3 Months With Microlocs Update | I hate my curly ends!

- Hello friends! As of December 1, I'm officially 3 months loc'd! In today's video, I'm sharing a few updates (I have budding!) and some things I'm loving and not so loving on this loc journey!

I just got braidlocs w/ extensions and my loctician told me to braid and band at night and I don’t mind because I’m gonna protect my investment. I also don’t like the loose ends and will inquire about braiding down. However, everyone else loves the loose curly ends. Overall, I have more freedom than when I had to maintain my loose natural hair and overall I love my braidlocs.
I braided mine down in February. I couldn't take it anymore! I dont have to braid and band anymore (thank goodness) and I'm soooo happy with my progress! I was supposed to create a 6-month and 9-month update and I missed both checkpoints LOL. Im glad you are loving your braidlocs as well!
@@cheninthecity yours are gorgeous. Did you braid the loose ends yourself or did you go back to Braidsthatspeak?
I braided them down myself; took 3 days off and on and 17 hours total 😩
Great video. Regarding the curly ends, you could braid them yourself gradually. I’ve two strand twist microlocs and I’m browsing ends where the loose hair is longer than I’d have liked especially since it enables unraveling

I was about to type this exact comment! She could also two strand twist the ends instead of braiding them which would loc quicker than the braids and take less time to do then braiding them.
This is a good idea as well! It’s just the time commitment to actually do it
I had my microlocs established one month after you 😆. I know you mean about the ends, mine were so frizzy for the first few months
I couldn’t take it! I spent 13 hours and braided them all down this past weekend 🤣

Mm with the flatness, i think it's because you started with braids. Like the whole length is braided.
I agree! If I would have started off with twists I definitely would have had a ton of volume 🥲
@@cheninthecity Uh-huh but I know there'll be volume anytime from now to 6 months. I thought my locs weren't growing till I looked at pics from a year ago. Just trust the process.

@@AndohBannerman I hope so!! I’m starting to notice more budding at the top so it’s been rapidly changing in the last month! Your locs look gorgeous as well.
Braid locks tend to lock flatter. I started with sisterlocks 4.5 years ago and transitioned microlocks.
@bougiebohemian5393 I figured they would be flatter but I hope they swell just a bit fatter 😩🙏🏾
