I'm a heavy gambler and got scammed several times because of it. Once I put a quarter in a gumball machine, and no gumball came out!!! Another time, I was at the boardwalk, and in total I must have dropped like $1.25 into a claw machine. Guess who never won a stuffed animal? -.-
sum1unoforever no, you need to leave
A for effort
LanceDaPsycho 1.25??? damn the claw machines are 2$ a pop here...
The claw is pressuriced (sorry if i typed that wrong) and it's programmed to let go when you grab something.
I have won stuff from those claw machines
"demand payment". 2 most used words in this video. You can demand all you want. You're not getting shit.
Till the local cops show up who are in on the scam.
+Pfsif arrest me then I have done nothing wrong
you are right, however, for most of the common people (not you brave boots with a pistol) they wont know what to do in a situation like that, being abroad, the language barrier, environment, worries about culture and customs, then if it is really life threating etc. I have been around and I tell you, best way to do is to keep yourself in first place ´bling free` coming across rich, too well dressed for the location and looking like is just about to get lost...makes you a target. What about not offering help, nor giving help, neither accepting nothing whatsoever from anybody.
When I was in Paris, my two sisters and I were approached by three black men (outside a church with a lot of tourists). They started making bracelets on my hand and sung hakuna matata. They started asking where I was from etc. They seemed really genuine. Then when they were done they demanded money for the service, and they asked for my parents. I was quite shocked and I said "I don't know". The man started getting mad, and was looking me in the eyes, and thats when I lost it XD. I ripped the bracelet off my hands and started yelling in his face like, I was pissed off basically. Then I walked away (A little scared) but he didn't bother me afterwards. My sisters just followed me haha.
Same thing happened to me in Greece... was approached by THREE black men as you described. WTF LMAO.
J4NI 😂😂😂😂
Johnny Xenos Idk where the fuck i was lmao.
This is some organization of con "artists" lmao
How odd haha, what's the chance of us meeting the same people? Like one in a million?
The scammers I hate the most are the ones that act like they are homeless when they are loaded. It kills people's trust meaning that the real people who are homeless get trusted less.
ur right. and if the REAL homeless people r less trusted they won't get enough money.
And just because someone is homeless, that person can request money from people. If you're homeless, it means that you are not good at managing your money. Instead, get a job, and work for money, not sit down and request it. Then ask people if they can rent a room out to you at a price you can afford. Then when you're ready, go to a bank to get a house loan. Use that money to buy a small house, and move in. Now, you just need to pay off your loan, over a few years. There you go! A (maybe way too much simplified) way to get back to a status as a normal person. Of course it could be problematic to get a job, but hopefully, it will happen
So what you're saying is that every single person that are homeless is because they are bad at managing their money? Wow... you got some learning to do.
Tobias SN are you serious? yeah, in an ideal word they will be able to get a job (no disrespect) looking abut dirty and rough? who would give them a job? so without step 1, I suppose your homeless-fixer-uppa plan fails at the gates.
Let's just say that I'm a 12 year old kid who doesn't know anything about real life
If you are a young, attractive girl at the airport in Paris be careful of handsome guys offering to split a cab with you. They will see where you are staying and come kidnap you later and force you into prostitution. Hopefully you have a badass dad who can rescue you though.
Seen any movies lately?
Nice movie plot oh wait it's been done
Donnie D. happened to you?
Donnie D. i think you mixed it up with the movie Taken.
Nate M. I never understand the Plot of that movie on why a criminal organization would take a huge risk to kidnap a white american girl, that would bring too much heat on their organizations and that's exactly why they don't target americans, this is why white people never get kidnap in mexico, only robbed and bribed, only mexican americans get kidnapped.
I've seen guys with signs that say "i'll be honest, i need a beer" lol i usually give those dudes a buck or two and avoid the "my 17 children are starving" guys
lol
terrible. . . .but true, sadly.
Very scientific, bravo!
+Steiner Miller (ScienceLabs) ...Do you often edit for Urban Dictionary?
popular in las vegas... *shows NYC cab*
ja. haha
марихуана блейзер Lol
Lol
@Spurdo Sparde, Quick of you to realize that 90% of photos used in CZcams listicle slideshows are stock, not really taken just for this list.
Fair enough since in NYC is where I had the most issues with taxis in the US, usually though it was going the long way around to raise the meter.
