For Brits like me, Game is THE place
@@jamieherelol😏
Yeah, pretty much every game I've preordered from game has come a day or two early
@@jamieherelolsorry sorry. The stores called WHAT
it is pronounced how your imagining it as well@@Sillybeanz
CeX is quite good when it comes to old games and consoles, (sonic adventure 2 Battle for gamecube is only £15 there)
I pre-ordered Sonic Frontiers from Amazon and I actually did get it on its actual release date. Too bad it came out a day *before* its actual release date.
This is too funny 😂😂😂
Buying online is just really the best way nowadays.
Bro Can Proudly Say That He Experienced The Best Boss Fights In Gaming History Before Litterally Anyone Else
@@ajx2956it's not good for preservation
yeah same happened to me with pokemon shield
Having a physical game just hits different
Until you misplace it or lose it then it doesn't hit different
@@tproslayer4753just don't
How do you misplace your game though
Physical games are just better though
@@Sk83rNinja yeah fr. You own the game litterally
Suggestion if you live in Ontario, used games go with Microplay, old 360 games and stuff can be found for 5 to 15 dollars there
In the uk we have empty boxes that we bring to the counter and they then give you a real copy
Sma ein Australia, sometimes we have cards or stuff like that but usually boxes for games
Not in most shops, but I’ve seen that in Tesco
Walmart used to be the only place i bought new switch and PS games because, at least at my local Walmart, they would sell new or recent releases that were a full priced $60 for $50 instead. Unfortunately they stopped doing this ever since sony introduced the new $70 price.
buying resident evil 8 for 50 dollars 🥲
Best Buy's been the place I get most new games ever since when their Gamers Club membership was an absolute steal during the Wii, 360, PS3, and Wii U era
For Target & Walmart, they are placing the games inside a case for security purposes. Someone can open up the plastic wrapping and take the game card, and it's an easy steal. This will work even if there was anti-theft measures as game card usually do not have it.
Some stores will only display the game cases but opening up is empty. You'll have to ask the staff to say that "I want this game", then they will take the game with the game card from their store room.
Yeah most of these didn't apply for me 😂 I'm not in America and I don't actually have a local game store nearby
Same. My country doesn't even have any of this stores. And Amazon and the digital stores doesn't count.
thats the stupid thing about shorts, everytime i see someone debating whether gamestop or best buy or arbys or chick fil a is better i have no idea what these things are like
@@stijnstolze3018we need regional shorts
I live in Australia and where I live target is the only place that is here but it doesn't sell games, we do have an actual game place called eb games
How is there no game store on your country? Thats like saying theres no Starbucks in your country 💀💀💀
Wow how convenient, I just preordered Mario Wonder at GameStop
Target has $60 games(normally) selling for $40-50 around me atleast
I just buy from the Eshop.
Not any of the Target’s I know. Target is the worst place to buy a game. The stock is low and sales are rare. Are you sure you’re not talking about Walmart? Walmart is where I know the full priced games are cheaper than anywhere else.
yeah it was target BOTW was $40-50 and mariokart was 50 not on sale @@Ilicia_08
I got a copy of red dead redemption 2 from GameStop, and the disc was super clean. Looked brand new
In England, there are cases that don't have a game in, you have to go to the till to get one with a game underneath it.
It’s allways best to get it irl then digital bc when u get it real u get the exictment of opening the case and when ur bored open up all of ur game cases stack them and then close them all at ones (extremely satisfying)
Meijer : what about me?
Coryxkenshin recommends it.
Where I live, they keep the containers free to take but all the games and other things are behind where you buy everything
There is a game store in the UK called CeX and its perfect for videogames!
I got pikmin 4 preorderd on Amazon and it came at 9 am on the day it came out
Sam is the type of guy to- hol up something ain't right
Digital is the only way too go nowadays no point in getting physical copies that could possibly brake
Never thought I'd see the day, but your voice doesn't send me to the shadow realm the second it graces my eardrums anymore.
Massive win, and the content is getting better too.
Rare youtuber comeback imo
Well digital is your only option if your a pc gamer unless you have a disc drive
If you live in war bro, wa, Australia your best bet is EB games or jb hi fi
Target does price matching so that does make it better a little.
