The reason most people don’t enjoy pineapple is because in the mainland most pineapple pre cut at the grocery store or side shops, the pineapple is not fully ripe yet. That’s why it’s either fibrous or hard and crunchy. Pineapple should let be cut and eaten until it’s beyond yellow in color and almost brown. That’s when the fruit is most ripe, the fibers have been given time to breakdown, sweet, and juicy! If the acid burns your mouth too much, lightly sprinkle salt before eating and it helps kills the burn of the acid. Now you know how us Hawaiians enjoy pineapple and why it’s “so much better” in Hawaii. It’s the same pineapple lol

When you walked out into the spa’s garden I said “whoa” out loud. I was the only person in the room. Lol! Aulani is so beautiful! I wish you & JoJo could stay longer but I understand it is expensive. Hopefully you get to return soon.

I remember my first trip to Hawaii -- it's really "life changing" when you're there. After our 4th visit, we still felt that Aloha Spirit and visiting Hawaii never get old. Hoping to return to Maui around 2027. Maybe by then, we'll take the Bezos Rocket and travel there in 1 hour instead of 12 hours.

The Laniwai Spa (Lah-knee-vai is my best pronunciation) is absolutely gorgeous! We can't wait to dine at Makahiki again next year (Ma-kah-hee-kee). The Olelo Room is fun to sit for a drink or appetizer and learn how pronounce many Hawaiian words. Enjoying your vlog!

Elevator tip… used this many times in NYC… if elevators are repeatedly full when trying to go down, press the up button.
It may take a few extra minutes for the trip up before heading down, but you’ll get where you want to go… usually the lobby :)
