Did they lose it or just want to move on? I prefer MotorStorm and DriveClub anyway personally (especially MotorStorm, Apocalypse was so underated and sent out to die because of everything going on with the Tsunami in Japan at the time)
Them closing down did suck, they did get "Saved" though by CodeMasters and released OnRush which was just absolute wank imo 🤣

@@itsaPIXELthing i just bought this the other day from cash converter for the sum of 99 english pennies and i was very impressed with this 19 year old game.
My uncle Martin was CEO until 2006 then the company was sold the development team left with him hence why the quality of the game diminished then they ventured into vr with vtime

@@MrRhysReviews thats because he sold the company then because of that sale he had to stay away from making games for 7 years , it was a clause Sony put in but was well worth it
I loved WRC 2 Extreme. I used to play it with friends or family members. Rocking hard with the intro and the theme ost. Taking the mountain pass with them most possibilities to crash down and setting up two rules. You must crash alteast at every possible drop of the mountain and the car must be completly damaged.

WRC 2 Extreme is so much fun with a wheel and seat . Haven’t tried the later ones but that was so good .
It makes me sad that wrc 2 to rally evolved we're only released in Europe. As an American I truly feel I was missing out on what I think is possibly one of the best rally games ever. I'm 24 now and only just am getting to experience rally evolved. Though I did enjoy v-rally and dirt I really think rally evolved was a true rally swan song for the ps2. Still to this day it's graphics and handling impress me. To me it might just be the best rally game on the ps2 to date. Just a shame that I never got to experience it. Especially what I think is most saddening is rally games don't even have the emotion it did. The random events being some of the coolest thing in a rally game as well as the co driver acknowledging not only how you drive but the incidents and the crashes. The first time I heard my co say "see you at the pub later fellas" made me smile because it makes you feel you are driving with someone and not just some robot in the passenger seat only there to give orders. Truly a legendary game and a hidden gem to me as an American.
Rally Evolved is, indeed, amazing :) Those random events and casual conversations really bring a whole new level to that amazing experience.

The Milestone series was fun also 😍 I had WRC 3 on PS3 version is the most fun rally game that I've ever played

I only played Colin McRae 1 and 2 and V-Rally in the old days, CM2 was my favourite then I should really try some of the latest rally games.
These are awesome games! The 4th and 5th are the ones to get ;)

we are in the year 2022 and today I just bought it again for myself Playstation 2. Beautiful game.....he has nothing to envy Colin mcrae.

I really want to play some of the latest rally games but I'd rather play through the older ones first. I have all of the WRC games for the PS2 except for 4 I think, I'm currently playing WRC II Extreme and I'm enjoying it a lot.
They just had to pretend Colin McRae doesnt exist in this world.

I've only played the first one but I think it looks to best to me. I might try the others anyway though, especially Rally Evolved.
At least, try the 4th one and Evolved ;)
Evolved can be enjoyed online again - as easy as putting in disc and powering up even on original hardware - and 4 will if 4 has a DNAS workaround patch applied to the ISO. 👍
I remember my dad getting the first WRC game for us here in the US.
No wonder I never got the other games because only that first one was released here, really car driving was always a bit niche around here, same with F1 at the time

muito bom,representaste bem a serie,por acaso nunca me aprofundei muito na serie,fui jogando um bocado aqui,outro ali :D,ainda tenho de arranjar o 4 pra minha coleção,e tentar me dedicar mais á serie,gosto principalmente por tar totalmente em Portugues ;) muito obrigado pelas boas memorias e muito bom video ;) Grande Abraço Pedro!
Eu fui jogando praticamente à medida que foram saindo. Só o 1º é que joguei muito mais tarde. Aliás, foi o último da série que arranjei ;) Jogava em paralelo com os jogos da franquia Colin McRae Rally, mas nesta faltava realmente o aspeto mais puro do WRC: o Campeonato, as provas e os carros oficiais. Era isto que me atraía na série WRC da Evolution Studios. Terminei os campeonatos em cada um deles por diversas vezes ao longo dos anos, uma vez mais, à exceção do primeiro jogo. Este só o terminei uma vez e é, realmente, o mais fraquinho de todos. O 2º é um pouco estranho. Parece que os carros andam demais e respondem demasiadamente bem aos comandos.. não sei explicar. Já o 3º, 4º e o Evolved são qualquer coisa de fenomenais! Adoro os 3 últimos!

