The APC BR1500G-IN was the only high end UPS I could find for my high end PC, but the reviews on Amazon really don't give you confidence on this product, so I test and address the issues that may keep you from buying this.

August 2020 Update: UPS started showing F02 Error, and it was just not starting up, and became completely non functional. But I called the Schneider service in India, and within 2 days they arranged for someone to visit my home, he came with a replacement unit with him, then ensured that my unit was faulty, and just swapped the replacement in place, but with the battery of my older UPS as it was UPS that was malfunctioning, not battery. This whole process took 5-10 minutes, so that was probably the best after sales service I've had with a brand. The new unit works perfectly.

On full load of your PC and monitor, how long, in time, does the battery backup?

bought this is in 2018, still no problems yet. It powers my 5K iMac, an additional 24 inch monitor, a ps4, RGB strips and my router. Still gives 70 mins of backup on power cut.

@TechReflex Hello, may I ask whether the RJ45 port connecting the PC and the UPS also double as a USB port for connecting to things like NAS? I can see "USB & Serial" is marked but the shape of the port doesn't seem to be a USB port at all. Thanks!

Hi, could you provide the method you used to fix the fan always on problem? I am facing the same issue. And the problem is that the UPS does not charge battery while the fan is running, and the fan uses battery power to run.

Hi bro, I have a Cooler master 850 watts silent pro and it is directly plugged into 3 pin 10a socket(without issues). I am only going to use the PC along with 144hz monitor . Now to use them with this ups , Can I use a 15 to 10a converter plug and use it to connect to the same socket? Or should I do a wiring of 2.5mm and have a 16a socket setup? I would really like to know if a convert plug would solve my issue coz the landlord is bit hesitant to do the wiring .please advise

Can I just directly plus my pc to wall socket and use in my place current goes like 5 to 6 times a week!!? Does that affects my pc parts and also heard that these days PSU are smart enough to control any voltage change or damage without affecting any parts

Bro, MY PSU is XPG CORE Reactor 850Watt. The plug is 16A and not fitting in this UPS as those are 6A sockets. Can you tell me what can be done to fix it.

  • @roadie91utube

How did you connect your PC's PSU to this UPS ? This does not have 16A socket.

Hello friend, I'm Brazilian so I didn't understand the language very well, but I have one at home, can I connect the PC and the rest as monitors? I've seen some people say that it can break the source of the PC...
