Hey I just wanted to ask how many hours do you usually work in an hospitality industry? I've heard they work very long hours especially those in hotel and restaurant management. I'm interested in taking a career in hospitality but the amount of hours they work is making me hesitant to do it
A lot of people believe hospitality workers work longer hours but, it’s not true. The industry is run on a shift system that is different from MON-FRI: 9-5 but, it doesn’t mean the workers work longer hours. Many employees work an average of 5 days per week but, some may request to do less or more. When business is slow employees generally work 3-5 days per week. Here are the most popular hours of work in the industry: 7:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m 3:00 p.m - 11:00 p.m 11:00 p.m - 7:00 a.m
