I’ve had mine for about 5 years now and still use it to this day. It was my 2nd longboard first being an Amazon board which Is still in good condition and I actually just gave it to my sister for her first board:)
Love to hear it! Thanks for watching : D
I've been eyeing up this beautiful board for a while, and from what you've described in the vid, it sounds so perfect for what I want it for. Really well done and in-depth video, Thank you for sharing!!
Thank YOU for watching!
Hey, great video. These boards from Arbor have really unique designs and are great quality, I like the smaller one.
Solid review bro! I bought this board to replace my 50 dollar cheap one I bought to decide if I wanted to learn longboarding or not. I'll give that one to a cousin to learn on or keep it for when its wet outside. Your vid really helped me choose this board, respect.
I love to hear it! Thank you for commented! Glad I could help 😁
ordered this board after watching this video. it arrives today! thanks!
Great to here! I appreciate you! ❤️
thank you, great vid man ! just ordered the flagship one ! you have made me feel reassured in this day of online ordering !
I’m glad I could help :)
Nice in-depth review! Really considering this one.
Thank you! I appreciate it :)
I’ve been riding mine several times a week for years now. Love arbor. Good urethane too
I just picked up that exact board last night I wrote it in the mall and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face I’m a first time long boarding writer and I am so excited for winter the end and spring and summer to begin the thing is prices are definitely different I picked that version up for 220 and then plus tax would’ve been 230 but I guess the store had a lot to do with that I picked it up from Zumiez but frankly I don’t care because I feel like that’s a perfect board for me I am in love with that thing but thank you for making my confidence even bigger for my purchase
Thank you for your amazing comment! Have a great day!
just got my first board today!! thanks for the help my dude💙🤍
No problem! Have fun and stay safe : D
I have this and will say i love this board
Good review Jay. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Saw this in a store yesterday and didn't end up picking it up. But I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going back for it tomorrow.
I hope you went back! Haha
@@jaysboardinglife4235 haha I did. I got mine and love it!
You really sold me on this one. ✨
Thank you! I hope you enjoy your board!
Just subbed, u deserve more, Great vid
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me and I’m glad you appreciate the vids! 😊
Mine is coming tomorrow. I had another axis back in 2012(?) before it got stolen. I hope I still enjoy it like I used too and I hope it can slide. I used to slide around on the sector 9 fractal
I know it’s not always talked about being FOR sliding but it does a super good job for sliding in my opinion!
Probably swap the wheels to some harder ones that are rounded off for easier sliding
I just bought the 2018 model off fb marketplace its so fast. I have ridden mostly longboard cruisers and the switch to this full size board is amazing. But a helmet is necessary
Helmets for the win! Makes me sweat way more but atleast it keeps you safe! : D
Nice board! One question. Are the Paris Trucks on your board V3 or V2? If you can see the number 50 on the trucks, they are V3s.
Nice video man, just got mine in the mail!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it : D
Where do you order it
@@syn3170 I got mine off the zumiez website
@@josephwhite2056 ok thanks
I really want this board because i just fell in love with it, but i still have my old one which would do the job as i havent used it that much (sadly). Also if i where to get it i would probably just wanna hang it up somewhere because id be scared to damage the beauty. 😂 I also love the other arbor boards with zoe kellers drawings... Almost wanna buy them all just to look at, but i dont think i should spend a shit load of money just to stare at skateboards 😂 if i were rich id definitely do it 😂
Oh I definitely agree!! Once I bought this bought I didn’t want to ride it either, I tried to keep it perfect for awhile but then I decided it’s meant to be usedddd, so now it’s not perfect anymore but that’s okay! I love it how it is and if it ever got to a point where I had to put it to rest, then I would hang it up and it would show your memories!
Great review! Can I ask which one would you pick between this and a Drop Cat 38? I'm a beginner and looking to get a longer board to complement a 28 cruiser that I have on hand
I love them both but if I had to pick one I would definitely choose the arbor!
I actually got this board as a first board. I am an avid freestyle snowboarder and a patroller and instructor. I wanted to get into long boarding to ride in the off-season. In my opinion it is definitely a middle of the road board, after riding friends boards. It gets unstable at high speed and seems a little more difficult to initiate slides. It would make a great urban commuter out of the box though.
Are those tricks Paris V2 or Paris V3? Do you think I should build my own board?
For anyone that knows, how do these arbor drop through boards compare to something like a landyachtz drop cat complete? I’m thinking of getting one, and they both seem nice, but the arbors seem a little cheaper.
THANK'S so much, you replied to some questions I had! I was unsure about the durability of the transparent grip. If it wasn't my cup of tea, would it be possible to apply a standard grip on it to be sure? Thank's!
Sorry for the late reply! But too apply your own grip you would have to sand down the board and that would be a lot of work in my opinion! The clear grip is great but I definitely understand your concerns. Have a great day!
I picked up this board a couple of months ago. First longboard and I'm loving it. So since they come with ABEC 5 bearings, I figured I'd go ahead and pick up a pack of Bones Ceramic Reds. I put off swapping them until now. I went to swap them and my board came with Arbor ABEC 7s. Is this some new model or did someone mess up?
I thought it had abec 7
Hey man dope review thanks! I just got into longboarding myself. I really want this board. Do you recommend larger wheels? My neighborhood has some cracks in the concrete and a lot of acorns 😂) so a smooth ride is wanted haha.
So sorry for the late reply! These stock wheels destroy big cracks perfectly fine but another big wheel option would be “ plow kings “ thank you so much for your comment!
I was wondering about the curvature on that bamboo board deck, (doesn’t appear to be in the flagship full maple one, the deck is completely flat). Does it have a huge difference on anything? Great vid and keep it up, thanks!
