  • In this episode I review my favorite camera bags, the Domke F-2 and F-5xb. Perfect for traveling. I didn't mention in the video, but should have, that they're made in the US too!

I still use my Domke F2 that I got back in 1986. To say these bags are well built is an understatement.

The Domke F3X and F2 are some of the best camera bags ever made. I have had mine for 30 + years and they may look beat up, they fulfill their function perfectly. They were designed by a photographer, for photographers.

I agree, I used it on plane. Nikon D3s + F4 5x lenses & 2x flash I have the old bluish gray but now tan. Good enough to have a few for at home safe store in cupboard.

Love my Domke (which is pronounced Domkey like Donkey, not Domka)... I switched theDomke snaps with some snaps recycled from old dog leads which are easier to handle with one hand). BTW: the best accessory for this bag (or any over the shoulder bag) is the Domke FA-031 Post Office Style Shoulder Pad. This really makes carrying the gear easy and it doesn't slip off the shoulder...

Sir, a very informative review of the Dome products! As a Fuji X-System photographer as well, to travel light, I am considering the F-5XB to supplement the Tenba DNA 11 and ThinkTANKPhoto Urban Disguise 50 Classic that I currently use. I look forward to seeing your National Parks Trail recommendations!

As a photojournalist the F2 bag worked great back in the day with my two Nikon F2's and five lens' along with extra shirts and socks.

I have the same domke model. And it is expensive, its not watertight and it has minimal shock protection. I found Mafrotto and Lowepro bags much better for photography. But again, mostly I don't like domke for a lack of shock protection.

Oh Yeah, I have 7 of the F2 bags, and One of the F1X bag as they are very Durable!! and last I also have the Domke Satchels 3 of them in which I use those to carry my Laptops, and still I love the Domke Made in the USA, and not to say that they come in different colors, Cotton Web Canvas, Lightweight, and as for the Billinghams Made in the Jolly Old England, That They Are F*#King Expensive, and they are HEAVILY PADDED that you cannot fit most of your gear, and last that bag should have a sticker that saids "MUG ME" ... GO DOMKE MADE IN THE USA!!! I Love them...
