Ingredients for cake 蛋糕的材料 :
4 egg yolks (蛋黄)
1 egg (全蛋)
20g caster sugar (细砂糖)
1/8 tsp salt (盐)
60g corn oil (玉米油)
60ml milk (牛奶)
100g plain flour (面粉)
10g corn flour (玉米油)
2 tbsp cocoa powder (可可粉)
3 tbsp hot water (热水)
4 egg whites (蛋白)
80g caster sugar (细砂糖)
For filling 馅料:
150g cherries (樱桃)
30g caster sugar (细砂糖)
20ml water (水)
1 tsp lemon juice (柠檬汁)
Frosting 糖霜:
50ml milk (鲜奶)
100g dark chocolate (黑巧克力)
150g non-dairy whipping cream (植物性鲜奶油)
Rum syrup 兰姆酒糖浆 :
1 tbsp caster sugar (细砂糖)
2 tbsp boiling water (热水)
1tbsp rum (兰姆酒)
Dark sepia colour in chocolate with softer cinnamon pink cream brings a tonal richness. Cherries a great flavour looks irresistible.
This recipe is highly recommended. The cake was soft with taste of rum (love it) and went so well with my vanilla whipping cream frosting. I had to half the recipe coz din have the right baking pan. But it turned out so good! Thank you Katherine!

I hv watched many Swiss roll demos on CZcams , most of them either showed the final product too hard n therefore cracked after it was rolled, or when I tried to peel off the bottom layer of parchment paper, the top golden layer peeled right off when rolling the cake, so, thnx for teaching me, now, I hv lots of success in this type of cake😁

٦٠ غ زيت مع ٢٠ غ سكر قبصة ملح 60 مل حليب تحركهم مع بعض و تزيد خليط الكاكاو و تحرك تزيد ١٠٠غ دقيق مع ١٠ غ نشا تزيد ٤ صفار البيض مع بيضة كاملة
٤ بياض البيض تحركهم و تزيد ٧٠ غ سكر على ثلاث دفعات مع استمرار الخلط و تحرك 1/3من بياض البيض مع خايط الكاكاو ثم تخلط كل شي مع بعض و في الصينية 27×37 cm
تطهى 140درجة ل27دقيق
٥٠ ما حليب على حمام مائي +١٠٠غ شكلاطة تخليه لين بيرد
ملعقة سكر مع ملعقتين ماء
١٥٠ غ كريمة الخفق تضيف عليهم شكلاطة و تخفقهم مه بعض
تقطع الكيك و تسقيه بماء و سكر ثم تضيف كريمة المخفوقة ثم حب الملوك و تلفو و تخليه ساعتين بالثلاجة و تزينوا ، بالعافية

What is non-dairy whipping cream ?
PPA it’s vegetable oil based shit.
I would substitute whipping cream but very careful when blending in chocolate not to whip too much that it gets too thick; you don't want butter.
