    Good video thanks!!! but I think that run is the same as the set if you use 1.414

  • @larry7705
    @larry7705 Před 8 lety +4

    Sir, for rechecking of the results on your computation, divide your travel with 1.414 and if you have the correct run and A. I don't understand your calculation because for a 45 deg., wherever you roll or offset it, it will be the same as a normal vertical or horizontal run or travel. Try to analyze it... you just put it sideway, the run and travel should coincide. 20.52(run) x 1.414 = 29.015 and 26.8(TRAVEL) divided by 1.414=18.95. Either dimension you will use, the run or A, both should be equal. Even you will throw your pipe in the air and drop whatever it's position will be, the run and A should be the same, the roll dimension(coordinates of your line) and SET(elevation) may vary.... And being a 45 deg., your A and RUN should be equal, if not equal, then it is not on a 45 deg. anymore. Have you tried your theory in actual? Rolling or offsetting is only the position, the angle and the dimension should remain the same, Try rolling a simple 45 deg. right triangle (the one we use in drafting our drawing on paper, the plastic one, I'm sure you have one), place one side flat (one with 2 sides equal, not the travel) on the table and swing from side to side as you like, check if the before 2 equal sides differ after rolling. Only the coordinates and elevation changes or we call as ORIENTATION only changes. And where did you get your 1.08?

    I've done a lot of rolling offsets and the reason you can use 1.414 is because you intend to use a 45degree FITTING. The rise and run don't have to be the same.

    • @edwinvillanueva209

      this is very very wrong, when they draw an isometric drwg it is always required that the orientation is correct, second the detail dimension shown is incomplete, this what u said, the run is missing, i will explain to u, in 45 degre rolling offset set and run is always equal, now the height is 18, so the answer for the travel in the rolling offset triangle should be 18 to get that answer, set is 6, and run is 17.

    In any right triangle with back to back 45 degree bends; both the set and the run MUST be the exact SAME length.
    In the book: Tube Bending Simplified, on pages 44 and 45 trigonometry is explained in easy, crystal clear fashion for a right triangle with any degree bends at the 2 corners in any triangle which contains 1 each 90 degree corner.

      No sir. i think it's the way he drew his rectangle, he made it a square so the angle looks like a 45°. But to find travel for a 45° you can multiply either rise or run with 1.414, they're the same length at 45°.

      sir mali po yan lahat unang una dapat pag gagawa ka ng iso drawung tama ang orientation nya, tapos may horizontal triangle shadow sya para sa rolling offset at vertical shadow para sa upper and bottom line connection, para madali po maintindihan ang 45 degree rolling offset ay lageng equal and set t at run, multiply lng nyo yong isa sa kanila 1.414, dahil pag ndi sila nag equal ndi sila magpapanma, padala ndi give ng run, na sana duon makikita na yong normal takbo, dapat may dimension, ngayon pinakita lng na nag iba sya ng direction yon 6, yong run na ndi nya nilagyan ng dimesion, yon po ay 17 gamitin nyon phytagorian theorym yan ang answer nyan is 18, pero ang pinaka importante yong travel duon vertical triangle na ang answer ay 25.4
