A lot of people are mocking Styles here but I think he's highly intelligent and sells the film well. The reality is that it IS a movie, and it will be watched in movie theatre's. 9 times out of 10 I go to the movie theatre to watch a movie.

@@PresidentHotdog barrowman was the only other celeb I could think of in notably switching accents. watch him on scottish interviews, then being interviewed in london.. I'm pretty sure he would switch before even when it was the same interviewer in a different location (eg lorraine). I think strong accents are easy to pick up, but its interesting how some people never change accent. I always wonder if there's just want to be accepted, on an unconsious level or not. For celebs that know what they're doing it's prob more of a way to gain support if on purpose
@@MrVidification it mentions this very thing in a book called Nightmare Alley. Picking up a few subtle local slang words and accent changes is a way to be accepted and gain a manipulative advantage.
@@MrVidification Barrowman's said before whenever he's around someone Scottish, since he was born there and raised by a Scots family, that he takes off his accent unconsciously, but when he was moved to the US as a kid (like aged ten or something) he learnt the American one so he didn't get the crap beaten out of him at school, and whenever he's filming it's more accepted than his natural Scottish one is, as Limmy's rant quite clearly proves. I even had a tutor at college here in Yorkshire who was broad Scots, could understand him, but he was forced to remove it or he would be fired, though as soon as he read a poem out it came.

Top and bottom of it is that there's no chemistry between the two of them at all, regardless of what anyone thinks of either of them, and that seems to be a running theme with the actors on this film. Either they're all amazing at their jobs that we won't notice or it's going to be one awkward film where all the characters feel like cardboard because the actors had nothing to bounce off each other with the tension and hatred between them all getting in the way.
This has made my day, even finding it 9 months late. It has everything. The angry Scottish bit at the end had me in stitches after all that build up.

15:04 Yeah that is messed up, maybe English and Welsh people would understand Scottish accents more if they were exposed to them instead of limiting Scottish media because of the accents. I live in Ireland and a Scottish person lives on the same council estate as me, when he first moved here I admittedly had a hard time understanding his accent but after awhile of talking with him it became clearer and clearer, he probably had a hard time understanding us too considering our accent is fast and can sound jumbled to untrained ears. I have no problem understanding Scottish accents anymore, either in person or the media.

Here's what's going on here: Harry and Chris have been doing interviews, answering the same question over and over again, for about three hours. It's the guy who retweeted the footage, trying to make a big deal out of nothing, who's the tw*t.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking; press junket, probably sat there listening to him come up with the same spiel for similar questions dozens of times. They're probably both tired, bored, uninspired and fumbling for new ways to say the same thing. Fuss over nothing. That accent though...
The guy tweeting is getting some serious clicks off it though and appears to have dedicated his account to furthering that. I initially skipped this and the other lengthy Limmy clip about it all as I didn't know what it was about and didn't care (not into celeb gossip in general), but only find myself watching it now as I'm bored and want some non-Queen related footage to watch.