Hi does the night driving it is only in wrc 2 ? and there is some settings to enable night maps for wrc 3 or 4 i never seen the night driving on that

Gran giochi su ps2 mi manca solo il WRC 3. Penso a quanto mi sono divertito e mi diverto ancora ora. Peccato che gli ultimi WRC non abbiano più il parco macchine da divertirsi come anni 90... Adesso o guidi una Yaris ,una Puma,una Hyundai ...o una Skoda.....per piacere . Che ritornino le Subaru le Citroen le Peugeot , la Fiat....

Good look at these thanks. Animals on the road & crashed drivers is really cool don't see that now sadly even if real/fake in the season or certain groups/test runs or something. Rven if fake and never happened is still cool foe the game I think adds detail then welp their pros or well lower group drivers so irs bound to happen. That or something like regular deivers rven if the courses usually I assume gove the memo of hey we have a WRC rvent here through you roads in this part of town/city/offroad (and shadows on the bridge XD).
Even if pros it's not something you expect in these gamds as a detail at all yet I appreciate they included it its a cool toych real or fake to happen I'm fine with it existing as a feature.
Kind of gives me vibes of the distraction bar in Juiced/R Racing. Which I never minded either for Juiced sure it's street racing but R Racing they are apparently pros scared by a ambulance driver..... Doesn't make much sense and them being theown off can be awkward/no helpful then helpful but oh well. For the sake of a they are being theown off on how you drive fven if it is a bar and fills up anyway then how you actually frive in tight roada sometimes so there isn't much of anywhere to go/fake them out to be more accurate to that kind of effect.
I have to get around to WRC2 Extreme, otherwise only have the PSP entry then WRC Rally Evolved for a 2005 era entry so not yhe same but still. Just sucks my disk was GT4 (which I already own don't need a second copy) in the case so have to work out if the store has the actual game or they misplaced it.
Still playing MotorStorm/DriveClub is something but WRC games by Evolution studios is another to go even further back to games I never played or don't remember.
Did Colin McRae 2003-2005, I don't remember if did WRC4 or Rally Evolved and the oldest I own now is WRC2 on 360 (until I work out my 2 Extreme copy situation). I don't mind Milestone 's work of 2 & 4 but Kylotonn. i don't know about their entries or Codemasters.

Eu também adoro a série e, mesmo hoje em dia, continuo a voltar atrás e jogá-los todos ;) O único que nunca consegui ter bons resultados foi o 2º jogo. Acho-o uns pontos acima em relação aos restantes no que toca a dificuldade.

WRC 4 is very special for me
O terceiro jogo é o meu preferido, tanto a handling dos carros quanto as etapas são excelentes. Gosto bastante do 4 também, mas sinto que com o Evolved, muita coisa bem feita nos jogos anteriores se perdeu. De qualquer forma, todos os jogos são excelentes e muito melhores que os que viriam a ser lançados para o PS3.
Sim, sem dúvida. O Evolved perdeu muito conteúdo, apesar de ter ganho em interação durante os percursos, como animais na estrada, incêndios, carros avariados, etc. Grande abraço! Obrigado por assistires!

What is the difference between WRC 4 and WRC Evolved?(greeting from lisbon!🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹)
WRC 4 tem o campeonato de WRC completo, com vários troços em cada um. O Evolved é melhor graficamente e com elementos inesperados na estrada (carros avariados, animais, incêndios), mas peca pela inferior quantidade de etapas em cada rally ;)

WRC 3 is a good rally game, but 4 and Evolved are indeed better.
Great series on Ps2. I still play each of those games once in a while. Too bad the 3rd one was kind of a step back graphics wise (an overall emptiness in the tracks scenarios, low details, lots of jaggies and shimmering).
The game was "rehlized"...
