Who are we? Where are we going?
Cosmonautics Day is a good time to ask such questions. All of humanity is looking for answers to them, paving the way into space. We "the knights of our time are also looking for them
Four steel warriors ventured to tell about themselves something that is usually trusted only by the closest. How did their path to HMB begin? What drives them in battle and in life? Who inspires them not to surrender under the harshest blows?
Andrey Kiselyus, Roman Baranas, Alexander Nadezhdin and Stepan Pimenov told about this frankly and unedited- just as it is.
The WMFC team presents a new documentary about the movement of steel people "HMB. Iron Sport." It is a special honor for us to hold the premiere today - on the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space and on the birthday of Elena Nasekina, who put soul and all great talent into this film!
It's time to lift the visor, look deep into yourself and show the HMB to the world from the unknown side.

Wow, this looks like fun! I've never heard of this event before - Are you expanding globally or does this sport only exist in Russia currently?

it is global. Basicaly every country have a team or two. ) America, Europe, Asia. The biggest tournament is Battle of the Nations ( there is videos of it on CZcams)

Has there ever been any implementation of long range weapons like a bow & arrow?

@@dist0rt3deyes no :) Becouse the rules say that you can continue fighting until you fall or touch the ground with 3rd part of your body. And "weapons" are blunt and metal. So implementation of bows will not work or can be dangerous if shot in not protected areas. So just full contct MMA melee (+grappling) is used. But you are free to choose the weapon... except spears( rules dont allow poking :) only slashing blows.)

Are you in the USA, Nico? There are many teams across the country. Of course only one team of the best of us to fight in the International HMB tournament in this video. A lot of us try to be on that team. A lot are perfectly content fighting only in the US. Some just do it on occasion and have no goals other than just to have fun. In the USA it is also co-ed. There are so many events in the US, although notably much much smaller, but regardless you are most likely within 3 hours of your local team. Look them up to watch an event... or try it out yourself. It costs nothing to get started. Two main leagues in the US are: Armored Combat Sports and Armored Combat Worldwide. Find them on FB etc. We typically use the term Armored Combat here too if that helps you dive deeper into this sport. Have a good one!