Don't buy things from people on the street also don't accept their 'gifts'! Before you go on holiday buy a money belt that is worn under your clothes and keep your money inside it. Keep some local currency (to buy small things like beverages) in your front pockets which ideally can be zipped or buttoned closed. Do not interact with people on the street/beach/clubs etc who make you feel uneasy as your gut feelings are normally right. Don't do things you wouldn't do at home - would you let a stranger take your hand and read your fortune or make a friendship bracelet in your own town? Keep the same sense of safety and awareness that you have when you are at home and you should be okay. And never ever carry someone's bag for them or let them carry yours the bag could contain drugs, counterfeit money or stolen goods. If you are stopped by airport security carrying such a bag you will be held responsible for its contents. Look up travelling advice from the government website of the country you are visiting and your own government website before you go.

Not sure if bots replying..but this is nice to know
swag swig yeah there saying my comment over and over
In Paris, when you are approached by the supposedly deaf and mute charity workers, you can often hear them converse with each other normally after they step away just a few metres. It's really sad, especially since it's often kids who (have to) do it.
Wow.
*meters
***** True. Not sure why I forgot that, since I am from Berlin. :)
baddogonline I don't know what Paris or London you're thinking of, but no Communism there as far as I know. :)
***** By correct you mean your dialect, you bigot. But I'll agree Iam Josh is a dipshit for "correcting" him.
Demand payment? So what? Just say no.
Jason Statham Ye right, when there is a black dude lookin like a body builder with 2 AK47s in his back pocket? while smelling semtex
***** depends if the police is corupt or not, in most countrys however the police is very aware of these scams, and the scammers might run away mid scamming you if they notice police around
***** So?! How doees being a stucker change it? If someone robed a old woman by claim to be her grandson are you saying she shouldn't be help? Cause that's the same concept!
***** Anyways the best thing to do to stop bike theives is to weld shit to it
baddogonline What? Why the fuck are you saying that?
what i learned from this video: don't be a tourist
Or at least don't look like one. These people usually approach people who are obviously not from around.
Davedabrave you mean dont be white lolw
Davedabrave or don't go to Europe just stay in the United States
coming with my huge jack wolfskin backpack and designer jacket. Arounf my neck I got an Canon camera. Finest baiting equipment
Crazy_Airsoft_child did you not read about the Disney or vegas scams?
I remember once at a red light someone wanted to wash out windshield and we kept saying no, but he did it anyways. Then he demanded payment and got in front of our car and said he wouldn't move unless we payed him. So we honked really loudly which scared him and then we nudged him a bit with the car, and he moved cursing us out for not paying him lol.
Popplestarch Should have backed up and turned away. I am glad he didn't had any other weapons than cursing.
Popplestarch Should have just ran him over lol
Ryan Jack lol
WHEN IN ROME if you visit the colosseum and a guy dressed up like a gladiator asks if you want to take a picture, say no because he will charge you after it's taken. Also, watch out for pickpockets specifically getting on and off a train (the metro). The pickpockets are usually young (like 14-16) and they will try and make it look like they're trying to get past you, while his friends take your phone from your pockets. They will then proceed to exit the train right before the doors close so you won't be able to catch them when you realize your phone/wallet is gone.
Gina Kameron OMG - You could not be more right! I went to Rome in March (with our school) and took a backpack, which I literally had to wear facing forwards when out, in case someone helped themselves. We were all literally so paranoid and had to hold our belongings held tight - especially on trains and buses as they were always so packed!
Yes!! I ran into the same problem with the fake gladiators at the colosseum. Such a ripoff.
Thanks for the tips. Going to Rome later this year. Kinda worried about the amount of pickpocketing that goes on.
Glad I can help! Just be careful when you're in tight spaces with people you don't know, try not to look too touristy (because the regular pickpockets target the tourists), and be sure to be aware if someone runs into you really hard but play it off like it's an accident. Other than that, you should be fine! Have fun in Italy!
Gina Kameron I hate to say it but... I think a fanny pack would solve all of this. It's the only way! D:
Why some people even scam for? They're scaring the tourists out of their country. If i saw a tourist i would just smile and think: That person wanted to come to my country.
Because they want money now and don't care about the bigger picture
Ser Pepe Because they need money
Ser Pepe Most of the time these things happen in poor/poverty stricken areas and people need money. Maybe they can't find a job, maybe they don't want one, but either way, people gotta eat. If you are starving and need money, I'm sure your first thought isn't going to be about the revenue generated by tourists that's going to your country. You are worried about yourself.
Ser Pepe Thats why you go to scandinavia m9.
Killua. You are a fucking scammer
this is why I never go outside
I demand payment.
mef1975 lol
Lag haha
That's bad.
Death The Reaper
I demand judgement fee! You pay now! 2 banana!
Another one is that someone will throw a baby that has been trained to pickpocket at you, and when you catch it it will take your belongings. This almost happened to my aunt, but she had heard about this and when it was throw she didn't catch the baby. You may see this as cruel, but do you really want to risk having your belongings stolen?
