Stand up Comedian Jay Mohr performs live at Kevin and Bean's Aprilfoolishness on April 2010. Mohr tells the story of him being high on acid (LSD) with his friend Marty.
I concur, but the only time I took Acid it went from "this aint shit" to "why is everyone in this bar staring at me?" Then I laid in my bed watching the clock for 7 hours never taking my eye off the clock wondering why it hasn't changed only to find out that one of my "Bro's" hooked up an old light bright toy before I went to my room.......I though it would never end. No more acid for me.
@@aszh Yea, probably. I'm the kind of person that only realizes how high I really am when I go out into public or into a really bright place. Also acid becomes more noticeable when your emotions go on a rollercoaster ride. I've only done acid three times, one tab each, and the only times I recognized that I was tripping was when people were trying to interact with me, when I had to interact with something in a really bright public area or when someone was freaking me out about him currently having an 'allergical reaction' to the acid.
I've had a delayed reaction before. Ended up double dropping and ten minutes later, the first one came on. We knew we were fcked and got the hell out of the club we were in. Ended up being the wildest night of my life. Got sucked into a mirror for three hours in my bedroom and lived eight different lives. In one I was a lizard! Good times, which this Mohr clip always reminds me of.
I did it once when I was young. For the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would do it twice. It scared the hell out of me. I felt like I had lost my mind and was never going to find it again. It lasted for what seemed an eternity. It was definitely an out of body experience that maybe some people crave. I don't. That was almost 40 years ago and I will never forget it. I should have taken that ten bucks and bought a steak.
You know I had an experience of separating from reality completely and fell into a panicked state, I was terrified and thought I was dying. But when I realized I was physically okay and started exploring the new state of mind it turned into the most incredible experience I've ever had. That's why you hear people say you need to "let go" during the experience, which sounds like vague advice until you suddenly underdtand what it meant
@@EvilTim1911 I hear you. I just couldn't let go. I was scared the entire time, except that hour when I laughed at a doorknob. I honestly laughed at a doorknob for quite some time. I knew I was silly for finding a doorknob so damn funny, but I couldn't stop laughing at it.
around that time i did a hit and also thought it wasn't working.. the only memory i have is that i was staring at a sega dreamcast and wondering if the person who's house i was at goes to sleep inside the actual console because it kept looking bigger.. and yet i felt like it wasn't working heh. i think it's probly a good thing acid has gone out of style.
It used to sneak up on me like that; I'd wonder if it was working, I'd go in the bathroom and I'd notice in the mirror that I was smiling like The Joker... ;)
When I was on acid once, I got mad at a tree because it was being all smug at me.
Went back and apologised an hour later for being a douche...
that tree accepted your apology haha
the plants are the judges and the animals the lawyers
Either that's bs or you went full on psychotic while you were tripping
Superb clip. The 1990s, when the walls breathed.
Deadset, the best set I've ever watched. Brilliant story teller.
Jay mohr is a story teller. Epic

why the fuck are they laughing at 5:50? what he is saying is just beautiful. it's not meant to be funny

+Teo Ntalakos Because the vast majority don't understand what that means. So they just laugh.
Walking up stairs on flat ground while the sky drips down on you....1985 untouched Goldstar blotter acid, two squares!!!
it sucks that its so short! I could listen to this story unfold all night
Acid never takes that long to kick in. The first tabs definitely weren't dosed.
It wasn't acid it was a research chemical. Probably Nbome
Maybe they kicked in
They just didn't feel it
Acid can hide in the background sometimes for a while until you realise you're tripping
