Its incredible that this song is over 50 years old and is as relevant today, maybe more so, as it was in the 60s. Dylan remains the greatest rock songwriter ever

The only reason this song is only remembered 57 years later is cause it was only wrote 57 years ago. I can guarantee that this song along with Blowin in the wind and Hard rains gonna fall, I shall be released, Forever Young and many other classic Dylan songs will be remembered many hundreds of years from now just as Shakespeare is today. Apart from The Beatles I can't think of too many other songs or artists apart from maybe Elvis and Sinatra will be remembered but they didn't write any songs.

That’s exactly the same feeling I had ! Pitchfork got it wrong , very wrong on this album of Morrisey. Not sure why these critics are always so paranoid and too much cerebral. Well, who cares after all. Actually they set a benchmark. As you said, if they don’t like it, that mean I’m gonna like it ! And often viceversa as well 😎

A haunting cover of this Bob Dylan classic! Gives me the chills every time I listen. As in the "All Along the Watchtower" cover by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, this is the definitive version. The seriousness of the lyrics demands a lower baritone voice than Dylan's nasal tenor one in the original. The Irish vibe only makes it more dramatic.

This is disgusting. It's Morrissey celebrating a white martyr who assassinated a black civil rights hero. The only lines he probably cares about are the final ones, comparing Evers' being deservedly buried with the accolades due a civil rights reformer and his assassin's being buried ignominiously, as befits a murderer, and member of a terrorist hate group (the KKK). Both were veterans of the Second World War. I really don't know what Bob Dylan was after by including the last verse in the first place. I think he had made his point, plus the assassin was twice excused by hung juries in the '60s, free until 1994, when he was finally re-tried and convicted. With a life, not a death, sentence.