Dominic Russo lol
I would've stolen the baby.
I could make use of that talent.
Well not catching a child is just stupid and a lil messed up but if ur smart enough how about u don't give them the baby back just like that and call the cops because most likely u have witnesses and these people just threw a baby at you because ur aunt could have been wrong and just let a poor baby get hurt
Lalanee Jarreau so, you want to steal a baby instead?
About a month ago, I went to Puerto Rico, and everywhere they wanted $5.00 for a can of coke!!! Back at California I could probably buy a 24 pack for that!
And everywhere meals are $100.00 for normal food (we had 4 people)
Austinrocks1100 Did you know, that if you hover your mouse over to the right side of your comment, there is an option to edit that very same comment. Funny and neat, don`t you think?
Mcjackass, im using the ios version
Jonathan, it wasn't people selling it. It was the restaurants.
Austinrocks1100 Okay... My comment remains the same. I don't feel like copying and pasting it again.
Oh god!!! Yes!! I'm from New York. Those CD artists are so annoying!!!
FunnyJoshVideoz When I see them, I just keep walking, and if they try to stop me I give them a stern look that says "don't mess with me"...work everytime :) - Juan
Haha when they ask for payment they say "I'm looking for a donation" I give them a penny. And they say "OH I CANT TAKE PENNY I NEED A DOLLAR" and I troll them saying that I gave a donation and now they want 100 times more than that? wtf lol
FunnyJoshVideoz Why not just report them?
"Buy my fire mixtape."
There is only one rule in life you should follow.. 1. Trust no one.
I can't trust you so I trust you idk
Well I can't trust you
I dont trust your comment.
Pretty bleak life, good luck with that.
That has been my rule for most of my life.
When I went to Puerto Rico, this guy had an iguana with a tiny hat on and told my family to hold it and take pictures of it because it was free. Turns out he charged us like 2$ but my dad was pissed xD. He was standing behind the guy acting like he was getting ready to knock the shit out of the guy xD (I love to tell this story)
Jesus Christ Europe is awful with scammers, never going there!
THE SHEEPGOD this only applies for South and East Europe, and it's very rare.
Uk is fairly safe
Belgium is really safe
You know thats not very respectful to Europeans. If you would actually visit the continent you would see its not all about scammers
THE SHEEPGOD Well... Don't go to East and South Europe... You will be fine.
Enforcing death penalty for those scams would put a quick end to such behavior.
True story: so i went away to Spain for holiday. These spanish guys (spoke good english) came up to me, and they pretend they where lost, so they asked me for a map. I bend over to get a map from my bag, but while im getting the map, they pickpocket me and run away. But the catch is, i was prepared, and I had a fake wallet with a message saying 'Jokes On You, Bitch!' I was literally pumped that they fell for it
Good one.
Vault-Tec Rep he still stole your wallet!Thats an easy 2-5 dollars
😱😱😱😱
They still got your wallet, so who is the joke really on? XD
Nice fake story 👍🏼
come here to finland people don't usually steal here :)
Silver Friman suomiperkele
How about the Jet Ski scam in Thailand, you go to a beach and there's a Jet Ski rental there and you decide to rent one. you get it on the water and ride around for the time you rented it for and then you bring it back, when they look over the boat they'll say that you damaged it and harass you for money. if you call the cops one of those crooked cops will show up and insist that you pay them. often time these scammers work for a gang too so they're pretty dangerous and shady.
morrius07 Wow, never heard of that one. That sounds pretty frightening - Juan
list25 We were warned of this when we went to Thailand so we used our GoPro and walked around the jet ski filming it, pointing out any damage that was already on there. We got a veeeeerrrryyyyy cheap ride on the jet ski that day! Go the GoPro!
weestevie04 Genius idea lol
+morrius07 more about protect oneself against scams at our channel
+dbltrplx no victims is morons or stupied and so on only the scammers are. Nothing is the victims fault they are totally innocent. The victims shall never ever be blamed for anything, they are totallly innocent. Stop putting blame on the victims who already have been hurted and abused of the scammers and scams thats enough, the victims suffered enough Hell and trust abuse and heart feelings abuse already, and start put the blame and accuse the real evildoers, the scammers of the scams and their many other types scams instead, thanks.
( Generally speaking of various other types of scams:
Some or many or most of the victims of various types of scams also have remained hurts still even that they now are far away from any type or form of scams. Lets pray and hope time will heal their wounds and ours. But getting money back is very difficult, however in those cases Visa card been used it can be possible to ask Visa card company or Bank to try to get money back, but in many cases it can be hard or difficult, to get it through, but sometimes it works, and you get your money back, of the charges you paid by your Credit Card, at least that you get back, witch is much better then nothing.
