I love the "trunk is stable" but "mentally unstable" hahahah
Omg, these characters are actually adults
Rarest thing to ever happen in anime.
@@MoonchildDontCry nah there’s plenty in the past. There’s more now too it’s just that the more popular one involves teen.
@@FoolMisinfoI'm sorry but have you seen the animes that have teens even sometimes kids as their protagonists?? There is no way you can say half of those are for kids/teens. The issue is the fact that a lot of animes take kids and teens and put them in more adult situations when they could just put adults in those situations.
I think Uramichi right here actually shows _why_ most anime are about teenagers. Adulthood sucks in Japan and they are all nostalgia suckers for high school, the last good years of their lives (and many of them still have to go to cram school around this time so go figure)
@@toony1232high school is worse, they study for hours and have high rates of suicide
Late 20s, always broke, emotionally unstable, still uses a piggybank
All the qualities of a fine upstanding citizen... like myself
Piggybanks are expensive, a true broke would use a jam jar
And you are proud of it?
@@NishantJain Clearly, they were being sarcastic and self deprecating.
@@NishantJainwe are doing the best we could
@@NishantJain I'm willing to bet you're not doing much better. People who are actually content in their lives don't take clear and obviously self-deprecation jokes that seriously.
Not sure if I should watch this anime. It will either make me more depressed or help me laugh at how miserable adult life is turning out to be.
there are some valuable life lessons too
I told my sister, “this anime is the millennial experience.” After she watched it she said she told her friends the same and they hated how accurate it was to their lives. Nobody is happy about it. It is just will so many anime about teenagers full of hope it is nice to be represented.
I'm I my 40s, this is still relatable for GenX too😢 but I recommend wailtching it tho I laughed a lot how accurate it is about our reality and yes, you learn some good stuff too
Well, it was the latter for me
I read the manga, it's mostly laughs
By the way Iketeru and Tadano's names are puns:
0:57 His name is a pun on "But I'm handsome"
1:16 Her name is a pun on " Just a singer"
Yeah, and kumamoto has kuma (bear) in it, same goes for usahara it has the usa part of usagi (rabbit) representing their charas, love it
And Uramichi full name is literally "Front field; Back road"
@@yukiettepham8805 What do those mean? How is it relevant to his character?
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme it emphasize his 2 facedness
I love that they're late 20's - early 30's because I finally feel seen.
This anime was such a great pace change, every freaking anime nowadays is based on high school, anime with proper adults which is not a hentai are the best.
Probably because adulthood sucks and is mundane that most anime put teens and kids as main protagonists/characters.
@@reeverfan3729 it makes no sense though when it's a fantasy setting. they have no reason to randomly throw in high school when you could blast fireballs with your nuts.
@@_toulousebcs teenagers like cool things and so they can self insert them self as the mc. That's why most shounen anime mc are high schoolers. It's not that deep really
@@tuttel3815 you don’t automatically stop wanting to shoot fireballs with your nuts when you graduate lmao
Bible Black?
Uramichi Oni-san is an education show that taught children about the harsh life of being adult and reality of life.
Im 21. In 7 years I’ll watch this anime and give my feedback
Can't believe I used to think oneesan was dating iketeru for like 6 or 8 episodes until she said her boyfriend is in kyoto 😅
Was that how the Japanese say "My girlfriend is in Canada"? 😂
Saaaame and that's the very reason I am rewatchung this clip after completing episode 6. They don't even mention it anywhere now that I rewatched it. breh
How you guys not noticing tho? In the 2nd ep it is also mentioned during her intro that she "has been living with her unpopular comedian boyfriend for 6 years"
@@rama4780who is her boyfriend?
@@Shushhi13in the episode where they gave their day off, she goes to her boyfriends comedy show. It’s really bad.
I just Graduated from college
And i have one advise for all you still in college
Enjoy your life while you can there is only pain, insecurity and depression after this part of the life 😶
So just more of the same then
I graduated over a decade ago and been in the workforce and my advice to you and any new grad is, you guys are screwed 😂 welcome to the adult life, lean on your senpai for experience, and dont let the job become your #1 priority. Having good work ethic is important as to climbing the ladder but dont let moments in life pass you by. People you used to know may not be around the next day because you choose to bury yourself in work. Money is important but so is yourself so make time for yourself, you got a long death march before retirement 😎
Only until you hit your 30s
Ha, jokes on you, because I was traumatized at 5 and so I couldnt possibly get any more depressed and hurtin' than what was always known as my 'normal state' to me literally since my conscious first formed
Howw 😭?? Im currently in college and am so dead inside
The BEST stress-reliever series to watch along w/ my old fave Arakawa Under The Bridge 😆🫶🏻
To think that we watch a series about stressed people to relieve our stress
@@jatisoem7472ah yes the irony..
Usahara being broke all the time sounds like gintoki to me😂😂
Same voice actor! 😂
Am now 31 same age as Uramichi, time to watch this.
The narrator is also the voice actor for Jiraiya in Naruto
the animators portraying millenials👁️👄👁️
1:39- you and me both, lady......
Esta serie se siente tan real, un grupo de chicos con sueños y grandes expectativas que al convertirse en adultos terminan trabajando en algo muy diferente a lo que habían planeado
Omg their intros are too real and too sad. Like what happens when people who spend their whole life pursuing a high level of arts don't make it to the top...
This has got to be the most accurately written representation of adults in anime 😂
I wish they do season 2
Still waiting/wishing for a season 2 to be honest
Tsurumi‘s voice actor is doing the introductions damn
Hot on the outside and ….burning inside 💀
Omg we both old ❤
We want s2
Most relatable anime ever 😂
The narrator sounds like hakurou from reincarnated as a slime
i'm still in high school but the way i kin iketeru is just--...it's just a summarized version of me...
I watched that anime at age 26...

Most college student are late teens and young adults.
blessed by the asian gene, I'm 30+ and every new person I meet would ask me how's school or where I'm studying
夢色カンパニー ジェネシス
Iketeru The ugly duckling swan
Dang, that, that kinda sucks for them-
Does anyone know the name of this anime?
Uramichi oniisan
@@mrminecraftcubeable thank you!
