  • Nvidia GTX 1650 or GTX 1660 Ti graphics, which should you get in your laptop? In this comparison I’ve benchmarked 15 different games to show you the differences in performance between 1650 and 1660 Ti to help you decide which to buy in your next laptop.
    In addition to gaming benchmarks, we’ll also look at temperature, battery life, and power draw differences, as well as Adobe Premiere video exporting times with each GPU.
    Thanks to Metabox in Australia for providing these laptops for the comparison, you can find Australian pricing for both machines here: www.metabox.com.au/store/Alph...

       Jarrod'sTech @ 7:43 in that graph it says percentage difference as a scale. Since it's a percentage difference what is the standard performance measurement (100%) here. Is GTX 1660 TI performance considered as 100% or is there a standard target FPS which is considered as 100% in every game?

    • @adityasalunkhe8156
      @adityasalunkhe8156 Před 4 lety

      I am asking this because in most reviews I saw claimed 1660 TI to be at least +70% more performance than 1650.

      @thelightsilent Před 4 lety +2

      ofcourse its always worth paying more for a better GPU as long as you have a intel cpu... heard AMD is having driver issues with their laptops. the only issue is are you able to spend 150 more for that better gpu or is the 1650 good enough.

      I'm thinking of buying an affordable and powerful laptop. I will use it for office work, video editing and some games. My choice is: ASUS TUF Gaming FX705DU R7-3750H / 32GB / 512 120Hz or Lenovo Legion Y540-17 i7-9750H / 16GB / 256 GTX1650. Which do you think will be better for me?

    • @JarrodsTech
      @JarrodsTech  Před 4 lety +2

      @@jarking1 Depends on price difference, but I'd go the Y540, the i7 is about 20% faster than the 3750H in games, more than 40% in various apps, plus quicksync with Adobe premiere will slaughter. I have a video comparison between these two coming soon.

This is my first Metabox and im glad I got the 1660ti. I play a lot of GTA V Online and was surprised that stock out of the box I get a average of about 55 FPS on highest setting @ 1080p. This was a replacement to my ROG G750jx and safe to say I can see myself using this laptop for quite some time .

    • @b-rant
      @b-rant Před 5 lety +1

      @Patrick Burwash It's very chassis related and you really just have to look around. Bob of all trades and Own or Disown are 2 other very good laptop reviewers. And after a little more digging myself, it appears that the 1660ti vs 1060 laptop may not be as big a gap as originally stated. Closer to 20% best case and as little as 5% in some cases (conclusion based on about 4 different videos and 20 min of reading online.) If you can grab a 1060 laptop for a decent price it really wont let you down, mainly due to laptop cpu's still being a large part of the bottleneck (that and dual channel ram give you a HUGE boost). As it stands, all turing products are simply too expensive for the gains over last gen vs the extra cost. Pascal ftw.

    The video which I really needed. Thanks. This year I think that if you are buying a gaming laptop the sweet spot GPU is the 1660 ti. Yeah the 1650 is also a good one too. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as the price difference is quite low on some laptops. If spend like an extra 100$ you can get a better cpu and gpu. Next please make a benchmark video on the i7 9750h and ryzen 3750h.

      Yep got a fx 505 ryzen 7 1660ti. Tested n benched with 1903. Sure ryzen has some nice features...but for our needs. Zen+falls short. Zen2 i have some hopes for in a year or so when they are adapted to mobile options...exchanged it for an msi gl63 9750h 1tb nvme 120hz 1660ti for 1099. Will probably sell it down the road to fund the ryzen 9 gaming on 2k desktop cyberpunk 2077 build around its release. Until then im glad i went this path. The steelseries keyboard is easily the best ive used on a laptop. Individually backlit too. Best in class imo

Or if youre a student thatvppans on using laptop for class and gaming. Ryzen is still around a year off from dominating the laptop market with zen2. @JarrodsTech  Před 5 lety

      I rarely think it's worth jumping up one generation for a laptop, pretty expensive move. Depends if you are limited by what you currently have and need more though. The 2060 is a little behind the 1070, so still a nice step up from the 1060, though the 8750H would significantly beat the 7700HQ, given even the i5-8300H does that by around 10%, so if you do need more CPU power for stuff like video editing then could be worth it in that instance.