Worst part is often not only the money loss, but the trust heart abuse feelings issue, but that problem only God and Jesus Christ, Gods Son true of Bible, Gods Word, truelly can help us with, aswell all other daily things in life. However both is bad the heart abuse feeling issue and the money loss by the scams and scammers of course etc.)
Thanks.
i put sharp things in my pockets.... they actually cut their hands in my jacket pocket looking for my wallet
genius but dangerous and possibly illegal
Well mostly my backpacks
+DARKANGEL9I9I9 i would place a fake grenade and watch them flip out :p
+Neeko best idea ever man
Neeko or fake money
Anyone who insists on doing something, then asking for money has to be insane. Sorry, but I'm not going to fork over any cash for something that you forced upon me and others.
Damn now im getting scared of going on vacation
ColourfulPixels same. And paranoid
Ziva Games 🤑🎣
wow i just scamed a guy going to ________ this country thanks bro
TIP: Tell taxi drivers that you are familiar with the area.
That way, they won't take you on the long routes in fear of you figuring out that they're scamming you.
I dislike how he says "Europe" because most of the time it's a specific country.
Well those specific countries are in Europe, so it doesn't matter.
Friendship Is Magic Yes, it does matter because Europe is the most culturally diverse continent on the planet and no one country is alike. Thus generalising it as Europe instead of a specific country is annoying.
Friendship Is Magic it does, actually, you don't want to try and avoid something that happens in another country, but not that one. that would make you look paranoid
Oic
LEVI Q it happens every where
Guilt into giving money? Fuck that shit, if someone asks for that and they don't deserve it, they sure as hell ain't gettin it.
Someone tried doing #2 to me, I told him to screw off (he was black.) As I was walking away, he called me racist.
What is the point of telling us he's black
+GrimRe4per86 because he felt like stating it. Problem?
+GrimRe4per86 because the black man called him a racist. bill was making sure we knew he was black, that's why he pulled the race card.
+Bill Worley
A tutorial on how to survive a black man calling you a racist.
Step 1: Pee on him to show dominance.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: PROFIT!
+Gamingas what the fuck why did i laugh at this
Alternatively, why not feed your paranoia by staying at home, locking the doors and windows, and watching the real world on TV?
I just act like a velociraptor every time I go into public. People tend to stay away from me as I swing my arms around and make dinosaur noises.
***** Well, it's worked wonders for me so far. All are free to use this technique at will. :S
+Emma Downs you know, I was a little bit constipated but then I listened to your music, and the sht just started flowing. Thanks for the help
JOE FAQURSELF
I am glad that my music could help you out there. ^_-
Emma Downs lol, sorry, I was only joking., my apologies
JOE FAQURSELF
It's all good. It gave me a good laugh.
I'll take one shiny shoe
me 2,one shiny is better than 2 dirty shoes
Curtain Poles : The shoe shine scam happened to me in Lima Peru.
turowat: you should let the guy clean 1 shoe and you clean the other dirty shoe yourself, problem solved
How about get your shoe shined by one guy, go to a different store and get the other one shined? Problem solved
Vinh Nguyen It was a kid. At the end I paid what I considered fair.
EXPECTS payment? DEMANDS compensation? I'm an American. I ain't paying for shit!
But do you know what americans do pay for?? Prostitutes.. ahhhh yeaaahhhh
MURRIICCAAAAAA
sirroxalot dude stop lying. In America you just sue the other person for compensation and an extra $2000 since you are broke af.
I am currently on vacation in Spain and there are a lot of people walking the streets( and alot of them on the beach ) and selling all kinds of stuff, sunglasses, headphones, handbags and sports t shirts and many other things. They are really annoying. They wont leave you alone and if you show them any attention they get really greedy and almost beg you to buy something. Luckily for me i took one class in sign language (like deaf people use) and i just do basic things in sign language ( like what my name is and when my birthday is ) and they will just put up a wierd face and walk away. I have been doing this and they leave me alone. Have a nice day.
Alex Bjarki Good thing sign language is the same in all countries :-/
Alex Bjarki genius
***** and most likey no one else will either so just throw up gang signs. They won't know the difference
+Bloodbath and Beyond Actually, there are several different ones...
Andrea Collier **whoosh**
The sad thing is after watching videos like this, enthusiasm for travel tends to noticeably diminish.. I love traveling, but actively avoid areas famous for scammers. Even when visiting a beautiful historical place, the mood can be entirely ruined by scammers and peddlers.
