    This is a great tutorial, thank you for taking your time to do it. I would suggest to spray your waterslides first then cut them out. Your spay sealed the edges of the slide, that's why you had a hard time getting it to release... But you did a fantastic tutorial i definitely learned something i did not know.😊

    I watched till the end. I think that the amount of spray coats was excessive. You didn't have enough play in the final decal. I did not think the music in the back ground was distracting. I enjoyed your video. I learned allot!!😊

    Nice video. Just some hints. The reason your slide is sticking is because when you sprayed it sealed the edges, so you do need to trim around the image to cut the seal off. The Plastic Dip isn't needed unless using a large waterslide. It makes it stronger & allows it to stretch some. Making any paper easier to work with. Lose the background music, it's not needed & is distracting.

    The best advice you can give anyone is TO WEAR A FDA APPROVED MASK.We only get one set of lungs. I wanted to say this in one of your other videos where you talked about a mask being optional, but you had comments turned of. Please don’t give out bad advice.

    I have seen so many videos on this technique and you have explained this very well why the white paint is needed

    Lol I only ever had issues getting mine off when I cut first then sprayed

      Always seal then cut. Hence the word sealing spray. Seals the edges that you cut also.

    What if I didn’t mirror the waterslide? Will this work?

    Yeah, you're way more patient than me, I would have given up. It did come out nice.

    Thank you! I have never thought of reversing the image and putting white paint on the underside. Der! I was painting the white directly on the figure which often required a lot of guess work. I was looking for a better way and you enlightened me! (I was looking at CZcams trying to see if I could get away with layering decals, painting the white on the surface in between! 😆) I’m going to try the way you demonstrated instead right now! 🙂🙃 How long do you think I have to let the paint dry? I’m on crunch time! Thanks for the video!

    I bought a waterslide by accident and I have never used one but after watching your tutorial i don't know if your way will work because the way they sent it to me it's not mirrored, so how do I work that?🙏🏼🙏🏼

    If you would seal and plastic dip the entire sheet first then cut out your image because doing it like this you are sealing your edges with the clear coat and plastic dip that is why you are having to remove it that away just a little trick I learned from doing this method hooe that helps hunny

    Always trim after you seal, so you don't have this problem sliding it off the sides can seal that's why she was having problems with it.

    It's easier if you slide the outside off. Slide down then you won't have as much of a hard time. I only do one layer of clear semi good for my ink jet. Keep at it. It will get better

      I cut too close before sealing... I should've left some space so I can trim it. So the edges got stuck together.

  • @amyboyd8831
    @amyboyd8831 Před 3 lety +4

    You put way to many layers on there and that's why it stuck. You should have only 1 layer of clear, 2 layers of the other clear and 1 layer of white paint. You basically glued it together when putting so many layers on after cutting it.

      If she did it mirrored, why would it matter how many layers she did if the painted part isn't what is being removed? What am I missing?

    • @3toughcookiesdesign381
      @3toughcookiesdesign381  Před 2 lety

      I have tried doing less layers and my waterslides still bled... the mistake I made was cutting prior. Usually I don't cut this close but for this image I did lol. The other waterslides I would normally trim a little after sealing to get the exact cut I wanted. 🤷🏽‍♀️ live and learn 😂

    cool. so if you hadnt sprayed it white, the white faces would have been black (the colour of the tumbler) then?..correct?

    how can the water slide stuck to the tumbler if the paint is the part that is on contact with it not the actual water slide?

      I honestly don't have the answer for that 😂 but whenever I do this I feel like that part is still a little slimy and it doesn't fall off

    hate to say this: But boy does this ever look terrible. Why is everyone using Water Slide decal on Tumblers? It is literally the only object every Diy content creator posts about!

  • @daetronbeverage-sanders5348

    One coat of each would've been enough, good lord. You made vinyl basically lol 🤷🏽‍♂️. Nice cup though 👌
