    35.6 MPG. Shows a responsible driver in ECO mode. I got as high as 39.5 in mixed driving.. I bet ppl were mad I was doing 68 mph. Yes, in the right or middle lane when passing.
    Great video as you took the time to show WHERE the plug was so I know which side to Jack up.

    What happens if you reset all items tho? And how much do you save by doing oil change by yourself bro? Coz I have the save car too and every time I'm spending $75-$85 in Valvoline oil change place.

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  Před 3 lety

      If you reset all the items, it will assume you've "completed" all those items. So if the code was "A13" (A=oil change, 1=tire rotation, 3=transmission fluid change) and you reset all items, it will assume you've done those three things.
      I watch for Mobile 1 oil to go on sale at Costco and pick up a filter, totaling around $35-40. So depending where you go for an oil change, you may be able to save some money by doing it yourself. Thanks for watching!

      I buy crush rings at my local auto zone - www.autozone.com/external-engine/oil-drain-plug-gasket

      I have a 2019 accord, and mostly drive short trips, so the oil needs to be changed pretty frequently. However, our local dealer will do a synthetic oil change for $45 with an inspection. Is it worth doing it ourselves? Mobil 1 Oil from Costco is almost always on sale, 6 quarts for $28 or Walmart has 5 QT for $22. I can get a genuine filter for about $7 or less, with total cost around $30 for DIY. Is it worth the $15 savings?`

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  Před 4 lety +1

      This is definitely a good question and something I've thought about many times! I guess at that point it comes down to each person's particular situation. For me, the main reason I still change my own oil is because then it's one less thing I have to schedule and depend on someone else's schedule for (the dealer, local mechanic, etc.). Basically, when it's time to change the oil, I can do it that day, and if I can save a few bucks at the same time, that's just an extra bonus. For others though, they may say the extra $15 for someone else to do it is totally worth it, and I can see that side of the scenario as well.
      Another way I look at it is I can save that extra $15/oil change and put that aside for when the brakes need to be changed, and pay a mechanic to do that since I'm not 100% comfortable changing brakes yet.
      Either way, it's definitely something I've thought about many times over lol. Which way are you leaning? Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

      @@DoingWhatever thanks for replying! We have had if changed twice at the dealer but I was thinking of changing it again my self when it needs it.