4 words: Underneath the Eiffel Tower
Do not accept gifts. Generosity doesn't exist.
Scam whoever scams you! And don't forget, make your pocket very spikey or maybe a booby trap in there
mines always in my handbag and my handbag is always kept under my large coat so they would have to unzip my coat to get my bag XD ain't nobody stealing from me.
+Shaheer Syed Don't do it. Do you think that the laws in other countries are like those where you live?
wholeNwon Its probably illegal in my country too, but this is the right thing to do.
+Shaheer Syed Really? So, an adult forces a 6 or 8 year old child in Europe, India or elsewhere, to pick pockets and you want to injure the child? You think that's "the right thing to do"? I don't. I put the valuables I must carry in a money belt under my clothes. Just a little loose currency in my pocket. Easy.
wholeNwon The child should then refuse. He could easily sue the adult and send him to jail.
Ha! And people thought America was bad with crime! Take that Europe!!!!!!
Alex The Gamer It's pretty difficult to hold a thief at gunpoint in Europe - But we've got licenses/permits to do that here ;)
Alex The Gamer America is bad with crime, and will always be. It's 1000000% far worse than Europe, and will stay like that forever.
***** Great Britain has a violent crime rate four times higher than ours in the United States...
***** Check the official crime statistics per 100,000 residents and you will find that I am correct. The home office and FBI .gov
You're joking, right? Using a survey of how people feel as an actual data point?
Who checks for their wallet when they see one on the ground? I know what mine looks like. Unless they have the exact same one as me and I can't feel it, my first inclination would be to open it to check for an id to see who owns it and to try to return it to them or the authorities.
If anybody demands payment for a service and they didn't initially ask for it, I'm saying heck no and leaving
They could get violent so it's not worth doing that, just shout POLICE and they'll probably get scared and run off
Ben Healey then you get violent back lol
Striker77 getting violent leads to public attention and eventually police will come along and even if you tell them what's happened, they'll arrest you for violent conduct, best you shout police to scare them off rather than cause a scene then get fucked by the police XD
@@benhealey8055 Arresting the victim? What kind of a shitty 3rd world country you are living in?
I had my cell phone stolen out of my pocket in Copenhagen. He approached me gesturing either wanting a cigarette or to dance. He grabbed my hand and tried to trip me. I thought he was just a drunk. I pushed him away, but during this brief encounter, he took my phone without me realizing it. If you encounter someone like this, best bet, don't let them get close to you. Your phone is not safe even if its deep in your pants pocket.
Matt Fuchs Was he a gypsie? Why am I asking? Of course he was.
I'm just gonna start carrying around a wallet that only has a paper that says "fuck you" and hope somebody tries to take it
__ I used to carry two wallets in high school, one with a bunch of useless crap and 1 dollar. Never had to give it to a thief though.
I was just thinking that
Put one that says deez nuts ha gotem will be better
You forgot one.. I was robbed by a group of innocent children. They begged me saying please mr. And patting me down. I understood after my phone was gone, that they were not so innocent
I once went to a store and the guy didn't give me my 5c change :'(
did you sue him?
I once bought something for $2.99 and payed with a $5 bill. The cashier gave me $2.00 change.
I told him "where the fuck is the rest of my change."
he's like, "oh, sorry" and handed me a penny.
I replied with, "you fucking scammer!"
I've never returned to that store. It was Walgreens. Don't go there, they'll scam you out of any penny they can.
Same, buthe owed me 10p. Covered my waiting terribly.
I watch a video about a 7-Eleven manager is trying to harass a guy for not giving him 12 cents since he was short on money. He was told to get 12 cents from the ATM that charges him $3.00 for just 12 cents. Afterwards, they start swearing and hating at each other.
Better carry Voodoo supplies with you when you come across old ladies and scream out gibberish to try to freak them out by counter-cursing them.
o yeah, criminal is only common in Europe, South America and Asia..gimme a break
This is made for Americans so a trick for vacation can help
I mean these can be applied to almost everywhere.
he mentions one in Las Vegas and uses NYC taxi pics when talking about the taxi scam . Stop trying to find reasons to get mad.
dumbfuck
das cuz i Africa we don't get scammed we get mugged
Popular when I was in New Orleans:
“I’ll bet you a dollar I can tell you where you got your shoes.”
“You got them on your feet.” 💸
You can add this one. When using the ticket machine in Amsterdam central station, a clean cut young person will offer to help you navigate when they see someone having trouble. They look so innocents do grab your credit card from the machine so fast, acting as if they want to help, that most people don't even question it.
They then swipe your card on their leg, as if to clean it, but they've got a scanner in their pant leg that takes your info.
