With a set up like "don't bring a TV to the movie theater", you'd expect a skit where people are watching an emotional part of a movie, and then Spongebob's laugh cuts in, ruining the moment. They shush him, and Guava Juice tells them to be quiet while he's watching cartoons. It's not the funniest skit, but it's at least a setup, build up, and punchline. That's the bare bones of comedy. But what do we get instead?

Thinking about this actually robbed me of a little sleep last night. If you said write me a sketch involving a TV, a movie theater, and a baseball bat, my brain would have gone: "So a guy is there watching a movie in a theater, and there's a person who has bafflingly decided to bring his own television set and is watching it, so the first guy in a fit of rage breaks it with a bat so he can watch his movie in peace." It's not a good sketch, but it makes sense narratively. Then there's Guava Juice's sketch..it defies any expectation I had, so I feel like it should be funny, but....here we are.

That directing joke made me mad because it’s _almost_ funny. Yes it doesn’t really make sense in the setting, but it’s so close to being a joke he just need to expand on it and he didn’t.
