- Hello brothers! It's been a pleasure working on these warhammer lore videos for this past year and a half. The support you guys have shown just gives me the drive to make the best videos I can while trying to explain the Warhammer lore in a digestible way. Thank you for watching and enjoying the content!
This is one of those videos that I wanted to do for a long time. Grimgor was one of the first characters I knew when I got into the hobby back in the day. In this episode we exclude the events from the End Times. Let me know if you prefer this type of longer videos or do you prefer shorter, more digestible lore videos? Love the part of his lore when Archaon thinks he's hot shit but gets clapped so hard by Grimgor he broke his magic helmet and cry to Skarbrand for help.
Don't forget the part where grimgor told archaon to shut the f*ck up and then almost strangled him. And let's not even get into the retconned lore where grimgor headbutted archaon into a coma.

Playing a campaign as Grimgor now in WHIII. I started in the far north of the mountains, in Ogre Country.
To the west, was order, Kislev, The Empire, the Dwarfs, and everyone else, already under threat by Chaos and the Undead. Easy pickings.
To the East, the Chaos Wastes, the forces of disorder and destruction, daemons and monsters beyond counting, a hard, and unrelenting campaign.
And on that day...
Grimgor decided, that maybe he didn't want to be the bad guy anymore...

@@cptwhitebeard1880 in terms of 1vs1 dueling, he is the strongest lord currently. In the grand scheme of things so dealing with faction bonuses and such, yeah, not that good compared to other lords, even within the orc faction.
He was never weak. At WH1 launch my first campaign was with him and he wrecked everyone's face. Like in the true lore he took Archaon and made him his bitch one-on-one. Maybe l2p?

I recall that originally not only were they the strongest orcs, but they were also the most intelligent - which was why they weren't subject to animosity rules and could forge heavy plate.
Always felt like a wasted opportunity. "We bred these super special orcs, they're more disciplined and smarter."
Who's their leader? Just the biggest specimen and the meanest, exactly who a regular warboss of any tribe would be.
What do they want? Fight and kill everything... like regular orcs.
What clever strategies have their greater minds made them infamous for? Uh... we wuz... uh.. brute force frontal assault, get stuck in and fight harder until we win, bet no orc's ever thought of that before.
I have never read a lore of warhammer. I just only play total war warhammer.
You guys have helped me understand the lore and so much more. Thank you so much for your great work. They are like movies that I am willing to watch anytime.
It’s a crying shame we never got to see a battle between Grimgor Ironhide and Settra the Imperishable. I dunno who would win, and I don’t really even care one way or the other. All I know is, it would’ve been something to watch with a king-sized bucket of popcorn.

Age of sigmar sounds fun to play and all. But the old world is just more interesting and I find it easier to get invested in. I'm real new to WHF btw.

@@bonefetcherbrimley7740 Its even better when you keep in mind they didn't want this to happen, the only reason it made it into the lore was because Chaos lost the 'Storm of Choas' player driven event and the Orcs won. The intent was for Choas to win ti get the story to the right place, but everyone hated the hard push with Archon and so the writers had to concede and Grimgor landed his famous nutshot.

@@aymanelkadouri8235 The Organ guns pack a real punch, yes. They melt heavy infantry too, esp since they ignore shields. But getting there with the dwarfs in TW:W2 takes ages since they grow so slow.

CA really needs to give Grimgor some love.
I’m so happy with what the Greenskin update that came with “The Warden and The Punch” has done for Grimgor and the Greenskins as a whole. The only thing I’m and others are kind of annoyed with is the fact that Azhag has been moved to Karak Ungor instead of Grimgor which is generally his base of operations in the lore.
This lore video has captured the savage energy of Grimgor, even the narrator was feeling it

My First campaign in total war warhammer was with the dwarfs, And I did not understood the mechanics of this the game yet And played like rome. Got destroyed by this endless greenskins tides to the point that even now, 4 years later, I've never played as greenskin And I make my priority to eliminate them First whenever I find them. Let's see if this vídeo can encourage me tô play my First ever greenskin campaign.

I would love to see the Battle at High Pass in live action, just seeing Grimgor cut a dozen or so Kurgans in half with each swing of Gitsnik, while the Black Orcs clashing with Chaos Warriors. Beasts of Chaos large holes in the Greenskins ranks, with each fallen on both side is replaced by three new warriors. Just a big, bloody battle.

I've been playing a grimgor campaign recently and managed to get 8600 orcs on screen in a big waggh against Fort Soll, shit was epic
Now I want to make a army of black Orcs as Space Marine. I don't care if that doesn't work because just learning about them sound so cool.
imagine black orcs in 40k, a whole army of orks as big as 'nobs and covered in super heavy armor, or at least more than usual

In total warhammer I once had a grimgor Ironhide by himself. I had him tunneling to the front so he could lead again when some dwarfs cut him off and he had to fight. The Scales said he had an 10% chance Because it was 5 squads of dwarven troops. i was like, ugh i dont want to watch him die. Autoresolve. He won.
