  • In this episode I install a fuel pressure gauge and a fuel pressure sensor that can be logged with the VCM Scanner in HP Tuners. I do this by wiring it into the fuel tank pressure sensor circuit. I also show how to set up the custom User Math formula in HP Tuners to convert the sensor voltage to a useable pressure reading.

    This video helped me out a ton. Appreciate your time! I went through my A/c circuit just to verify I was losing fuel pressure at WOT and sure enough I am. That’s why my VE looks jacked at high rpm and it’s still going a touch lean

    Enjoyed your vid on adding a fuel pressure sensor. Just a couple of notes. Don't repeat yourself so much, and as a career tech, when I make wiring quick disconnections I always use weather pack connectors. being low buck myself, I'll go to weacking yards and scavange male and the matching female connection with a bit of wire where I can easily make weather proof heat shrink connectsion anions. I keep a inventoty of 2, 3, 4, etc connections. it will save a lot of future time chasing electrical faults from corrosion and oxidation. Keep doing your good Videos!

    why not just run from the pcm to the sensor. just look up which wire is the input for that tank pressure sensor at the pcm and cut in there. from there you could just tuck it into the main harness back to on top of the intake.

    • @LowbuckLS
      @LowbuckLS  Před 4 lety

      And attach the sensor right on the Schrader valve using the adaptor.

    • @LowbuckLS
      @LowbuckLS  Před 4 lety

      I thought about doing that, just figured the sensor would be subject to less vibration if it was mounted away from the engine.

      @@LowbuckLS i had my mounted on the Schrader for awhile, change to a af fuel rail due to going tbss intake. Never had any issues. It's a road racing car with super stiff suspension and engine mounts. Races for 14 plus hours over a weekend.

    • @LowbuckLS
