Im glad theyre doing more alternate colors. Those are such a big part of SF and with all the unique sculpts, Im happy to see more repaints. Still holding out for a navy and yellow Ryu. But man thats a lot of new awesome accessories. Hope they get used elsewhere.
Jada is one of the best toy companies with a lower budget! All I want from Jada now is yu yu hakusho figures. Just image getting the main cast with spirt affects and alternate faces. Yu yu hakusho figures with a budget under 50 bucks would make me go insane !!! We can get a wave with yusuke,kuwabara,hiei,kurama then a wave 2 with botan,the toguro brothers, and koema! We can also get alternate versions just like this chun li like hiei in demon or kurama in fox form! JADA PLEASE!
I love this color scheme. I passed on the regular Storm version because I preferred this color scheme on the one I got. It’ll be great to get Jada’s version, especially with the head sculpt for P1 included. Great review!
This is going to be worth it for the DLC content. Gold trim works so much better than yellow. I hope they release the blue Chun-li with gold trim on her dress.
adding the win pose face for the first release just puts jada up there with the best companies you can think of. ive only really seen high end or 3rd party companies issue pack-ins for previous releases or other characters in the line. i could be wrong. but really, do you think hasbro would ever do something like this? jada gots my money everytime.
Hasbro already did, in reverse, they packed in a lilandra , emma frost, and wolfsbane’s head just to release a whole new figure withe the different head later down the line. And then they do the exact same thing jada did with the new articulated black widow that was released last year.
If I remember right, the Grey Ryu with the blue headband that we got was the "first" alternate costume for him, the one that pops up first if 2 players are selecting him. For Chun Li it's the reddish pink one right? The Target exclusive? Getting both regardless lol, just curious.
I wasn’t trying to get p2 versions but if they add alt. faces especially for the original, I’m kinda mandated to get it. Is this a SDCC exclusive too??
I'm curious too I assume ken will be 50 like evil ryu but Chun LI package is smaller and she doesn't come props like the barrels so I'm hoping for a 30-35 tag on her

Jada headsculpts mostly fail. Gotta be honest man, just coz you get hooked up doesn't mean you have to sell out. Figs are good though, Dhalsim and Fei long are the only ones that have decent headsculpts so far.
while they may have a slight toonish quality (ryus alt head comes to mind) i think they are well translated from the pixel sprites. imo they look better than the figuarts (except the chun, but its close). im not sure what youre expecting since you didnt offer any examples.
I like each version of Chun Li they've made. Even though red doesn't get the new victory heads and hands it still looks tops. If the other deluxe figs like violent Ken had extra heads and hands to use on the regular release then that would be even better. As it is the knock Hasbro into a cocked hat.
Great way to add value to a repaint. Hope they do it for all the main P2 colorways.
they didn't. i got the red chun li and it has same stuff as blue.

Would also be nice if the bun covers were articulated for kicking poses hanging rather than defying gravity...
With this and the red one using the gold trim I wonder if they'll redo the standard blue

I'm tempted to paint the trim on my blue one gold. If I can get another from the new factory then I might try it on the original release.
I wasn't going to get P2 versions but that celebration head and hands for P1 are a must have. This just made the red one less desirable too.
The red one still looks great though.

Evil Ryu was $40 for me before tax and shipping. Hopefully VKen and Pink Chun Li are the same price.

good question since champion edition was red, and her turbo color was grey. i wouldve liked green myself.

Your tripping and hard, sculpts have been amazing so far. Much better than Storms.