Wallet on the floor ?
First reaction be like
free dollars
There's another scam where as soon as you take guy1 come sand tells you to share the small amount of money inside with him, one you put the money in your pockets guy2 comes saying that's his wallet so you have to return the money then I don't remember but I think they take all the money in Ur wallet saying it's all his
The only country in South East Asia that you don't have to worry about Cops stealing your money is Singapore, as they're laws are so strict, they aren't corrupt like their neighboring countries.
I'm from Singapore.
been there very very nice and clean place :)
Gurkha_Gaming Duhh Singapore is an exception in the region.
Here in Canada, and I'm sure many other places, the most annoying scam is the dreaded "Tip".
If you enter a bar, restaurant, take a cab, order food and much much more.
You'll be shamed into tipping.
and if you don't, your gauranteed to get some shit service.
I've seen people change their attitudes at the snap of a finger over a tip. it's disgusting.
Thanks you so much +list25 !! This saved me so much money, I'll make sure to share this with all my friends!!
I thought the panhandlers in America were bad. Damn, I'm never going to Europe!
bigjonfaulkner awww that's no reason to avoid Europe? :). Just be careful when you go :) ~ Juan
Britain ain't got musch scam
Much
This is a complete exaggeration, this'll never happen to you
Jake Deane
There is a guy on CZcams that travels all over the world and makes videos about the good and bad parts of visiting each country. He confirms that panhandling and pickpocketing are worse in much of Europe than in the USA.
This is why I always carry a glock.
Lol
+Ultimate5926 1 this is why I always carry bleach
well thats good and all, but good luck shooting the guy who just pickpocket your wallet, and your gun
KawasakiRider - as if a thug or banger gives a fuck about where he carries his weapon. Retainer holster or not. C'mon man, Only good people concern themselves with laws.
Weeaboo fakju and u glock
The CD thing happened to my dad in Hollywood, I just gave the con a dollar and laughed on my way home, his look of disappointment was gold
i chased down a guy that took my wallet when i cought up to him there was another 2 with him one of them pulled out a knife (big mistake a carry with me a .38 super auto ) well the guy still had the balls to try and stab me so my first couple of shots hit hes legs (im not a killer so i dint shoot to kill) after hes buddies scratched the walls trying to jump the walls haja it still makes me lough (the guy got 8 years he was actually wanted for armed robbery and car theft ) scammers watch it
+rodo chavez What the hell is this story? You just got mugged but fought back. Where is the scam in that? When is a tourist going to pack a .38 caliber?
+furenaef ...and get charged for second degree murder -.-
Simon Martin Uh... 'Murica?
I call BULLSHIT on this one.
Number 3 happened last year to me my home was only 45 minutes away from the airport and the guy took us on a 3 hour road trip. Fun!
Cruser Power OH no, that sucks! - Juan
Damn, this makes you not wanna travel anywhere xD
I know right
or, don't talk to anyone at all. mind your business. just do you
U don't say to someone "free massage" then give a FREE sample then ask for money ... Huh when that happens some1 will get a black eye
Really interesting video, I've encountered many of these attempts and fallen victim to a couple on my travels. One other scam I've come across at home is a guy jumping in front of your car at a set of lights and washing your screen, then demanding payment.
the cd thing in nyc is true. i took one to be nice n they wouldn't take it back cause they already handed to me so i gave him a dollar coin which was really a chuckie cheese coin.
Scammed the scammer; lol.
you honestly could've just walked away they can't do anything
I don't know if I feel like service-begging is a scam. It's basically either begging or extortion under threat of violence. It's usually an indicator that I'm in the wrong area.
Thanks for the information & advices
"Buy my mixtape"
🔥
No! I smell scam on that mixtape. Lol XD
They tried do this to me when I visited NY too lol, He took the CD back when I said I wasn't giving him money, then called me racist.
+Jethro Piano you see the scam isn't that there's no music it's just that the mix is shit
Basically don't trust anyone
My life motto.
+Techmical Trust is earned. So far I've let 3 people earn my trust. These scammers shouldn't have enough time to earn your trust.
+Max McTabish wise
+Techmical Don't trust anyone and use basic, common sense. If you are going away on a trip overseas, don't take anything that is offered to you. Politely decline the offer, and walk away. For the pick-pocketing, I would carry a fake wallet or two with me, and wear a light jacket that would have an inside pocket, where I could keep my wallet, that way IF I am pick-pocketed, they get a fake wallet lol.
+movie0007 "Money belt" under your clothing for passport, most cash, etc.
