2 border collies from pulling on a walk? Answer: Border collies have absolutely no need to be on a leash, (1) because they're the best off leash dogs on the planet when trained correctly and (2) they positively NEED an off leash walk for proper physical and mental stimulation. They're so easy to train that a young child could do it. When I see one on a leash it frustrates the hell out of me.

100% agree with you! My border collie Max enjoys his daily beach off-leash walks. I laugh when I see all the other leash reactive dogs pulling their owners along behind them while Max sticks like glue by my side until we pass them and then is free to run in and out of the waves again. Best breed ever!