I feel as if it locks you in just alittle bit more but honestly not that big of a difference! Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!! :)
What about pumping experience?
Hi I'm 5ft1 nd was wondering what size would best suit me for the Arbor collection the 32 or 40
It honestly depends, I mean I think your best bet is to go to your local skate shop or if you have a mall around you maybe a zumiez and stand on 2 different boards that are around each size. I think the 40 Is definitely the best option but some do prefer smaller. Thanks for watching! :)
Just got mine amazing I rode a 36 inch pennyboard and it has wider turns then the arbor board but currently amazing but the board has a rattle
Edit: zthe rattling was fixed it tighted the nut
Sorry for the late reply, but I’m glad the problem was fixed :)
Thank for your video ! Really Interesting !
I was thinking to buy It and It Will be my first board !
But do you think It will be a good board to do some with a dog ( my dog will pull )
I think it would work out great for that! That sounds like a lot of fun!
Hi Jay, do you have a recommendation on wheels after the stock one wears out? I am looking similar wheels to repair it. Thanks!
You can buy the same wheels the board comes with on Arbor’s website, if you are looking for something else. I think ButterBalls are great!
Any idea how it compares to their Schommer Dropcruiser 38?
I’ve never tried out the schommer but based on looks im guessing it would be better for downhill, keeping your feel locked it place more and a harder/stiff feel. It all depends on what you plan to do more with your board! Hope this helped
Hello!
Arbor axis 40 or landyachtz drop cat 38 for cruising and middle hills?
sorry for my english :))
thx!
For just cruising around town I would have to say the arbor! But if you plan on bombing hills then I would say the drop cat. Both are great choices and cant go wrong either way!
well spoken lad
Thank you! ❤️
Hey, amazing video. I’m mostly targeting cruising and I’m just afraid that the lack of kicktails makes the board quite difficult to nollie/manual to get on/off sidewalks etc. What do you think?
I would agree that yes I wish the tails were larger! But you can still get some small use out of them. If that’s what you need then maybe keep looking around!
What a great vid, thank you! Just got it today and it’s so sick!!!! Btw, anyone knows what his vans is, the name? It’s cool as well
Thank you so much! Honestly I forget what my shoes are called, I know vans sells a similar but not exact pair current if you look on their website!
Love the video! One quick question. How high off the ground is the board? (I'm thinking of buying it and making it electric down the line)
I’d say there’s def enough height for you to be able to do that!
Hey man, how much flex does the 40" bamboo Axis have? I've got an electric longboard and its deck developed a crack, so I'm going to swap its electronics to a new deck. I want something with a lot of flex, and I've been eyeing the bamboo Axis deck.
So sorry for the late reply, but it has a lot of flex in my opinion. If you like bounce but strong this will definitely work for you!
@@jaysboardinglife4235 All good man! I actually ended up deciding on the Loaded Dervish Sama instead, and it’s been awesome. I’ve put about 1k miles on the board since swapping the electronics onto the dervish and it’s held up flawlessly and skates SUPER well. If you’ve never rode a loaded dervish you GOTTA try one out
I got one but all four wheels don’t touch the ground how o I fix that??
Wait really?? I feel as if there is only two opinions for you then. First I would try to make sure all screws on the trucks are good and tight and the wheels feel in place. If every thing checks out then you may have received a bent board? I wish I could see what exactly is happening with your board but I would contact where ever you bought it from and get a new one. Sorry this happened you to man. Unheard of! Best of luck!
@@jaysboardinglife4235 what’s your @? This really helped me on making a decision 💸. Thanks man. Yea, I didn’t notice till I got home and the thing Is I was checking all of them and it seemed fine but I turned out completely wrong.
Where did you buy yours from? I can’t find it anywhere
I bought mine from Tactics.com! Hope it’s still available there for ya
is it easier to ride vs a regular skateboard?
Yes usually if your learning yes cruisers are easier and smoother
nice vid, is this similar to the flagship model?
Yes! Almost identical actually, the same wood and everything. Just the fact that this model has a top sheet of bamboo which makes it more bouncy. Same size, same trucks and basically the same bearings! Both are a great buy! But I much prefer this one basically just going off of looks and the top sheet of bamboo. Hope this helps!
would this be a good board for a beginner?
This is a perfect first board! 10/10 would recommend
Where to buy Arbor Boards/decks? They don't sell them directly :(
Sadly that’s the case! But there’s many places you can order them online. I got mine on tactics.com, you can also find them by just search the board you want on google and a store that is selling them should pop up! Hope you find what your looking for : D
@@jaysboardinglife4235 zumiez
Maybe Zumiez has some or they now sell them on Amazon..
Nice shoes. What is the brand?
Vans!
Is the board flexible? Or is it stiff?
Yes very!
Lmao
I just realized I didn’t answer the question correctly. Yes it is flexible! :)
Damn, in France this board is 250€ (~265/270$) 😭
Wow! That’s crazy, come take a visit over to the U.S.! Hahaa
I feel you almost 280$ in switzerland
@@Lupuscrafter damn, good luck bro ! Fortunately for me, I managed to find an Arbor Genesis 2016 collection for 150€.
And it is like it just came from the store except there were 2 little scratches on the trucks. So yeah, a brand new Genesis with nice design for half the price. Definitely a nice deal
“This board really does a good job of doing what it can do” . . . Lol. Was hoping for a bit more informative video on the board, but mostly got your opinion. Which wasn’t all that clear either.
Interesting thought man. I’m surprised you couldn’t get the message of the fact that I love this board, and how great it is. Either way thanks for the comment and have a great day!
Can you dance on the board
Hmm you could probably get away with some dancing but I definitely would say that’s what it’s for. If your looking to mainly dance I would have to say to keep looking around then. Besides that I love this board!
