  • Moya is a dignified platform for African healers and scholars to unpack the natural sciences and history.
In this episode we sit down with the president of United Global Kingdoms of Africa, Lavell Walton.
We draw parallels between Africans on the motherland and in the diaspora.
We unpack the responsibility of the diaspora.

African Americans need to be careful of coming back to Africa with a saviour complex. We don't need saving by them. And the skills he says they have offer (doctors, dentists and etc) are skills many people are qualified for here.
The idea shouldn't be coming here to save us, but rather them coming here to save themselves. Then going back to the Americas with the remembrance of who they are and ancestral healing, thus more empowered and rooted in who they are, so they can make Africa great from THERE.
By the time Africans decide to take back their power and get back the land and the West decides to sanction us. The diaspora should be like "we've got your back!!" Just like how the European settlers get help from their international relatives.