When whe went on a school trip to paris and visited the mont matre there where alot of people trying to tie a string around your finger and then charge too cutt it loose because they tie it really tight
***** they where trying to distract you by just casually talking to you.
***** yeah whe walked around with a big circle but i saw alot of poor suckers with ties around their finger XD.
richard51198 That's basically assault. Someone tries to tie anything around any body part of me or my family and they are getting knocked the fuck out.
richard51198 and that is why I always keep a pocket knife with me.
I always carry my shotgun with me, I would have blew all of them to smithereens.
With those usually rigged games you'll find next to no rigged ones in Covent garden in London. It's where a lot of street performers do all sorts from magic shows to stunts to live music. They have to get permission to perform there and usually if they do something on the side of the game it's most likely not a scam.
Something else worth noting is that on beaches(I've seen this mainly in Spain) you'll see someone with a hat or blanket for money in front of a seemingly amazing sand sculpture. These sculptures are fake and they don't allow anyone to go near it as if you touched it you'd realise it's plastic covered in sand. They'll have water pumps and they'll throw sand on it to make people think they made it. It's best to ignore them.
This is very helpful thanks i will consider these when i go on holiday/vacation
I think he means route when he says rout. There's a big difference.
It can be pronounced either way. ~Mike
Route and rout are actually two different words.
+Dave Kane he knows that u idiot he's saying it can be pronounced (I don't mean to be hostile just annoyed)
Depending on how you pronounce it, it's a different word. If you are pronouncing it the wrong way, you are saying the wrong word.
I like how I'm an idiot for being the one that knows something.
Just came home from a tour of Italy. Shit's very popular over there, especially in city markets and main tourist spots. Sometimes they offer you things relevant to the situation you're in: the moment it starts raining, they'll be out there selling umbrellas and raincoats. Their new craze, for some reason, is selling really shitty selfie sticks. Sure, that doesn't sound all that bad, but they're fucking relentless. They'll shove it in your fucking face and won't yield even if you say no. If you'll allow me to be a little politically incorrect, It's never the actual locals scamming you- It's the Gypsies and Africans. Italy is beautiful and the people are always warn and friendly, but scammers are rampant in almost all of the major cities (less so taxi scammers), so be aware of your surroundings, so that you will be able to enjoy your time without losing all of your belongings.
omerlord0 Hey! Me 2!! I love Tour of Italy, I get it every time I go to Olive Garden.
***** Actually I toured Northern Italy. Mostly Milano.
***** Mr. Bean? haha
Just got back from Italy too and the gypsies are relentless! Everywhere you turn you're getting a stupid selfie stick shoved in your face. I think it's nice how they aren't any longer begging with a cup in your face (though some old ladies still are) but still, I wonder where all those guys are getting that stuff from.
You are leaving out key facts. If the poor don't have money they can get a job. I know that sounded cold hearted, but it's the truth. Obamacare is fucking shit. Obamacare does not let us choose what our taxes are used for. The taxes may be used for something you don't support, like abortion. Republicans give us choice, and if we make bad choices and end up on the street, that's our fault. Obama tried to make it illegal for kids to get the large drinks at gas stations. Why? Because parents apparently don't know how to keep kids from getting fat. Obama is like PETA, they try yo ban ridiculous things for even more ridiculous reasons.
Great video ! Thank you for the tips!
Why am I watching this a week before school, I'm not even going anywhere
When you are in Boston, NEVER pay those guys that are wearing brown clothes and think they are homeless. They have a card saying they are part of a foster house somewhere in india.
you again xD peace?
+Toxcique Wtf
the common technique is just distraction by asking for purchase of an item or offering help and another pick pocket comes to take your stuff. the easiest way to avoid is leave when they start talking and be aware of who is beside you as much as possible. another technique is asking you to hold an item and then demand purchase which you should just decline holding on at all. no way a normal person will approach you out of everyone to hold something or give you something. even a paper flyer, they can charge you.
thank you very informative
I've travelled all over the world but picked up a few new tips here. great thanks
why would they demand payment if they already pick-pocket the guys wallet after cleaning something?
Well... You are right, that's just really stupid of them if they did.
In Romania, no 25 is used to snatch a purse too :) They go open air bars to offer roses and try to steal a phone on the table or a purse hanging on a chair :)
Serial Killers Documentaries in Europe
Serial Killers Documentaries lel

That cuckoo name
Never happened to me there :)
Me and my friends were sat down and this boy about 3 years older than us was sat down doing something, he then had a bucket and was giving paper roses out and saying have a great day. How sweet ^-^
"Demand payment" if you massage me when I saw no and insist I pay you, your in for an ass kicking 😂😂😂
You're*
"The old woman" happened to me, surprising information is that, until that moment, all of her teeth where natural.
