  • Hedge trimming this evergreen privet hedge, this backyard hedge gets trimmed a handful of times throughout the growing season. Using a makita battery hedge trimmer for this job. We cut the sides of the hedge first, then trim the top, and clear up all the debris.

    Great job. You are one of the few hedge trimmers on social media who actually trims the bottom of the hedge. I don't think a hedge is complete without the bottom trim.

      Yeh it does make the hedge stand out more, i didnt do a tight line on this one as trying to get the gap from the ground smaller. Cheers

    Nice work! How do you find the battery trimmers compared to the petrol? I need to buy a new trimmer but expect that petrol are more powerful. I cut laurel which can be woody

    • @RJLgardens
      @RJLgardens  Před 28 dny +1

      I use battery more than petrol nowadays, I save the petrol for thick tough jobs or large hedges where i need the long blade length, the battery will handle thickish stuff but the blades blunt too easily, so use it on light stuff mainly.
