The happy RC flyer!
I started my CZcams channel originally to promote my passion for cycling which I still want to do but RC planes and quad copters have taken over. By nature I like to help people so I will endeavour to make content that will help people start off on their journey into RC flying and maybe even help out the old “masters” :) whilst hopefully being entertaining.
Product reviewing is also a good way of me helping my viewers make informed chooses and save their hard earned cash.
Mountain Biking is very important to me so there will be occasional videos of my cycling exploits.
Happy flying.
Go on give mountain biking a go!

Product Overview RadioMaster Boxer Crush Radio
This is my overview of the RadioMaster Boxer Crush Transmitter. Available in 7 different colours and comes with AG01 gimbals. I opted for my favourite colour green, mint mist. I feel this radio is positioned between the RadioMaster TX16s and the RadioMaster Zorro. I like the feel of the radio and it feels solidly built. The Boxer Crush is only showing availability in Express LRS versions on the website.

there should be voltage drop when you turn on the radio comparing to the measuring batteries without a load.
Yes there is so measure the voltage with the radio on just be careful not to short out the terminals.
Did Radiomaster not consider how close "crush" sounds to "crash"! Other than that looks very nice!
😂
Input 5 is armed. Thx. I was trying to figure out what I messed up.
It is always nice to hear my videos have been useful. Thanks.
Great video
Thanks so much for explaining. There does not seem to be a lot of info for fixed wing flight with the Radiomaster Pocket. Thanks for sharing!
You are very welcome.
Thanks! Been looking for this 😃
Just buy a new cover plate or paint the radio your favorite color. Are we all considered that FN LAZY wow!
Yes you could but easier to buy a new one if you are in the market for one.

👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽 Bill, I noticed that you had the tx antenna horizontally polarised, but you supported the rx antennae in the vertical. This would give you misleading results.
It will be worse case scenario so you should get better range.
how do you set failsafe? thanks
You set the failsafe in the model settings where you bound the receiver to the transmitter. Hold the sticks in the position you want them to move to in the event of a failsafe.
Doesn't work on TX16s !
It should do you have a reverse thrust ESC, if you have just check your settings.
Hi RM Pocket is connected in Liftoff Simulator and pop-up 👍 but Not working/ reacting Plz help me
If you are sure the radio is connecting to the computer and showing in Liftoff, try manually mapping and doing the calibration process in Liftoff.

I have the opposite question. How to make a servo turn 180 degrees? I have a Radiomaster Zorro, Edge TX, ELRS. The MG90S servo, Arduino turns it 180. But when connected to the receiver of the aircraft, I cannot get it to turn 180, it only turns 90, that is, 45 degrees left and 45 degrees right. Perhaps I could make it turn more, but in the transmitter settings there is an «outputs» parameter, where you can set the maximum deviations, the maximum is 150 to the left and 150 to the right, why can't I make it 200 or 250?
The servos can only move the maximum travel as supplied.
Thanks Bill for your great videos! I mostly fly quads, but just started flying RC and will be using my RM Zorro for my Durafly Tundra, so your videos made it super easy to setup my timer, rates, sounds, etc. Thanks!

