Fuck You Call of Duty: Black Ops (Treyarch)

- I don't know about some of you guys, but I've been unable to properly play Call of Duty: Black Ops since launch due to lag, various timeouts, etc and about a month and a half ago after their flood of patches, I wasn't even able to go online. Yes I have tested to see if I have a good connection and even tried various other games to see if it works. My conclusion after months of waiting and reading around the internet for answers?
Treyarch doesn't give a damn about the PS3/PC crowd. Fuck you Treyarch.

This is the exact same problem one of my online friends were having. He was so fed up, he traded the game in. So that's at least 2 people with the same exact issue.

While I am not having issues connecting into multiplayer like you, I do have issues with keep parties together in matchmaking and or just the general poor quality in matches with other players sometimes. Hopefully Treyarch with wise up and actually do something about it instead of passing these off as a non-issues because the majority don't experience it.

@martinboson No, my parents have not bought me a game since I was 12.
I have a job so that helps and I usually only buy my games when they're under $20. New games are a treat, so I only buy 2-3 (every year) on the release date.
I haven't had too much problems with my copy of Blops for PS3, but it seems like MW2 had a bit better hit detection/lag compensation/netcode or whatever and was usually better at keeping you connected. My only problem was every now and then when a host left the migration screen would be stuck. Unfortunately I never really liked MW2 and sold it about a month after purchase. My biggest wish right now would be if Blops had the same quality connectivity that MW2 had.

My little brother had a similar problem with call of duty: modern warfare 2. After a patch, it failed to connect to the internet at all. We thought it might be the connection but EVERY other game worked. We tried so many things to fix it, and eventually gave up. A few months later, after I had given up all hope, I thought of doing a button reset on the router, since that was the only thing I never did. I figured I wouldn't have to since every other game worked, but lo and behold, it worked.

I bought BO for Pc,so i might as well flush both the disc and the box,once you install it you don't need the DVD anymore.
@MrRahtin True. And is it just me, or is the zombies worse too? The original maps from WaW were so much better, and simpler too.

@mefano You must have watched the video, nothing was wrong with his connection, He just had problems with Treyarch end of things. Also read the description.
Infinity ward is a very young game developer. The first Call of Duty was made less than 10 years ago. They haven't yet, but I think that soon they'll start a new franchise

im not of the ps3 crowd, but i support your cause. I only play the multiplayer in COD, so something like this would make the game useless for me. Doubtful but hopefully they'll fix something soon.
That was awesome dude, i havent touched blops on my 360 for months and im sure it works fine for 360's, im thinking about selling my 360 for a ps3 or something since i only really play pc now, and the whole hacking thing has interested me.

That's pretty funny because I never have that problem on my xbox360. It's also cool that I get map packs ahead of you ps3 people. Feels good to be the king.

i took my ps3 cd to my work on a construction site. I smashed it to peices with one of those really big hammer things they use to hit wooden posts into the ground.

Hey, this isn't happening to me at all. I use a wired connection and have a "big" PS3, maybe that makes a difference?
But I know two of my friends occasionally have this issue, and they use WiFi and have "slim" PS3s. Try wiring your internet, or if you can't, try using your neighbor's WiFi or something, as it could be a weird connection/programming error.

I think so too. Call of duty Black ops never works for me and even if it does sometimes it kickes me out or its lagging like crazy eventhough i have 100% strength on my connection...
It sucks that it has to be like this cuz this cod game is pretty fun when its not lagging or kicking me out. Well... lets hope that the next COD is better this time... if not then im not buying any COD games anymore :(

nowadays I just play it for zombies. I've gone back to playing Bad Company 2. less bugs, less lag, more fun... so why not?
@HamburgSuedKillAss BC2 plays so differently from COD. So to be honest, I'd rather not have them play BC2 because they'll be trying to keep their K/D high and not playing as a good squad member.
I traded my CoD:BO in after a week. Felt good to trade it to AC: Brotherhood.
@LKenman I'm a fan of my 360. it's the only system i own. But this guys got a great point. If you're going to make a game and it turns out to be the biggest selling media of all time, then you need to keep up with the fanbase, a big chunk of them being ps3 users. i clicked like because treyarch made an ok game (MW2 is better in everyway) and they need to fix the online for ALL of the ways of playing it

@copperkipper1 actually it's the publishers who cares about money, the dev team will do as much as they can if the publisher provides the money needed to continue working on the game...activision hates delays that's why they release unfinished games to be patched during the first week
Had the same exact problem with black ops, in less than 10 min I was kicked off of games like 7 times just cuz of connection and i had fast High speed internet

I've had issues connecting with people since the launch, but definitely not this badly. There's also the terrible frames dropping in and out, all the time because it's a terrible xbox port.
black ops has bad connection problems on the 360 as well (for me at least), it's pure luck if i get into a match whereas halo reach works instantaneously

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Just a few things I'd like to address.
1. I bought the game to play with my friends since most of my "casual" gamer friends just buy COD games and I'd like to play together with them.
2. I did not flush the game down the toilet (it was just for symbolic purposes) . I however did something far more sinister.

I finally, truly understand why everyone hates Treyarch so much. After some of the shit I've had to deal with on the 360 with Black Ops (rampant lag, splitscreen glitches, constant inability to form parties with my friends), I'm just done buying Treyarch games.
the worst part is,in call of the dead SMG sounds like a dude when dolphin diving FUCKING LAZY TREYARCH

Very true in my opinion, I love the CoD franchise but didn't enjoy World At War or Black Ops online at all. Mind you, I didn't like Black Ops single player either.
Modern Warfare 2 is so much better in most ways in my opinion. Infinity Ward seemed to get it just about right.
You should be playing Bad Company 2.

I've got Black Ops for PS3 and I've never had a problem.

That's pretty poor. I only have an Xbox 360 now but used to have a PS3 too (YLOD sadly) which I loved.
I'd be furious if I bought a game which was really about playing online and it didn't work properly. It's disgusting if this mainly affects PS3/PC users.

How is it that all these great developing studios are shutting down yet Treyarch are still going?! Thumbs Up if you think Treyarch should go under so other developers can come and create games that actually work!

@panzer254 It's not the developers, it's Activision. They churn out average games for instant profit and don't listen to customer feedback. I bet the developers would make higher quality games if they were given longer development cycles.
Dude, Demon's Souls looks incredibly underplayed seeing the state of your gear, stats, etc. Why don't you play that instead, it is of much better quality that Black Ops.

Am I the only one here who could play Black Ops on the PS3? The only problem I have is that I have to turn my desktop's internet connection off to play offline... thats it, otherwise, it works perfectly fine...

I think the reason Treyarch had record-breaking sales is due to the fact that a lot of former MW2 players thought CoD Black Ops would be better, but it turns out its a pile of shit...
By the way, very nice game collection.
I bought the PC version on Steam, I'm just sad I can't flush a digital copy down the toilet.
Terrible, terrible multiplayer game support and Treyarch deserve nothing for it.
