Carl is taking us through our history and sharing the experiences that him and many others suffered for the freedom and democracy that we are enjoying today. We need more engaging sessions like this where our history is broken down to the T. Carl is a walking encyclopedia. I really hope that he is going to take it a step p further by publishing a history book from his experience and perspective. This is rich history that he is sharing.

It would be interesting to see if the people in the Soweto Crisis committee bother to respond to his allegations. Somehow I doubt they will even respond. They never do and it always comes back to bite us. Indeed the destruction of My ANC is intentional and our elders are showing us this with their silence. Its almost like they couldn't be bothered that the ANC is getting killed and destroyed. Their actions speak volumes.

Yesterday my mother was telling us about how life was during apartheid. She was 20 in 1976. So she lived through it. She said people who think things were better during apartheid do mot know how apartheid was. Having to carry a permit to go to and from work and then to visit your family in other town. When she was a sister nurse, she reported to a white assistant nurse who earned more than her. If you forgot your permit you were arrested and get bitten if you are unlucky. They stuffed the train with too many people on the black section. There was no such as fully booked. One would stand for hours travelling to natal. Black people lived in fear.

Eish it saddens me that the apartheid story is not properly narrated in the main stream. To top it all of there is no university that I know of that has a section that deals with the in depth study of apartheid. Keep on the work
