Fred Armisen is a pretty underrated talent. This guy is awesome, he can do anything. He's a comedian, actor, a writer, a director, producer, he can play guitar, drum, he can mimic different accents, etc. He's a very talented and well rounded artist.
His musical numbers on SNL always killed and were so diverse - Blue Jeans Committee, the hardcore band at a wedding (with Dave Grohl), the Bossa Nova (with Alec Baldwin). I could go on...All gold, and so different!
Why do you say he's underrated? Why do people always say that when he is totally not underrated.
I rate Fred Armisen so high in my heart. Jimmy too.
He can also peak around corners!

@@michaelprokop645 just something many guitar players do, that's not essential in playing the d-chord. They basically alter the chord (which is easy to do, just change one finger) to a sus chord. It's funny (not as in a joke, but as in "funny observation") because you don't have to do that, you can just play a D chord. But because it's so easy, many automatically will go for that "trick"
Yes, it just feels wrong NOT to do it, I just can't resist...
I learned it from "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and never went back to normal D chord
I love seeing SNL alum interacting with each other because they just totally fall into a groove of "yes, and", and it's so fun to watch ❤

I'd expect nothing less from the restless, groundbreaking creative pioneer who uses television to play Pictionary, sing pre-existing theme songs as Neil Young, and giggle through movie scene re-enactments. No one brings more to the table that was already at the table before he brought it.

Fred is right spot on with ska in Chile, just check out Los Miserables or La Floripondio, but I think even more in argentina with even more fusioned styles like Los Cadillacs, Los Pericos or even 2 minutos. What a talent!

@@joeboy4229 I remember those classes well. Unfortunately, Mr Borophyll inhaled a few too many methane particles from Fred's experiment that day resulting in a mild case of brain damage. He's still alive and doing ok. The positive is that you can tell him the same joke every 30 minutes or so and, due to memory loss, he thinks its the first time he's heard it.