Little tip: if Amazon advertises arrival on launch day, and then it isn’t going to arrive by launch day, ask support. They will likely tell you it will. Then when it doesn’t, you can mention it again, and since they lied to you, you get TOTK Collector’s Edition for free. So you can go buy a regular copy to play on launch day then give that one to your nephew once the CE arrives
Not speaking from experience or anything
Go to the counter an run😂😂
Really hit me in the soul showing sealed 3DS games for the Best Buy part
My local Walmart usually gives a 10$ discount for most 60-70 dollar games
Walmart is amazing for games, they almost always have sales! 😂
Frrrr
I will forever miss the nostalgia of going to the local Target, checking out the Nintendo section, and pulling out the case to see how many copies there are. It always felt so special when there was one copy left lol, but I remember this time there was a game I really really wanted and we found it in target n I got all excited only to pull it out and discover there were no copies left.
*but*
*BUT*
The coolest ever target worker came up to us and was like nah you’re going home with that game and he gave us the display copy. I don’t fully remember what game it was at all but I do remember I definitely had the time of my life playing it, thanks target employee I’ll never forget you
I go to my local ASDA and you take an empty game box, take it to the till and they get you a real one and put the empty box back
Target tends to have a lot of first party games in stock, however, they get shipments of Switch games 2-4 times a week.
I'm going all digital now I only own one physical game for my switch but going digital on the switch is a no brainier don't have to worry about which games to carry with you.
I know it's a bit controversial to say this but I really love GameStop it's like a candy store for me it seems to be the last place of pure innocence in my life despite the problems with the company I kind of willing to overlook it just to have something pure in my life
i usually buy digital games so i don’t have to worry about switching game cards or discs
I pre-ordered Final Fantasy VII Rebirth from Amazon, and it's gonna arrive on March 20th. Wild if you remember game launched Feb 29th
Here in Greece we have public and in the public store the games are in cases too but they open then in the counter when you pay
I've never had a bad experience from Ebay. Plus I'm in the city drugs and shop lifting galore, I just have to unlock my mailbox for my games or pre-order from Walmart for pickup
If doing target or Walmart, shop for games on-line
I recently bought the Kingdom Hearts All in One package from Amazon, brand new sealed for under $30.
I respect having a physical copy, but the coupon deals on the switch are neat!
I am Australian, so we have places like EB Games, the "Australian" Target, Big W and JB Hi-Fi to name a few of the ones that sell their games on a physical copy of the game. But if you're buying from EB Games, the preowned stuff can be somewhat sketchy. But overall, I'd go with JB Hi-Fi or EB Games because JB Hi-Fi's stuff is usually sealed. And if you're buying new from EB Games, it's fine if you're buying something like a game for the latest gen console for example, just be sure to ask one of the team members for advice in case you need to.
GameStop is #1 but Walmart has price matching. I got Pokemon brilliant diamond for $25
Fun story: I ordered a watch of Amazon I waited a month they GAVE ME A MUDKIP POKÉMON CARD
I preordered from GameStop as a delivery and got it more than a week after the launch date
I go to GameStop a lot. Never had an issue with the consoles except for some scratched and cracked 3DSes.
I remember once upon a time, target had a buy two get one free for ALL 3ds games. If only i had money then....
YOOOOO ITS TRUE EMSWIZZLE LIKES PHYSICALS
Walmart consistently has random sales on Nintendo games that are full price everywhere else. Ive gotten most my switch catalog for $10 off or more.