Lol
lmao
you forget the youtube scammer that promises to inform you about some scams and instead hes wasting your time with BS
that moment when u can't afford to travel but still watch it anyways
Thanks for the ideas
im a Uber LOL thanks for the shout out mate
LOL
LOL
Here in the Philippines it might not seem like a scam but it is. Kids will approach you asking for spare change but in reality their parents / 'master' are the ones that are gonna benefit from it.
+Eliseo Villar same in romania
That's everywhere
+Eliseo Villar I don't know about other places, but in Sacramento in 2015 there was a sudden popularity for professional beggars to specifically ask for 86 cents for bus fare. It's like there's a beggars union instructing their members what to ask for. I guess that request might get them a dollar since most people would not spend a lot of time fishing around in purse or pocket counting out exact change that was asked for by the beggar. The problem with that tactic is, is that too many beggars were asking for that same amount for "bus fare" :-) and too many beggars suddenly wanted to take the bus. It's not even what bus fare costs.
That happens a lot in Mexico, too.
+Eliseo Villar happens in other countries too
Another common one, especially in Italy; a group of people will be 'camped up' in a busy car park, watching for tourists coming and going. Once someone parks, they approach them and offer them something to buy, usually tissues or sun screen (something actually useful). If they buy the item, they can guarantee that their car and its belongings will still be there when they return. Refuse the item and, well, good luck.
My step father, whilst in Italy, witnessed a group of children vandalising someones car. They hadn't bought a little packet of tissues that one of the guys was selling. So they paid the price.
The massage one is easy to avoid, just claim that since you initially refused, they have to pay you for touching your body without permission, or face assault charges. It sounds crazy, but people have been sued for not giving notice to robbers of alarms. So I think it will work.
I scammed some noob his dragon longsword and 100k once
Lord Ethan I finally found you! Give my Dragon Longsword and 100K gold coins back! Or I will report you to the mod!
Too bad i rekt him with my d claw abyssal whip combination then took it all then donated it all to a fish
Ryan Ly Fish, Fish EVERYWHERE!!!!
To sum up, don't blindly feel so important and cool if someone acts too nice to you; there will be some shady reason for their generosity towards you. Always be on the guard!
lmao! somebody tried to do the broken camera thing to me in paris... i pepper sprayed him and yelled "help this stranger is trying to pick pocket me" and the guy got arrested 😂😂 best day ever
#27: Take a taxi at the Panama airport. The driver asks if you want the ride with or without air conditioning? It's very hot. He charges extra $5 for the air conditioning!
I was certain that some would be from America, but happy that there are very few scammers
qwertyerthanyou The American version is just armed robbery. No scam. Just point the gun and "demand payment"
Probably because if you approached an American you would have 6 "warning shots" in your back.
Bloodbath and Beyond At least we can conceal carry here...
Roshireu I live in Florida. Enough said.
Oh no there are a lot of American scammers because a lot of Americans are ass hats
And before you get mad yes I'm american
Two that got me in BKK: the "unlit taxi, 1000 Bht to 100 Bht switch-a-roo (they look similar except for size) and the "damaged (pre-damaged) jet ski scam"....."give me thousand baht or I call police" ! Lesson learned: Verbalize firmly the amount of money I am handing over, especially in the dark and thoroughly check things before I rent them !!
when you realise its autumn near winter and you still don't know what to do with your life .
In Milan an African man started putting a colorful string around my wrist when I wasn't paying attention. He wouldn't let go of me and I asked him if it was free. He said "yes it's free man it's free dont worry." Then he was charging me 1 Euro! I said no thanks but he wouldn't let go of me because he already tied the bracelet around my wrist! He bumped up the price to 5 Euros and had to give him that for him to let go of me! I was afraid he might do something if I didn't "pay up." 5 Euros for a piece of string! Smh...
GreyCloud I would have knocked him out in self-defense. Cause firstly he grabs you without your consent and he persists, so it's considered assault.
GreyCloud lol excactly. I also had an african man do that to me in Milan. At the duomo. When he asked for the money I said: "No man you said it was for free goodbye" and I then went on and walked away while being stared down by his friends and him, but I'm 2 meters tall so I think they might have been to afraid to beef.
Same thing happened to me in Athens.
XDlosDominicans peddfast
After that, I kinda regretted not doing anything because I had to give up 5 Euros for a piece of string :(
peddfast
It happened to me at the Duomo too!!! It was my first stop for my European trip! I got off a sub train and was going up a flight of stairs where the Duomo was. I was recording everything with my GoPro and that's when the man started tying the string around my wrist!
