Due to her controversial methods, young doctor Tatiana Yurievna (Oksana Akinshina) is on the precipice of losing her medical license. Her career may not be over, though. After she’s recruited by the military, Tatiana is brought to a secure science research facility to assess a very special case, that of Konstantin Sergeyevich (Pyotr Fyodorov), a cosmonaut who survived a mysterious space accident and has returned to Earth with a unique condition: there’s something living inside of him that only shows itself late at night. The military has nefarious plans for it. Tatiana wants to stop it from killing Konstantin. And the creature itself thrives on destruction.

You're right! I just watched "The Three Musketeers Pt 1"D'Artagnan." It was awesome. Not horror, but another AAA foreign adventure film.

Can I just add I love the way this has been filmed. The director has really thought about light, colour and lines/angles in every shot

I'm a huge fan of sci fi horrors, and its been a bit dry in that department lately. i accidentally stumbled over this and though "why not try". I had no expectations what so ever. But I was surprised at how good this movie was. It has a tense plot with some twists, and excellent direction and music. If you like scifi horrors, this is a must watch!
Finally, Russia has decided to tell us what really happened in space!

I watched the movie and it's amazing. Better than traditional hollywood alien movies.
Its sad that even if movies are much better than Hollywood movies...its never gonna be recognized as much as Hollywood movies do

I've been into anime and karate films for years and now recently watching non animated foreign films from various countries have me intrigued, a better word for it, HOOKED.

easily the best horror movie ever to me. brilliant and flawless from every angle.
Amazing film just love it.
A masterpiece, plane and simple.
the narrative is well done, even though it mostly centers on espionage and the fathers child being orphaned by the astronaut. very well done alien scenes but there's only about 4-5 of them in the film even though they are long scenes, including ripping peoples heads off and feeding on them. the creature itself is fascinating, and warrants further study. the final scenes are depressing, but redeem itself in the finale. honestly i think this will be a classic for overseas film-making. im looking forward to the creators next directorial debut. solid 8.5/10 a must see

This was a really good movie, it reminds me of the movie called Life, I swear the two aliens are related. Lol
It was more like a Venom to me. But it is like a mixture of Alien, Venom and Life.

It's really rare to watch an ET movie and be satisfied. This one does it tho.
The third act treaded a very fine line that ruined other sci-fi movies, like Event Horizon & Prometheus which started off with uneasy intellectual intrigue and mystery, then plummeted into action and chaos. Sputnik was not a 5/5 but goddamn it was very good.
Colonel Semiradov was perfectly played.

Aliens making sentient decisions are not new- Sputnik's blurring of axiology, however, is problematic- some scenes are too difficult to believe, even if this is a dystopic themed production. I give it a 6/10, the colour schemes of this production is ultimately a winner- I was so enraptured with the powder blue puffer jacket that Okshana wore, that I went and bought one myself-and that precise blue was one hell of a difficult find!

Hopefully it knows the biggest lesson from the original Alien (1979), that lesson being: "less is more", especially when it comes to showing the creature.
Alien's trailer was the best trailer ever made.

"Alien" is phemonenal and a fucking cult movie.
Would love to see some practical effects used for the creature personally. CGI flat out will be in the uncanny valley for another 5-10 years and I really feel that's what made the Xenomorphs in the Alien duology so effective and realistic.