CEX in the uk had got amazing deals and prices
Some times rarely games do on sale at target
My local Best Buy shut down and they tried to lie about my pc, but I guess that's more of a geek squad issue than a best buy store issue
Target my favorite store too 😃
Well tbf, the glass casing is there to make sure that people don’t steal the latest games
Like I did with Kirby and The Forgotten Land Super Mario Bros Wonder and Princess Peach Showtime! Walmart associates holds it for me until I come over here to pick it up
i remember when my dad would take me to target and I would go to the electronic section to play Mario kart wii on the wii demo
Most stores in my country just open the game's case while im paying at the counter
In Denmark we have "Elgiganten" which is the best store to buy games in Denmark
I love the characters on the store pictures
I love gamestop for their used games and i only had a problem whit one game cause when i got uncharted 4 the dvd was scratched so i went back and got a not scratched dvd for free
As a french for us its vinted and malls
0:40 I bought some games From Amazon that arent sold from Amazon themselves but from for instance My Games Direct and they perfectly shipped the games i ordered except for when My Freshly Sealed copy of Far Cry 5 on PS4 had 1 Problem, The Disc is Loose inside of the case. The Evil Within 2 & God of war 3 Remastered however shipped Perfectly, No Scratches, No Loose Discs, and No Broken Cases.
"I'm more of a physical gamer"
*Also his 1tb sd card laughing in the background*
In some Walmarts you have to ask in a another Walmart you don’t need a person
And also at Amazon, the packages may be delayed or destroyed when they get to your doorstep cause oh handling problems
Target where I'm at has a thing where there's basically a clearance spot for games. I got sonic mania for 20 dollars. And breath of the wild was around 45 dollars.
This is helpful since I’m buying Just Dance 2024 on launch but I will still be sticking with Walmart
I am glad i went digital with my games
This was pop up in my recommend and I swear he sound like Sonic if you can heard him clearly
I've had multiple occasions where I bought a game from Amazon and when I wound up getting delivered was a game from a different region. Which can make it difficult if not impossible to buy DLC later down the line.
I bought TotK pre-order and it came pretty early in the day
I love how I can only buy from 2 of these
I usually preorder on Walmart. All my Preorders come with a really nice bonus and it always comes on release date.
!
Honestly Amazon I’d say is more of a gamble, you can get it launch day, post launch day, or a day early (which happened to me with wonder!! :D)
Disc replay is amazing to get any type of game/console the got an Atari from where I’m from
In belgium you don't need to go get someone to open the case you can just take it and buy it!
Don't forget the few mom and pop game shops out there.
My local 2nd shop is called CEX and their Switch games are more expensive than brand new! Funny enough, I’ve never bought game there.
That's because Best Buy has a built-in camera on the price tag.
I live in the UK and we have cex and that is 10/10 I got lego ninjago for 3 pounds and even the used games and consoles are 10/10
I like buying used instead of new from gamestop only because when you purchase something new online and instore and you recieve its already opened and you try to return it they give a serious problem returning it saying it's open meanwhile they sent/sold it to me like that.
I am a digital guy just for the storage because I only have 1 drawer for holding my cases
In my country we have a place called smyths and they're good for new , I got totk for 65 instead of 70
I got super mario wonder the day earlier at night in GameStop
Target does have sales sometimes on games
I live in a really rural area and I go to my local game store pretty frequently. If my mom wants a game (eg: smb wonder) we will get it at Walmart but I got all of my used games and Pikmin 4 from my local store
“Prices are fine, but things can be disgusting.”
*proceeds to show a never before sold chocolate xbox*
I always buy physical copies of games on my Switch than digital even though they're some games that are digital only which sucks.
3ds owners when they see eshop bag in this video: *nostalgia*
i like digital, i understand why physical, but digital you dont have to worry about losing it, im bad at keeping track of things
the online store depends on the store the eshop will never ever ever give you a refund even if the game you bought never comes out unless they get forced to in court
Yeah...
Saying this as one of the guys at target that grabs said games. Go somewhere else, unless you're already there.
My bestbuy had the case for a game out but didnt have it in stock . They said they had it, it just wasnt in the store
I have trust issues with Best Buy, but hey at least they arent screwing you over in games yet.
Here in Australia we don’t got none of this glass case crap
I got spider man miles moralles for 12$ at GameStop
In Australia, everyone goes to JB HI-FI
Bad and good things for having it with no game cartridge or disc, the good thing is that it doesn’t take up good space but the bad news is once you lose all that data theirs no turning back
Target is so notorious for barely stocking their games, also there is hardly any employees at that electronics department so you have to go look around for an employee so they can call an electronic department worker to do their job...
For me GAME and CEX and Entertainment base are goated
