Always been a massive fan of the King since I started watching road racing in the UK after watching him in the 1979 British GP and his great battle with Barry Sheene. Managed to get his autograph at the 1984 transatlantic race series which I think was his last racing appearance in Europe. Of course you thrashed us with Spencer, Lawson, and Mamola et al. Would loved to have owned this bike but did not pass my test until 1985 and did not have the money as I had only just started work. Very rare this side of the pond now unless you spend thousands at a classic show.

I'm glad he wasn't low balled on the price. $5000 is worth it

Very fair price for a unique piece of motorcycling history, still miss my 1990 RZ350.

I could have bought one in 1989 but they were £3500 which for a 350 I thought it was a lot, instead I bought a FJ 1200 for £4500. It made more sense. I sold it 16.5 years later for £4100. It was pristine only 7k on the clock.

Yes I bought an FZR 1000 Exup in 1991 but wish I could have found one of these. Rode several of the earlier RD350 LC's a few years earlier and they were superb bikes. A mate owned one of the fully faired YPVS (F2) versions in 1986 and I have not seen one ever since. Have kept the FZR in the garage as it will perhaps worth more in years to come as they hopefully become more rare.
