To this day I don't understand the result of this fight. Erik Morales was absolute dominator of the whole fight, always putting his boxing first, David Diaz's few moments were when he hugged or crashed into him, a dirty boxing.

Great fight. Not sure about the decision though. Although I've had family in Chicago for generations, Morales is one of my favorites to watch... So crafty. He should have the name El Zorrrrrrrrooooo. 😄💪

After watching this fight I can't believe at Diaz won it. May be me but I watched it 4 times one ater the other and you can see it shows on Diaz's face.
In modern boxing the aggressor usually gets the benefit of the doubt. But Morales had the sharper punches. He had the technique. Diaz only comes forward and swings wildly. He misses a lot of punches. He comes in with his head up and his hands down. Diaz showed me a lot of heart and guts but I didn't see a good game plan. I didn't see EFFECTIVE aggression. I just saw wild aggression. I didn't see clean punching from Diaz. I certainly didn't see any defense. This is why boxing has a bad name. You get a great fight like this and the judges drop the ball. Morales had the clean effective punching. He was counter Punching. Morales looked great fighting while he was backing up (i didnt know morales could even fight backing up). He was using Diazs aggression against him. He fought the perfect fight and he lost. I love boxing and stuff like this pisses me off.

2 injustices in this fight: -a washed up Morales gave a boxing lesson to Diaz who began to win the last 30 seconds of each round from the 6th boxing in Maidana's style but the judges forgot that each round is long 3 minutes and screwed Morales who deserved to win 116/111 -this fight should have been 2007 Fight of the year because of the technical level and intensity

The fifth round has just ended. I can see Morales having already secured a draw on account of the knockdown in the first round. As of this point in the fight, other then the time prior to that 1st rd knockdown, Morales has been in control of this fight and has, hands-down, clearly outboxed, out-fought, and totally out skilled Diaz as well.

Hearing is really different from watching/seeing, before I thought Diaz won against and morales and I was shocked and also amaze how amazing Diaz is, because only by hearing. Not that I saw the fight and results, it seems like a robbed. Diaz only learned his lesson when he fought Manny. As I watched this fight, it almost feel like the same way and fighting style of horn vs Pacquiao
Morales was stingy with the body punching, so Diaz never lost his forward momentum. He might be wild and clumsy but that hyperaggressiveness creates the impression that he's dictating the pace of the fight. If nothing else, Diaz was probably rewarded for ring generalship.
This was a real fight and I think both deserve a big aplaude