If you have programmed everything ok and is your computer detecting your radio when you plug it in?
I’m having troubles setting up my LED lights to switch on and off with an aux switch on my Radiomaster pocket. Was wondering if you could offer any help? I’ve found your videos to be very helpful! Thank you!
Hi Richard, the lights are activated by the theoretical position of the servo. Could you please tell me the LEDS you have got and I will check out the manual for them and try and assist you.
Thanks, old chum! This helped me a lot setting up my first drone with the Radiomaster Boxer. Complicated job, external 4in1 module, trying to bind to a Cetus Pro. But it worked! Cheers!
Hi Bill do you know how to bind a Flysky Fgr12B to the Radiomaster TX16S
I do not think you can because it uses AFHDS3 protocol which is not supported by the Multiple Protocol Module at this time.
The latest version has a momentary switch on the flat side of the body to easy switching during flashing.
bill, i assigned my t4 trim switch as a two position switch. i go to the monitor and the ch i assigned it to shows that it is working but i also get a trim beep and the trim still moves. is there a way to disable the trim and trim beep sound?
Hi Michael, you need to goto Flight Modes in your model settings. In trims change the fourth :0 to - - or 3P beeping will stop. Please take a look at this video which explains more about trim switches it is OpenTX but still relevant today. czcams.com/video/JzShbMj_9mw/video.htmlsi=HiaNrlBCz2_j5Fa7
Bill thank you for your efforts i have finally found the frsky v on the tx 12 and i have successfully done the binding . I am using this in a three channel glider so i will be disconnecting the aeloron lead from the receiver and replacing it with the rudder lead i am using mode1 so rudder and throttle right hand elevator left see how i go thanks again
You are very welcome and good luck Neil.
My boice pack gets drowned out and quits talking when the crossfire makes the speaker buzz .
Try turning down the power and see if it still happens.
Hi my model is not the EU model. You did a video on the original TX12 fine tuning fr sky receivers. In that video you were using fr sky V8 receivers I have three of these V8 receivers I was hoping to use. I hope I can find a way of using these. But it seems it only lists D8 under fr sky in mk2
1:46
Hi Bill on this video on special functions do you have to tick each box on the last line you didn't tick the box ? I have been having a problem with motor running flat out when I disarm. When I switch to arm the throttle works as it should.
Hi Bill I have frisky V8 receivers but it seems the radio master tx12 mk2 doesn't list them it lists d16 and others. The V8 receivers were listed on the original tx12. I also have E-fly 6 channel receiver I don't know whether I can use that either?
Hi Neil, I have just checked my external Multi Protocol Module attached to my Boxer and it has FrSky D subtype D8. You may have the EU firmware which D8 as far as I understand is not available.
Neil, check all the FrSky protocols and the sub types it should be there. Have you done any firmware updates?
can you use a non radiomaster radio for the student? I am planning to use the cheap radio that comes with the eachine e120s rc heli.
As long as it has a DSC trainer port you should be ok but may have to check the channel mapping and adjust in the EdgeTX Master radio. Just check each gimbal on the student radio is activating the correct control surface on the model.
Very fine explanation regarding the display, but I cannot see in the telemetry part how to get data. It is like there is no connection and nowhere to activate the connection. I have a Turnigy TGY-iA6B Receiver 6CH 2.4G AFHDS 2A Telemetry Receiver w/SBUS and a Turnigy TGY-CVT01 Voltage Sensor. I try to search for new sensor by "Discover new" while the model is activated. Sometimes it works, but random and not often, actually I dont know what to do.....or I am doing right or the Turnigy brand is unstable.....
If you have discovered the telemetry sensors they may look like they have disappeared but click the arrow next to sensors and the list will drop down.
@@the-happy-RC-flyer Thank you for your quick response! :) Actually I have been aware opening the sensors by the arrow. Today it succeeded for me, even also with a Flysky variometer at the same time to connect, but I have a feeling that establishing the connection random needs time and often you must just close both the model and transmitter and restart. I have a feeling that the brand of Turnigy/Flysky may be a little unstable.
Although I appreciate your efforts, I am at the very beginner phase. Could you do another slower and more basic? Take a look at the Captain Drone video of a drone setup for a pace I could follow. Thanks!
Hi Tim, I will see what I can do for on going tutorial videos. Thank you for your field back.
Just what I've looked for... I'll try it tomorrow, hopefully it is still the same 3 years after haha
Yes it will be but if you have a different radio or EdgeTX radio please search my playlists.
@@the-happy-RC-flyer What should be the model on the master remote? just a copy of the student model?
The Master radio needs to be programmed for the model you are flying so if the model has flaps you will need to be able to fly the model. The student radio is just a basic model.
@@the-happy-RC-flyer got it, thanks, so far, I managed to connect one to the other wireless acting as a receiver/transmitter, but for some reason the jack cable doesn't work

Hi, you should not need to update your drivers on your radio it should work out of the box with Liftoff. Within Liftoff you can map the channels if you need to make changes. Check this video at 2 minutes for the calibration process. czcams.com/video/QeO8Ks95xyE/video.htmlsi=pjyST6QOsMkuB2Co

Oh well it only took me four hrs hopefully this time I will be quicker I will use the method for safety switch shown in this video thanks again
Hi Neil, you are never too old to learn new things I should know 😊With your three channel glider set up a standard model. Assuming your radios channel mapping is AETR plug your rudder servo into channel 1 as this is your primary steering channel. Do not plug the rudder into channel 4. EdgeTX is the same on all radios but different in terms of switch layouts and colour screens etc so can look different when programming. This is why I produce videos for the different radios. Any further help let me know.
I am a new member of a flying club undergoing training. Using mode 1 right hand throttle and aeloron and left hand rudder and elevator. What you are suggesting for three channel glider would make throttle and rudder on right and only elevator on left hand side. I can see how this would work in my case. Thank you for your help much appreciated
@@neiloxley7904 Hi Neil, if you are flying mode 1 as I do right gimbal throttle and aileron, left gimbal elevator and rudder but because you will be steering your glider with rudder only you use the aileron gimbal. You instructor should advise you to do this.

What's the difference between cc2500 and elrs, is it compatible with r86 receiver ?
