  • People have been asking me in the comments to update on the Toyota Highlander. So here we have it !unfortunately, on the way home from this trip a piece of road debris blew up and broke one of the front headlights so I ordered brand new Chinese headlamps for the Highlander. It’s gonna look real snazzy now. Enjoy!

Always loved this generation Highlander. My aunt and uncle bought an 06 Highlander Hybrid back when those came out - they then gave it to my cousin. The thing is still in the family and has well over 200k, on the original hybrid battery!

This thing is as old as I am! My parents had a black 2002 Limited with the tan leather interior which was crushed by a tree in my grandmother's driveway when I was one. The silver 2006 hybrid that replaced it was not a favorite of my mother's, and was eventually replaced by the TSX wagon that she still swears by today.

3MZ-FE engine with 215hp-230hp (depending on 87 vs 93 octane, since these motors pull some timing to prevent pinging on low-octane gas). Hence the manual says you can run Regular but for "increased performance" the use of premium octane (91+) is recommended.

Whatever became of your white ES350 with the bad transmission? Still holed up in the shop?

I am hoping that the older, 2005 Toyota Highlander with the 3.3 L V6 engine and the five-speed automatic transmission will be traded-in for the all-new, 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander HybridMax AWD full-size crossover with the all-new, 2.4 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which will produce 362 horsepower and the six-speed automatic transmission. It has about a little over 120 horsepower more than the old, regular Highlander. The Grand Highlander is a lot larger because it will be a lot safer than the 2005 Highlander, which is too compact already. Joe will be so happy to check out and driver the Grand Highlander HybridMax, once this regular Highlander is traded-in. It should be interesting to watch. Thank you very much.

Looking at a 2010 ES 350 with 115K miles for 12K. Good/great condition, is that too much? looking online that seems just above the average of 11,500 price tags I've seen. Thanks in advance
