I love my DUROMAX 440cc motor, starts every time and I haven't had a single issue.
Was just looking at the 440. Was planning on running the 6.8 pump. Super excited to start this build!

hey guys what about a build with the new Duromax 500cc would it hold with an 8gpm??
Besides that Allison pump which i looking at what other pumps would u recommend for this 18hp engine
What unloader are you uaing with the allison pump?
Have you tried to Duromax 500cc or the Predator 459?
What’s PSI do you get with the 6.8gpm on the 440?
Hey boss, was thinking about using this motor for a softwash gas build. You have any recommendations on what pump would be compatible with it for pulling chem out of a tank? I’m not very knowledgeable on certain pumps etc. but definitely wanting to use this for a softwash build
We used the 7hp Duromax with an AR45 pump on a build once and it worked very well. Do a lot of research on the pump you want to use first and also ask yourself truthfully do you need the gas pump. They are high maintenance and can be very touchy. Also if you run bleach through them the warranty is gone. If you want to discuss the options I don’t build them anymore but would be happy to discuss the pros and cons with you.

Any thoughts about making a belt drive version?
I personally am not a fan of belt drive but it would work no problem in my opinion

Hey buddy I could really use your help. I’m debating buying this motor but I can’t figure out whether or not my triplex 4 gallons per minute pressure washing pump would be compatible with this machine.. I’m looking to get the 440cc engine.
Any pumps that take a 1" shaft will bolt to the 420 and the 440cc Duromax Engines

Yes you can. We have run the 420 engines with both the gear driven pumps and with the Comet 4040

Is this a 6.8 gpm pump or is that the flow you get because of the gearbox. I figured it was a 6.3 and the gearbox gave it another .5 gpm
It is actually a 5.6 and the gearbox takes it to the 6.8
Just got mine and it is WAY too loud. It sounds like it is going to blow up. Substantially louder than any other engine I have heard. Is yours that loud ?
No mine isn’t quiet but it isn’t any louder than any other engine
With the 440 n 6.3 gpm pump from envirospec what would the psi be.
If I recall correctly it is around 3500psi

What PSI are you getting out of the 440 and the 6.8?
We get about 3200 psi out of the 440 with the 6.8.
Have you guys tried the 713?
We have not. Plan to try one out in the future for an 8GPM setup but haven't yet. Will post a video when we do.

Can I bolt on a 4000 psi Cat pump to this engine and get a true 4000 psi ?
Probably but you would need to look at the pump specs and see what hp the specs are rated for

You will have no issues running these engines balls to the wall for hours upon hours. They will stack right up next to any Honda.
These things run like a dream man I love it!
Duromax are American made and designed. For that reason alone i will continue to buy duromax only.

I cant get my key ignition to start. All it does is click. New engine.
Contact Duromax it’ll be under warranty. If it starts with the pull cord I’d say there is probably a connection issue either between the battery and the switch or the switch and the starter. Also try a different battery. Other than that I’m sure they can help resolve it for you.
I see you mentioned in the comments you see about 3200 psi with the duromax 440. Have you done a flow test?
I have not done a flow test with the 440. I did one with the 420 and that came out at 5 gallons in 42 seconds. I’ll do a video on the bucket test come spring.
