  • This tutorial video explains how to set up your RadioMaster TX16S as a controller for the Liftoff drone simulator.
I purchased my TX16S from the Flying Robot Co in Cape Town. This is not an affiliate link but I want to share where you can get yourself a RadioMaster TX16S in South Africa.

    Thanks for watching.

Also I dont know if anyone knows but the 8 in 1, 20 in 1 sims you can get off eBay work perfect with the radio also by just plugging it into the DSC port on the top of the radio. I noticed the the (mono TS) cord that comes with those type sims dont work. I had to use a (stereo TRS) cord and it works fine.

    Hey Bill.
I just started using Liftoff and I must say, it's not the same as flying a real racer. It is close but still, not the same for me.

I agree but is good for practicing especially for a beginner. Nothing replaces the real thing.

I have the TX16s with EDGETx with different menu options. Need a tutorial to get a model created and configured to use as a controller for Liftoff sim please. Cant find ANY videos on CZcams. Thanks!

Figured it out in EdgeTx. I had to do EXACTLY as Bill said and select Plane as the model. Dont know why I went rogue and tried selecting quadcopter. Thanks for the tips!!!

I have a little paradox here between setting up the TX16s and/or the Zorro to the Liftoff Simulator.
Okay to start out both do link up no problem to Liftoff. However; anyone assign functions on both controllers like, flight modes, arm/disarm for example and get them to work in Liftoff as well? The RadioMaster Zorro totally works in this area. After spending seriously over 8 to 10 hours watching CZcams video's and trying all sorts of different ideas I can assign the functions on my RadioMaster TX16s, but non of them work on the Liftoff simulator whatsoever!
Has anyone else run into this issue and solved it? Any help here in a resolution would be very grateful.

I am not sure what is happening with regards the channels. I have set up my Tx16s and the switches assign. Have you checked your mixes on the radio.

Go to OPTIONS> CONTROLS> BUTTONS> assign game actions to keys on your keyboard or buttons on your controller.

if I install bluetooth module on TX16S, would that enable bluetooth wireless connection with Windows 11 ?

Hi David, I would contact RadioMaster support to check this as I have not done this modification.

Hi Jon, your radio will not show you are connected to your computer. Are you hearing the connection tones when plugging into your computer? If not you have a driver problem.
